  1. It’s great that you enjoy this game. I’ve enjoyed this game in the past as well, spending countless hours grinding and having an absolute blast with friends. But for people like me, now we continue to wait, whilst Trendy continues to push back on countless promises. Being a console player, watch as their dates get pushed back even further whilst they need more time to fix messes they created from being too optimistic. They've got my cash though, so I guess they don’t really care. As is the opinion of many white knights that have popped up here. It seems like criticism of poor decisions isn’t being tolerated by the community which is a real shame!
  2. Just tell them which map/playlist to accomplish the achievement Gutu and be done with it...lol! So... Junbao? =p
  3. I don't think this conversation is going anywhere gents. You both seem set in your ways. Trendy can't support a non-viable platform forever.
  4. I don't think it is a chronic issue at all. Insulting trendy and continuing with the rants isn't going to solve this unfortunately =(
  5. Great comment Satori. Very eloquently said mate ;)
  6. i was here when dd1 came out around December 2011 and it had its bumps but iv been around since 2011. forums was not really my cup of tea shall u say at that time but i am just like u also i dont care how long it takes i would rather want a complete ready release then a rushed buged release October 2011. That's when the original DD released on console and PC. =) Prior to that, DD existed on mobile from around December 2010. You really can't judge how long a player has been around the community by forum join date...lurkers have and always will be a thing But lurkers have no community input. It's also hearsay, as I can say I've been lurking since Jan 2000. Doesn't make it true. The main point is it doesn't matter how long you've been around. Just that you contribute and share views and opinions =)
  7. Hi, i got a strange "white box" on top of the forums since yesterday and i haven't found any way to get rid of it : And i don't see the playverse thing anymore, anyway to make things like before? Am i the only one to experience that? I'm getting the same error =\
  8. Simply having two different systems of mana is baffling me. The system wasn't broken in DD, just the costing etc.
  9. Councilors could get a TE pet that looks like a mini version of the TE crystal. It would represent Trendy, maybe it could rotate, and it could be like the chicken where it can't be dropped. If it's going to be just an item for collection purposes then it could have all 1 stats. If it's going to be a useful item then it could be a tower pet. The pet's ability could be that it increases rare item drops by a certain percent. I don't want to seem like I'm picking on anyone here; especially you reaper ;) But one thing I don't get is people would walk over broken glass to be in our shoes and have the ability to test and play DD2 early, yet we ask for more? I know this is just my opinion, but I feel it incredibly selfish of us to ask for special items, especially items like the above described. It wouldn't be fair and would make people jealous of the special treatment. I firmly believe that any kind of "Council" related accolade should be cosmetic only and for the character, nothing that can be equipped as such. I think it best we not create a divide in the community, and treat the Council as a privilege and not a chore/workplace where we ask for payment. I may be alone here, but my payment is being able to help shape this game with you guys. Sharing incredible ideas and making true impact on what TE does (hopefully making TE very, very rich). =/
  10. Tu quoque ("you also"). Just because you don't like something doesn't make it unfair. I actually did host public games. Not often, but I did on occasion. I actually never saw very many griefers. Also, griefing runs both ways, so there needs to be a fair system in place to both deal with the problem and avoid abuse by the system. Fallacy of False Cause. You assumed that because I said A was false that B must be true. I explicitly stated that I wanted to progress through the content, at the pace which was intended, without being forced to the top or carried. The thing is, you have explicitly stated that you didn't want to grind. Read your messages. The absence of mid level players is due to people grinding solo. You could have bucked the trend yourself and hosted, but you didn't. I haven't had to make up anything you said. It's not a false cause at all. It's what you have said. To come out and say you rarely hosted, well, doesn't that just answer itself? Maybe if you hosted more you would see the issues. Again, I'll state this very clearly. Griefing is by design, a fault of poor implementation of loot and reward systems. Griefers can delete and summon defenses that the host doesn't want. What is your solution to that, mate?
  11. Make friends, host game, play game with friends. Works like magic. I agree. Some people just think they have universal rights to do whatever they want though =\ Also, here's a list of threads you should go read. The old kick system was universally reviled by pretty much everyone, even people who used it responsibly. http://forums.dungeondefenders2.com/showthread.php?78679-the-aggressive-kicking-need-to-stop http://forums.dungeondefenders2.com/showthread.php?72575-Seriously http://forums.dungeondefenders2.com/showthread.php?67978-About-kicking-people http://forums.dungeondefenders2.com/showthread.php?64408-Kicking! http://forums.dungeondefenders2.com/showthread.php?64203-An-idea-trendy-can-do-to-kicking-issues http://forums.dungeondefenders2.com/showthread.php?71359-Idea-for-Kicking-Players http://forums.dungeondefenders2.com/showthread.php?86275-So-damned-tired-of-this-BS! http://forums.dungeondefenders2.com/showthread.php?97085-People-like-kicking! http://forums.dungeondefenders2.com/showthread.php?99761-Kicking-never-get-old-lol And that was just a rudimentary search of the old suggestions/general forum. Firstly, you've been around long enough to know not to double post. Use the edit button. Secondly, just because people don't like something, doesn't make it unfair. Had you probably hosted your own games instead of trying to tag along with everyone else, you would have seen there were far more griefers than people expected. People aren't required to host a private game, you're just creating rules based on what you want. You've stated previously that you didn't want to grind to get up, so that to me seems like you wanted others to carry you through. If you can't see the insults, then maybe you should review your posts before you hit "post".
  12. Considering DD1 is pretty much done dev wise, I dont think I will be getting one. I made the comment as more of a statement to the huge difference in the number of posts between myself and classic. I have spent a lot of time posting and reading forums so I cant imagine how much time the forums ate up for classic. Far too much, especially when I was moderating. The contest I won was held well before the release on console/pc. Just took them a long time to follow through ;)
  13. This sentence makes no sense. None what so ever. I never said I didn't want to grind and I specifically said I didn't want to leech. Also, your entire argument boils down to "If you don't like it, go host your own lobby" which is basically Argument By Dismissal, which is a logical fallacy. It's not a reason to keep the system, it's not a reason that the system is good. It's just "if you don't agree with me, shut up"; it's a variant of Ad hominem. Your argument against a hosts right to kick is that they shouldn't be able to control their own game? You haven't put up any kind of logical debate as to why a host should be able to be crippled by those that join. You can poke as much holes in my point as you like, but keep your insults to yourself. If hosts can't control who is in their game, they'll just end it and start a fresh. They aren't obliged to help/play with anyone and hence they won't. People don't have to play privately. As Iyashii has pointed out, keep it civil mate.
  14. Sigh... Give it a rest kid. Lol, usually the one who uses the word 'kid' is one :) It was a serious question. More detailed information ;) Gents, let's keep it civil =)
  15. Now I just need to figure out how many posts I need to get my own weapon like you. :) 0. You needed to win the contest that entitled you to a weapon named and described by you ;)
  16. It's called "host private." A host has no right to be a complete [censored] just because they're the host. "Wow, you're a great player. But look, loot! *Kick* All mine!" "Nice build. *Kick* Thanks!" "You're doing a better job than me. *Kick* That high score is mine." Then again, take my advice, host your own game. Solves all your problems. That way you can kick all the people that all sell your defenses, take your loot etc. You make comment that you didn't want to grind to have to play with the high levels, and thereby insinuating you wanted to leach off others? The amount of games I was kicked from was insignificant compared to the amount of games I joined and went right through. The issues you describe aren't a fault of the host kicking, rather clumsy design with rewards and loot drops.
  17. Yeah.. apparently I post a lot. Although I do try to make most of my posts useful. And to your point, proj speed does cap at 30k. I was referring to the damage on my drill being 40k. Hehe =p I do agree though, quality over quantity. ;)
  18. Any chance on an inbox increase to 150? Pretty please with an eternia crystal on top?
  19. I think that Gold should be used in the links in posts. Gold everywhere is just a little over the top.
  20. Let me take that burden off you shoulders, I'll take your pet. Live with a clear conscience. Also, do you need those in-game council booster packs then? Eat or be eaten, ya know? ...I need some green tea... I really don't see why you needed to insult me? I don't insult you over your opinion....
  21. So...three people...out of four...being friends means they have impunity over...one open slot. The horror. The Left 4 Dead community must be up in arms over this complete tyranny. Also, gear is instanced in DD2. You can't loot-ninja. (Note that you're advocating that ONE person being able to kick EVERYONE ELSE in order to loot ninja. Waitaminute.) It still should be the hosts right to play with who they want at any time. If you don't want to get booted, then host your own game :) The previous kick system allowed retarded players to kick with no reason... If they don't want people, they should host a private room for friends.... I think you should drop the insults and have more respect for everyone :) It's not your right to have control over someone else's game. They can kick you for whatever reason they like. They don't owe you an explanation or reason. I've been kicked so many times before, even after I've single handedly helped them reach the final wave. My reaction; oh well. Less hostility and more hosting mate :) (The chance of griefing others is just too high if the host doesn't have control.)
