1. For those of you who lost items or data, you can e-mail "lostheroes@trendyent.com" with details on what you lost. We will eventually be able to get to all these e-mails, but it is a slow process. We just moved offices and just recently finished setting up computers, so our support team is still working on restores from before these database issues (backlogged from last year).
2. The gameplay losses were due to a couple brief database errors. We have since doubled the size and we are working to ensure it doesn't happen again. Sorry about the trouble.
3. Hey, This was probably due to the database error we were having this morning. Sorry about that! Are things working for you now?
4. I will do that later, unfortunately, not home to do that now. I play on a wireless connection, everyone else on wired. I understand this could be the problem, but what I am curious about is why once it goes to three players I get the freeze. Can you try it on the wireless and off the wireless and see if there is any sort of trend?
5. What kind of connections? Are you all on Wired/Wireless? The more information you can provide, the better.
6. I have a similar problem. Mine completely freezes/sometimes fully crashes, but this only happens when I go to the tavern with more than two people. When playing with my buddy, I never have freeze. As soon as we add another person...EVERYTIME going to the tavern after a level I freeze up. What kind of internet connections are you guys on? Are you all on the same connection? Could you provide some more details on that?
7. *UPDATED* with info on "CFS: EVENT CFS_OnFileLoadError: ERROR 0 MESSAGE"
8. Hey Dungeon Lovers, So you can’t connect to TrendyNet? This could be one of many reasons. The first step is to check TrendyNet's status to see if it's reportedly down. TrendyNet Status. You can also check for Steam downtime. The second step to figuring out what your case may be is to create a Log File of an attempt to connect to TrendyNet. You can do this by visiting the following thread: http://forums.trendyent.com/showthread.php?4797-Submitting-Crash-Dump-Files-and-Logs Remember, you are getting a Log File, not a Crash Dump File. Once you have the Log File, open it up in Notepad. Use “Ctrl+F” and type in “CFS: EVENT” This will bring you to the error you are receiving and will look something like one of the following: CFS: EVENT CFS_OnLoginError: ERROR 15 MESSAGE User authentication failed, user banned or CFS: EVENT CFS_OnLoginError: ERROR 116 MESSAGE HTTP Error 116 Status Text: 'Open URL Failed: Wininet Error Code: 2 Now that you know what the problem is, you can begin to resolve it. If you received “ERROR 15 MESSAGE User authentication failed, user banned” then you have been banned from TrendyNet. If you do not know why you were banned, send an e-mail to feedback@trendyent.com with a link to your Steam profile and ask him politely to look into your case. If you received “ERROR 116 MESSAGE HTTP Error” then you have not been banned, but there is most likely an issue with your “Work Offline” mode, Anti-Virus, or Firewall. These errors will be accompanied with a Wininet error code. The first step is to identify your code. The following is a link to a webpage with descriptions of Wininet error codes and what causes them: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/193625 Next, you should be able to determine a solution to your specific codes. The most common that I have seen is Wininet error code 2, which can be solved through the following steps: On the desktop, • Click on the Start button • Internet Explorer • Tools • Work offline, this is probably ticked, please untick this Now again click on • Tools • Internet options • Connections tab • Select the box that says ‘Never dial a connection’ This should now allow you to connect to TrendyNet. ***Log: CFS: EVENT CFS_OnFileLoadError: ERROR 0 MESSAGE A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the login process. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.)*** This was an issue this morning that people were getting due to a full database error. It should be fixed now. Just let me know if you are still having issues. If you cannot find a solution online to your specific Wininet error, you should try adding Dungeon Defenders to your allowed programs in your Anti-Virus program and Firewall. If that doesn’t work, try disabling your Firewall and Anti-Virus program to see if that helps. If you have any questions, feel free to post a new thread asking for help. Thanks and happy gaming!
9. I can play the game fine solo mode but when I attempt to connect to a friends custom game it cannot find the game. And when I make the game they cannot find my game. also my online always tells me my password is wrong when I know i'm inputing it 100% perfectly. I'm not sure what's wrong and i'm at my ropes end. Make sure your device isn't auto-shifting the first letter of your password, or make it start with a number.
10. I have the same problem in online play... Well maybe not the same. It says that i have wrong password or login... For your main Gamespy account? Make sure you're using your e-mail address as user name. Also make sure your device isn't auto-shifting first letter of your password.
11. Thanks for the info guys, I'll pass this along and see if there is anything we can do on our end.
12. Hey guys, This actually WAS a problem on our end. It will be fixed in the upcoming patch, though! Sorry about that! - Joey
13. Is anyone else having this issue? If not, It may be an internal thing and I may have to redownload it all... I haven't gotten any reports from anyone else that this isn't working yet. It might be something on your end? Just to be sure we'll look into this on our end as well.
14. Hey, Please send an e-mail to "rgodwin@trendyent.com" with "Lost Chicken" in the title and explain what happened in the body of the e-mail. Thanks.
15. For those of you getting this crash - are there any crash dump files being created? Instructions/link are in my signature. If so, PLEASE send them to me at "jpeters@trendyent.com" so we can figure out what's causing this. Thanks.
