  1. I also agree, holding skills hostage so we come back each day is a terrible idea. The skill spheres are not what is going to keep most people playing. New maps and new gear will. I would put skins, tower skins, accessories, themed pets like Betsy egg and really anything you can buy with the real money gems in the token shop. You can even keep the token income slow, I would add other ways to gain them though.

The Uber spheres should have a gold cost like all the others.

  2. I already submitted through the tavern keeper but figured I would see if anyone else is experiencing this. Since last night I cannot incubate my eggs. The timer pops up, no egg shows, and nothing happens. If I close the menu and open it again its all reset. I can keep putting eggs in and clicking incubate and they will all be black in my inventory like they are in use.

Naturally I selected all of them and let it sit for 8 hours just to see if anything would happen. Nothing did. I have no Idea what broke it. Most likely has to do with the lack of a Pink Floyd poster. Without it everything just falls apart.

  3. There is already an experience boost when defending the objectives.

There was a lot of debating here on the forums and in game whether defending the sub objectives affected loot drops. People would insist the overall item power level of items was higher if you defended the sub objectives. Others said that wasn't the case and that it is better to have more enemies for more loot.

The Devs were very vague on the matter and never gave a definitive answer. I do not believe they intend to either.

  4. [[43252,users]] quote:
    • +1 Hero Deck Slot (current deck slots are 3)
    • +1 Slot for Hero Creation (current max created heroes are 6)
    • New title per prestige
    • + Players score per prestige
You just want more heroes per deck :P

But seriously, a couple issues I see which I am sure can be fixed I am just going to throw it out there:

What happens when the level cap changes? If I did prestige at level 60, then the level cap changes to 80, anyone who didn't get to prestige at 60 will have an even harder time than I did.

The decks would have to  be built, than unable to be changed. It would have to be multiple decks.

It doesn't make sense for me to have a character I have never even played, swapping them into my level 60 deck, then all of the sudden that character is level 60.

Also, once you prestige what happens to your gear?

Adding 1 hero slot each time you prestige will just make the deck pointless. I mean at that point they could just make your account level up and prestige, you can use all heroes and they are all the level of your account. Then you just end up back to square one, debating on whether they should remove the decks or not.

  5. this has been mentioned before, really, search through some recent topics before just making a new one...

but yeah, i think everyone will agree with you.

I mean I did search, looked through 4 of the 8 pages. I did not see anything specific to this. I figured this forum isn't exactly congested and another thread would not make a huge impact.

With that aside, do you happen to know if trendy has ever mentioned this or any plans to implement it?

  6. Please add a way for us to filter out which colored dots we want to show up on the map. Towards the end it is an item grind and when doing long survivals you end up having to just stare at your map to watch for a good item to drop so you know where it is before it gets buried under a bunch of bad items. No more two light blues and a grey looking like a dark blue :p

The items would still be there, just on the map the quality of items you choose would show up.

  7. 1. What were the biggest strengths of Dungeon Defenders' Ranged Combat system?

Well besides the obvious potential damage you can do from a ranged position, I would say their mobility is one of their strengths. They tend to move faster but they also have abilities that not only help them get around but are also fun as hell to use. Things like the jet packs, stealth and decoys not only work and make navigating the hordes of monsters easier, it also gives you little things to do during the combat phase. Jumping from stair rails, decoying to save a barbarian and the like.

    2. What were the biggest weaknesses?

They tend to die easier. Also I said potential damage above because most cases as a ranged hero you need to be right up on the monsters to do the most damage. This kind of defeats the purpose of being a ranged character.

    3. What would you improve about the system for Dungeon Defenders II?

Well I would add new projectiles as below. Also, include new abilities that help mobility like maybe a grappling hook so you can hang from walls and ceilings. Use it to get around the map in a stylish fashion. Again, I think these things make the ranged classes fun to play.

    4. What new projectile type would you like to see? (Think DD1's varied projectile types, but be creative! Ex: A projectile that explodes at random intervals as it travels before hitting its target.)

4a: Maybe a homing/heat seeking kind of projectile. This could help to alleviate the need to jump in front of a huge horde just so you can do the most damage.
4b: Maybe a projectile that takes on the properties of the towers it passes through. They pass through a fireball tower the projectiles turn into fireballs, ice tower ice projectiles and so on. This would also help the ranged character to not have the urge to just jump into melee range to do the most damage.

I am really excited about DD2. So glad you guys decided to go back to what it originally was. It is a very unique game and offers hours upon hours of fun.
