Yeah, the community is actually pretty great normaly. I was expecting to read another rant here, so this is refreshing!
People who complain about insta-kicks probably just come into a NM game with 5% resists or something crazy... ^_^ -

I can't wait until Kandar takes a break, lol. Half the community will be oblivious as to how to build high end levels.
Anyways, to bad so many are leaving at the moment. As for those who say hackers don't affect anyone but themselves: I like playing the game in a fair way. If I keep an eye on my AFK shop's customers, you really don't want to know how many of them suddenly have 2 billion mana out of nowhere to but a few of my 600 million priced items. Makes me sad to see that people who've actually saved up and played for that currency now are unable to get the item. =/ -
Furthermore, it's THEIR game. Not Steams. Trendy can, at any time, decide the game should be multi-player only and remove the single player tag from Steam's advertisement for them. No-one would benefit from this, mind you, but that is a right they have. They could also do it the other way around if they so choosed.
Heh, if this was any other type of consumer product you'd rage. Imagine that instead of patching DD, you bring your car to the garage for maintenance. When you get back, they've taken out all the seats except for the driver seat. "Yeah, we chose to make this a 1 person vehicle for now. We don't care that you bought this product, since we designed it and can do whatever we want."
I know it's a far fetched example, but it should get the point across, right? People can get mad if you change something major on a thing or a service after the purchase, simple. -
I'm starting to wonder if this whole higher value thing is even true. Because if it is, then why have I seen plenty of myth items disappear, while there's still crap such as amazing and powerful gear on the floor? And no, those didn't come from chests.

I seem to experiece the same network lag issues that have been pointed out in this thread as well. However, I'd like to point out something about the gfx caused lag.
Lower the settings, or get a better computer. Sorry to be mean, but that's basically it. You may be able to twiddle with your config, but it's basically a performance issue. That's been around forever.
Heh, running 2 Radeon HD 6850's in crossfire, 8 gigs of RAM, a Phenom II X6 1075T, everything overclocked till where it's just stable... pretty much a rig that I'd put quite a bit above what the average user is using. You're telling people it's a hardware issue. Lol. This game does things that make the fans on my system actually have to work at levels which games such as BF3, Skyrim, etc won't even reach on their maxed out settings. The problem simply lies with DD, not with anyone's systems.
People need to cut the crap about the hardware already and realize that some textures in this game are getting close to the freaking burn in test settings of Furmark. And that's a BAD thing. I'm suprised that people with lesser systems and higher settings aren't getting crashes and stuff yet. Or they just don't notify anyone, since there's probably only a small minority of players active on the forums.
Trendy... please just look at the fire and other gfx already. Several Trendy employees have stated that it's being looked at, but that's several patches ago and we've seen nothing in the notes as of yet. The game was fine when it was new, but these 0.06 firing speeds are taking it's toll, lol. Both on the graphics lag, as well as for the incredible amounts of data being send about the damage numbers for each connected client in a multiplayer game. -

Or like Call of Duty MW3 where they give you like 3 warning messages before you prestige.
Don't mean the flame CoD players, but if the voice chat in the average match is any indication of user intelligence... you know what I'm trying to say. Also, it's not Trendy's fault when people are using broken controllers, or one of a type not even officially supported in the first place.

However, a delay of a few seconds before the char is deleted could be nice. Something like a boss countdown timer, you know. It'd fit into the style of the game, and it sure as hell beats being treated like a retard as in a game such as CoD. :p -

In case the OP doesn't know what you guys are suggesting: software such as Microsoft's Virtual PC or VMWare Player can emulate a separate Windows on your computer. However, it requires quite a bit of tech knowledge if you'd want it to work smoothly for online gaming, and an additional Windows license.
All in all, I wouldn't recommend it for this purpose. :p -
Just like the Barb (changing stances with the gamepad is -hideous-), it seems like this willl be a mouse/keyboard only, in practice.
Real time strategy has never worked with a gamepad. Ever.
Halo Wars was quite easy to control with an x-box 360 controller, to be honest. It wasn't the most in depth rts of all time, but I guess neither is DD, eh? I wouldn't give up hope just yet. -
That'd take away from the rarity of huge swords and such, making any good squire / barb plummet in value.
Bad for traders, good for people just starting out. I like it, even though I trade a lot. -
Or run Insane Aquanos for 5-10m a run.
And from 78 and up make it NM. The xp boost from the last patch on NM is amazing. It's like doing 2 insane runs in half the time. -

My only issue is, I would hope there would be something to help confirm this for each map. Like Gunslinger or Master Strategist when you finish a map. This is something I hope Trendy can let us know asap.
My guess is that they'll add in some sort of new accomplishment reward for this, since that's how the game keeps track of such achievements. -
ok so i just noticed they added some new achevements andlooking at them makes me think how can one type of char be added to the game that can do this without other ones being used and not be over powered

Isn't this kinda like Brute Force -Achievement. Not a solo achievement in my opinion. Rather just playing with summoner along other players using overlord-mode.
You could do brute force on as low as easy mode, I think. That's hardly an achievement to compare one to which has a nightmare mode achievement.
Besides, you say that an achievement which can also be done with multiple players can hardly be a solo achievement. What the heck is your point there? The achievement implies that you complete it without towers and in overlord mode. Not afk in overlord mode while others do the work...
Way to be cynical about a game which you have invested close to 1000 hours played in. :pI want an Orbital Strike.
Oh my, could this mean that we'll see non-afk builds from Kandar...? Hurray for variety in game design. ^_^ -

Mega spider webs which affect djinn too...? It'd be the best thing since sliced bread if we could get something to take care of djinn and not be afraid of it being desummoned. I mean, that's like the best part of this stuff. You probably won't have to be worried about djinn simply poofing these things out of existence. :D]
Also: what was that again people said about Trendy not catering to solo players? This is pretty much the most obvious solo achievement ever, and pretty cool in my opinion! -

So I guess that a good geared summoner is going to be awesome to use!
That should give the haters who've been yelling "waste of DU" at the idea something to think about!
I personally can't wait to give it a try! What strategies do you guys think we will be able to come up with? The summons seem to pack more of a punch then most people were expecting, or can simply take a lot more, haha. -
1. Make a minimum distance that they can charge at, they cannot just be standing next to your walls and charge.
The sharken regular attack has a massive pushback as it is. If they're standing next to your wall and able to attack, you're screwed with or without a charge anyway. ;) -
I'm just curious if he can wield 2 of the same pets at the same time. Considering buying myself a cube to add to my own. Should be a fun sight and good mana, haha.

I always do glit insane, build and just afk the rest while watching a show or movie. That's what I did to get all 12 char to 83.
I used to do this, but now I can do the same to aquanos, which gives better xp. ^^
