  1. Support character with "programmable towers" Stats for Drones: Drone health: increases drone health. Drone effectiveness: increases bulder drone casting speed, attack drone damage, mana carrier mana pickup and deposit range, and loader drone speed while carrying defenses. Drone Speed: increases drone speed. Drone Mana Capacity: added to base mana capacity of drones. Towers: Builder Drone: Goes to each set defense in order and upgrades or repairs it until it runs out of mana or the defense cannot be upgraded or repaired. cannot repair itself. Attack Drone: Projectile attacker. goes to each set position and attacks nearby enemies for a set duration there, then moves to the next position. Mana Carrier: Flying. has increased mana pickup range while landed, lands at each set position to pick up mana and each set drone or player to deposit it. Loader Drone: Moves set defenses to set positions, requires mana to move while carrying defenses. Abilities: Overclock: drones gain double movement speed and do not require mana to operate while this ability is active, but take damage each second. Drone Reload: fills the mana stores of all non mana carrier drones nearby.
  2. Thoughts i jotted down when this idea came to mind, somewhat refined. Support character with "programmable towers" Stats for Defenses: Drone health: increases drone health. Drone effectiveness: increases bulder drone casting speed, attack drone damage, mana carrier mana pickup and deposit range, and loader drone speed while carrying defenses. Edit: I'm not sure how much of a summoner is in the works currently, but adding some of the basic ideas behind this would make for a more interesting class than "movable defenses that look like bad guys"
  3. So, if anyone cares, an idea i had recently that pertains to this would be to allow their towers to move, somehow incorporate a way to draw a path, whose length would be dependent upon the tower range stat, and have the towers follow that path through the air, like mini airships,, having very little hp, but the ability to possibly hold 2 lanes at once,i guess I'm posting it because i think it would go well with this type of character, but this would be cool on any class, and now that I'm writing this out, i guess it would be better to set up the checkpoint system for the towers, like the new wyvern system.
  4. What we would need is an enemy that both works extremely well against such a class, but also works alright against other heroes too, possibly a mob with an ability similar to the fountain trap (cant remember if that's what its called) where it throws heroes into the air, and then has a long-range anti-air cannon on its back, it would have to move reasonable fast or have the HP of an ogre to get close enough, but I could see it working well
  5. To be honest there could be a mele, and a ranged class that is air born. That would make 2 classes. two is better than one In most cases at least :p -Vys This is a good Idea, but if it were to be implemented, it brings us back to wallewallewalle's original post, some ranged character spewing death from above, it doesn't matter if they only have 1hp, if they are 2 miles over the map and just sit there holding the right mouse button.
  6. I know I was trying to be funny. I just see it as to difficult to maneuver and limited range especially if you have multiple flyers attacking as they did in the wyvern challenge. My other thought if they are melee flying are going to be barely useful. Especially as someone brought giving them little hp. Melee class with little hp. whats the point Melee is generally better def and higher hp. That's true, but low HP isn't the only way they could be balanced, prehaps one of the other ideas, only AA towers, no towers, etc. would be a better choice for balancing them, or possibly giving them moderate HP, as they really only ignore ground units if they ignore ground units, not taking them out, so at that point, their only bonus is map coverage and the ability to take on flying enemies. Edit: And again, I don't claim to know how it could be done well, but I'm sure someone could figure it out.
  7. come on an apprentice or huntress smiting from above, Not Op at all the point was that they would be melee, not ranged, a ranged flying class would be op, that's why I specifically specified they would have to be a melee class
  8. All these classes were originally concepts in the MOBA vision for the game. This vision has sence then been trashed as the Trendy team decided to refocus on the tower defence gameplay we all fell in love with. -Vys thank you, that was what I was wondering, I actually have only had the first game for a few weeks, but instantly got hooked, and when I saw a sequel was coming out, I had to look into it, so I'm still quite a bit behind, I guess I'll catch up eventually though
  9. So, looking through the icons, i saw some pretty interesting (future?) classes, such as the prisoner, and in particular, the rider, have these been revealed? or are they a mystery to everyone else as well? I know they released short blog-post snapshots of the 4 base classes, but haven't seen much of the actual gameplay, is it possible that riders could utilize a flying mount?
  10. Thanks for all the feedback guys, I've only just started here, so its nice to see such a supportive community Edit: just looked, and this thread is #3 mosts likes, thanks guys
  11. I originally posted this idea in the wyverns thread, but thought I would repost it here, I would really like to see some flying-melee options, a class that could fly, giving people who prefer melee the ability to take on flying enemies. a few ways people thought this could be balanced were low hp, as they can ignore ground units, towers that can only attack flying enemies, or even no towers at all, at one point it came to me that they could give the barbarian a "flying stance," but these are just ideas, it also came up that it might be interesting to have towers that could be summoned in mid-air.
