About Baker3

  1. Any estimated time to when the next update will be released to fix this problem?
  2. No one is replying due to the actual fact that there is no answer to respond with, Dungeon Defenders is at this point in time EXTREMELY unstable on all mac versions, and it certainly doesnt take a lot to crash it. Many other people like you have this issue at the moment and the only way to fix it is to wait for the next update where we hope they attempt to address the problem of crashing, horrible performance etc.
  3. Sorry don't listen to me, refer to post above.
  4. DD has always had major problems with running on Mac, sometimes updates make it stable, but most of the time it causes crashes and even more problems then they originally started off with. I'd wait for a new update before posting anymore, because it is unlikely that you will be able to fix it without changing any settings or what not.
  5. Even with all the settings turned down low, sound off, and basically everything turned off to prevent this game from crashing, still doesnt help, as joining games that are loading a new map, joining people's matches, and even fighting enemies is a huge issue when playing this game. The instability of the actual engine keeps crashing no matter what settings are put on, even though I can run at Medium graphics, however it crashes anyway. Would hope to get a fix for it sometime soon, as have already recorded 80 hours with DD and only just started playing again, but have already encountered num
  6. That seems normal. I hang on that screen or the TE intro every-time I play. Sucks. Ah alright, thats all good then
  7. Hmm. If you leave it alone for a while, does it ever eventually come up / crash and give an error message? Or does it stay frozen indefinitely? Also, have you tried going to the game's properties in Steam and Delete Local Files and then reinstall the game? Just tried to start it up, and it worked and loaded properly, only problem was that it got stuck on this screen for about a minute. http://imgur.com/a/lgzzb Thanks for your help :)
  8. could you show me a screenshot of what your dungoen defenders folder looks like (Steam\steamapps\common\dungeon defenders\), use a list view and make the window big enough that I can see it all. http://imgur.com/97yHw
  9. Please don't bump threads. We understand you still need help, and I assure you you're not being forgotten. If you could post anything further you think might be of use in diagnosing the issue, please do so and we can take a look. If you have any crash logs (which should be found in \Steam\steamapps\common\dungeon defenders\binaries\OSX (or similar, it should sound like your OS), please upload them somewhere and give us a link so the people who can interpret them will be able to take a look. I got to the dungeon defenders folder, however it seems like there is the executable file of the game
  10. I'm going to bump this, as there hasn't been any responses in 3 days. Help is still needed.
  11. It has the minimum requirements needed to run DD, tried changing out all the settings, but doesn't like any of them. -Freezes at the cutscene about the heroes/storyline. -Have played 66 hours so far (if this is any indicator that I've played/had it working before) -Stopped working after steam update of sorts? Updating files to a new format? - 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo - 4GB DDR3 - Nvidia Geforce 320M If you need any more information just ask
  12. I've been playing DD for a couple of months now with a small amount of problems, however after steam asked to update the file/s and convert it, it no longer wants to open properly, as it just stops loading and I am forced to quit it. Any insight possible would be appreciated.
  13. I just bought the game in the Indie Royale Bundle, and it's literally unplayable. It's not like I have the fastest computer (stats below), but I can run much more technically demanding games than this one without a problem. I've been monitoring my ram, and as soon as I open the game, my free memory gradually drops to 0 at which point the game freezes. I tried closing everything else and running it by itself, and the same thing happened. I've messed with all of the graphics options, and nothing seems to fix the issue. Macbook Pro Mac OSX 10.7.3 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SD
  14. I've seen this being said multiple times on other mac complaint threads, maybe look around the forums first? We're still working on the mac performance issues and we have an update in the works right now. Hopefully we can get the patch out soon to help make the game play smoother. So we haven't forgotten you at all, it's just the performance issues can take a bit longer to fix than a normal issue. Some players have had better experience by turning off sound in the configuration menu(outside of game not inside). I would try that if you haven't and see if that helps out a the issue a bit.
  15. Well I just went into my config to edit some keys, and its suddenly decided to work. Problem solved....?
