About widarddd

1. yup, fullscreen seems borked, and also input sometimes just doesn't work. seeing only gamespy for online mode really turned me off, too. what about the native steam-version for linux, are we able to add the port of DunDef and use TrendyNet?
2. The problem is because the launcher tries to find /usr/bin/gnome-screensaver-command and fails after it. So the actual fix for this problem if making the launcher doesn't find it or continues if it was not found, as obviously a lot of us are not gnome users.. For a workaround, just use this command: # ln -s /bin/true /usr/bin/gnome-screensaver-command source: phoronix foruns
3. i have to disagree with IceArrow, as the user is describing a segfault. Who is actually supporting the linux port? Trendy? Humble? Icculus?
4. It looks like the port was done by icculus (who has done a ton of the ports for Linux games). There's a bugzilla tracker at https://bugzilla.icculus.org/describecomponents.cgi?product=Dungeon%20Defenders that you can submit to Great! Finally some place to adress our issues! :)
5. some googling revealed that it looks like this error is quite common, and just occurs after exiting processes. (i even get that after exiting glxgears) the real problem remains hidden, and i couldn't find any way to get more debug information. reading around also revealed that it looks like trendy didn't really port the game to linux on themselves, the Humble-Team did. and it seems the only way these linux-versions get updates is, again, by the Humble-Team. http://support.humblebundle.com/customer/portal/articles/576995-how-can-i-learn-about-game-updates- and take a closer look to that twitter-account..
Ethan Lee @flibitijibibo I'm that guy who's porting that thing to Mac and Linux. And then adding a bunch of audio tech to it when nobody's looking.
soo.. i really hope i am completely on the wrong track here, but it looks like any support we will ever see (be it technical or updatewise) will come from this poor fellow. oh boy, i already regret buying this just for the sake of the linux-version.. :/
6. Hey, i am trying to run the native linux version on Lubuntu 11.10, this is the error i get: XIO: fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server ":0" after 198 requests (198 known processed) with 0 events remaining. XIO: fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server ":0" after 18 requests (18 known processed) with 0 events remaining. Thanks in advance
