  1. ^^ Yes. Especially with their weak spots still so tiny.
  2. I was wondering about those. They may have rejected it because they already have an open bug (although usually something like that would be marked as a duplicate - I am not sure how Trendy does their bugs, though). Or they know about it internally in another fashion. If they seem unbalanced, they may explain why later after they put out all the fires. I'll check mine when I'm able to get on and add to your list. I think I have a couple not in there.
  3. Ok, I checked with the Offspring Unit. What @Valthejean and @ROK103 said was what he was doing (it was the only mention of Trials that he could find, so he went with it).. which is when he was getting the double rollers and being unable to clear the map because of them, so no new shards for him yet. His Abyss Lord and Dryad did hardly any damage to them, and he said he tried his Monk and he didn't have much of an effect, either. Neither of us have a Mystic. While I'm tempted to get one to help us through this, I feel like doing so should not be necessary to beat maps. And I had thought the hit
  4. Indeed! I guess we don't have to be quite so literal.. lol.. thank you both :)
  5. That's.. odd. This is what the notes said: In the Trials, the Knight Commander assigns you to a defense commensurate with your power. Survive enough Trials at a specific difficulty, and you will earn the experience, gear, and resources needed to survive more dangerous fronts. So we DON'T talk to him? We just pick a map, 1 out of the 5?
  6. We are having a bit of confusion over here about Chaos and Trials. The update notes said that the Knight Commander will say which Trial we need to go to, yes? That's where we will find the best loot, etc. Problem is, Sir Knight Commander only wants to chat and doesn't say squat about any Trials. Nobody does. My son has talked to every NPC in the private tavern and the majority in the public one, and nobody says anything about it. On top of the 2 absolutely huggable steam rollers he gets soloing in Chaos maps, and no reward for playing since none of them are actually Trial ones.. well. If anyon
  7. Flamethrower.. (the old one, even with its tiny range - haven't played the new patch yet so I don't know how they fared)
  8. A note about trading: Too many times to count, my kids or I have gotten a piece of armor or a weapon that the other character could use. Like.. I prefer playing my DPS Apprentice and my son always gets the good staffs - with excellent stats and desired effects. I get the gear he's looking for. Funny part is he doesn't even have an apprentice in his stack of characters. So we keep things for later, just in case trading gets implemented (they've said it's coming, but that was a while ago so they might have changed their minds). But it would be soooo nice to drop that item so that someone else co
  9. I find it strange that you are able to justify that post, considering that you haven't played it in so long and have not kept up with the changes along the way. It would be like walking into a restaurant and complaining to the manager about how bad everything on the menu is, when you only know the menu from 2 years ago and haven't looked at the changes made in all that time. So your complaints about no steak and too many salads were addressed nearly a year ago - but that's cool, hopefully you were just having a bad day and all those grudges held about the terrible menu just finally had to come
  10. Thanks for the explanation, and I agree. The reason I had asked was because your answer seemed so specific, so I was wondering if you had insider information
  11. Those were some pretty funny questions and answers ;) I have only one question for you.. mostly regarding this: quote:Do you think there are aliens? They exist but just not what we expect like in films. My question: How do you know?
  12. I might have to get one just to watch her do that :)
  13. Thanks for the pointers. I'll see if I can give them a go. I'm kind of surprised the glitches with the monk and gunwitch have survived this long. Those may have a fix in the upcoming superpatch.
  14. I did think it was strange that they said they're going to give gold to replace the medals spent - but it says to me that they think gold will have more value in the context where the medals were initially spent. Let me explain: You bought spheres with your medals. They are replacing spheres with another item. This new item takes gold to upgrade, and might be able to be upgraded with an unknown number of medals each time. (They may not have been showing the final code in their dev stream - medal upgrading could cost a lot more, or be completely gone by the time they are finished with their ch
  15. And like I said, we're in the NM3 > NM4 hole, incursions where we could get an upgraded piece of gear are out of our reach right now. We're stuck with maps containing rollers - or none. Your attitude about some "generation" and the gender to which you normally point your rudeness are moot - I've seen him try a Dark Souls boss for hours until he gets past it, along with the challenging aspects of other games he plays. I've been playing games since the Atari and know how to not only play every type of game out there but also take the frustration lumps along the way - as long as they were rea
  16. The rollers took whatever fun there was out of our NM3->NM4 hole we were in. My son now refuses to play until rollers are addressed. I'm thinking of trying incursions, but I'm not sure I'll be able to do the ones necessary to get higher gear. Thinking of getting a mystic to help, but I shouldn't have to. I think Trendy forgot that many of DD2's players only play for fun, that many are not at max iPwr and that some are in the NM3->NM4 hole. People like my kids will come up against rollers and be extremely frustrated, especially when trying to break into NM4. And they will leave to go pl
  17. They reincarnated it / kept part of it going as Innervate. DD2 is even on their Indie page (scroll down to the examples section). We can't be the only company using the software who would like some changes; one would think they could spare some time to fix some of the fidgety things, and add the really needed things (such as report and ignore buttons, and an option to follow - just like 95% of other forum software has).
  18. I kind of like the current quote controls, if we're being honest! I'm not sure how easy it would be to do on a non-PC device, but you can both (a.) quote people multiple times and (b.) delete certain parts of their quote so that it's much more obvious which part of their quote you're referring to (refer to my quoting of your post above ;D). Nested quotes can definitely get messy, but again, you can edit a quote included in your reply, meaning that you could completely remove a nested quote if you so wished. That being said, I think quoting works quite well as is, given that the power of choice
  19. Neither - they are both terrible on mobile. Are you able to change the code behind these layouts? Edit: Sorry, didn't mean to be so abrupt last night.. I was short on time, but I should have waited. Neither of these are good on a small screen - the blocks in the main section do not resize well, the text, tables, and graphics grow out of the page to the right (causing huge scroll bars), and the left menu stays there instead of disappearing into a mobile menu that can be accessed via finger press. From a quick glance, they do seem to be ok on tablet, although I did not go too deep into the wiki
  20. Yes but you do know that list of things you gave him is quite a feat to accomplish right? it will take him some time to compile all that data. Its okay, with the help of the community, I have already compiled approximately 90% of the passives list that players can currently use and they don't have to wait for the official statement. Yes, it will take them a while to compile it. The good thing is that it will be complete. You keep harping on this. Why? The first rule of software development security is that your code does not leave the building (unless you're going open source, of course)
  21. Iamisom is going to be giving us all this info officially, see the wiki thread. https://dungeondefenders.com/2/topic/136297/upcoming-patch-desperate-wiki We'll be adding it to the wiki afterward, and the patch notes thereafter will contain specific changes so the wiki can be kept updated. I do find it odd that you ask for help yet reject it. The 2 docs could be merged quite handily.
  22. Well hello, Negative Nelly, how nice to see you again.
  23. Not sure that it lets you give a referral code if you sign in through Steam, so I went through "Create new account." If you use someone's code, you get 5 points and so does the person whose code you use. Mine is mZnzw2i5ByS4l - not saying the one I used, but hopefully one of you got a random 5 points :) It says it automatically signs you up for the DD2 group there, but it didn't for me. I got prompted with a link when I went into the discussions area.
