About Ryster

  1. So seven flavors of Betsy all the way? More like four flavors of Nightmare.
  2. Ryster

    Opgrade

There is a collectors edition upgrade on steam.http://store.steampowered.com/app/336310/
  3. The Betsy Weapons have these special stats (I simplified the words): Bow: When attacking air units, creates a bunch of grenades that do damage. Sword: Jumping in the air and attacking will create a sword beam that does damage. (Similar to his first ability) Polearm: Creates mini-lightning auras when hitting an enemy with your secondary attack. Staff: Shooting the ground creates a curse field that applies to enemies standing on it. (Basically what Betsy puts on the ground during the incursion)
  4. When it comes to the experience thing. You both get the same amount of experience for finishing a level, but you are correct in the fact that the little accolades you get during the missions give good exp and there are more of them for tower killings than hero killing. In the end, it wont really matter since you get enough exp for the next map just based on the map completion, the bonus exp is just a nice plus. And it doesn't take much to get a hero to level 25. Inspecting towers is currently bugged, they do not show other players the skill spheres you have equipped. So say you have 1000 Defense Power, but 200 of that is from skill spheres, other people will see the damage on your towers as if they had 800 Defense Power. It is a known bug and hopefully they fix it soon. The person who owns the inspected defense is shown the correct stats. For the Betsy quests, the first 3 are meant to be done right as you get to level 20, so that is why they make you do it on that level. I agree when it comes to the first 2, since the map is the exact same on all the playlists, but the Betsy map actually changes based on what playlist you do. 20+ Free play and Incursion let you fight Betsy, 25+ doesn't have you fight Betsy. So they want to make sure you do the missions that fight Betsy. But when you get to the daily quests, again it wont matter, cause the incursion daily can be done on the harder difficulty when it doesn't specify, and the other time it will specify hard.
  5. Eventually, all pets will have 2 abilities as well, a Passive and an Active ability. We don't know what any of those abilities are yet. On top of that, as Gutu said, there will be a way to reroll the stats on your pets to try and get better stats. For now, Itsy-Betsy is just a rarer palette swap with a different attack pattern. I like even though the stats I got on her sucked. =3
  6. I don't think all ubers should be for sale in some shop using some currency. Assuming there are several Ubers for each class by the time the game launches, there should be different ubers unlocked in different ways. Some unlocked as the ones we have now, slowly from daily quests. Others from completing simple tasks, like beating the campaign for the first time. Others with harder tasks, like finishing 15 class specific achievements to unlock. If all of the ubers go into a shop, it is just going to feel like a daily grind. Which is fine since it promotes returning to the game, just boring for those who already were planning on returning the next day because they enjoy the gameplay, not the rewards. Rewarding players for playing the game at their own pace and when they are ready for a good reward is more engaging. Grinding missions to get currency, i.e. "each incursion map = 1 token" is also just as boring. Id would rather play a map several times because I enjoy the map, not because I want to grind currency. Currently, I know why they did it, cause it was a safe way to get ubers into the game without the game exploding with maps having 4 different ubers all going at once, having all the fun sucked away within a week. And the price, as stated early, because it is better to reduce a price and make others happier, than it is to raise a price and make others unhappy.
  7. Free cookie for anyone who can beat the first map on hard! (Cookie provided by Gutu of course)
  8. So far I have learned that Hard mode... truly is Hard... for a naked level 1 squire.
  9. Give me your RNG plis... I have 2 cathatters and like 15 purrlins.
  10. No, just RNG being RNG. Imphant and Purrplin are common pets to get from eggs, voodu and cathatter are uncommon, flicker and purrpeller are rare. So you are just having an unlucky time. I am at like 20 imphants by now, had to sell some to keep my bag not super full.
  11. Clearly Betsy Egg is the best thing to buy!
  12. I honestly am more worried about my dailies not being completed after I complete them. Causing me not to get my tokens for my uber... Who cares about the boots, if you cant even get your uber cause the dailies are broken. Lets get this fixed. I have not seen anyone having problems with Dailies being completed. Do you realize you get the tokens through an achievement at the end of the map, not by confirming you finished the map with the guard captain? You should see a banner pop up at the end of the map that says your completed it and got X wyvern tokens. Want me to stream it live for you? It's a real problem. Sure.

  14. They already have a fix for it internally, they just needed a little more time to test to make sure the bug was squashed correctly. We will probably be seeing a hotfix this coming week I hope. Until then, find some friends who are willing to do it legit and try and have some fun.
  15. I know we all enjoy our Wyvern Lovers and their horde of flying friends, but I think we can all agree they need a little help. When we all visit Forest Crossroads on Incursion, the first thing you might have noticed was a group of 3 ogres standing atop one of the cliffs, looking down menacingly. At first, me and my friends were freaking out, thinking they were going to throw boulders at us, or jump down on us at some point. Sadly no, they just walk down the cliff and into our death traps, and their precious wyverns melt to the burst from the sky guards. So we came up with a suggestion to make the incursion feel a little bit more like, an incursion. Well ogres really do enjoy throwing their snot at us, any we all know how annoying that can be. Imagine, on Forest Crossroads, if the ogres decided to help out in the earlier waves by hurling their gobs of snot down at us from the cliffs during waves 2-4. Wave 1 is clear, to get ready for the rounds. At wave 2, one of the ogres shows up and starts throwing. Wave 3, the second ogre comes and helps out, doubling the amount. And finally wave 4 has all 3 ogres hurling the snot down from the cliffs, slowing anyone hit. This won't affect the towers at all, just will be to annoy the players and make it harder to run around in the early levels. What do you think community? Like this idea? Or what else would you propose?
