I'll include two... because my journey with this game has been split heavily into two pieces.
My first experience was the first time I fought the Demon Lord. I heard about DD1 when i was 15ish and I invited my friends over to play this amazing-looking couch co-op on my xbox. Well bodda bing bodda boom, we started to fall in love with it immediately. When the four of us landed at Alchemical Lab, a boss was the last thing we expected, and if I had a sound-clip of our voice-cracky, mid-balldrop voices squealing around my basement as that countdown commenced, I would listen to it on the regular just for nostalgia effect.
Fast forward 5 years and my buddy (from that same couch) GofTheMaster and I both have full copies of the PC version, and It feels like I'm relearning a brand new game. Over the next few years after that, CDT updates begin, DD2 happens aaaand the DD:A beta (which I bought copies for Gof and myself <3), and GofTheMaster and I find ourselves with the goal of 100%ing the community updated DD! before DD:A is officially launched. Cue jumpcut to our Transcendent Survivalist --we are easily able to beat any level on survival-- and we find ourselfes at wave 24 on Magus Quarters. "We're fine Gof" I say, with our 4 archer minions that we put way too much faith in. "No Kaz, we're absolutely fucked" Gof says as I tab back into see our auras down from djinns, and our crystal getting SHMACKED by some goblins.
(There's also the time Gof walked me through ToP, and he said "You gotta do this" then immediately fell of his orc onto the spikes.)
That was all last week :p
Anywhoo... here's my profile page
