    I think what hes saying is that the fun part of the game, grinding onslaught, is first walled off by a mountain of boring grind. Yea this is a grind game, i wouldn't have it any other way. But the grind for shards and all the prep work to get ready to do onslaught (or the reset prep, gross) is a daunting, and a frankly boring task. especially If you carry your buddy thro the campaign thru c7, they don't get to understand how the game works and how to play, the trials and tribulations of expeditions (see what i did there?). AND then you have to tell them "hey, before we can have any fun, here is a list of shards and all the drop locations, go get them, it'll take about 400 hours and yes i know defense rate covers 3 pages, you need that many"   A lot of ppl simply go away at that point, a lot of ppl i've played with left very quickly upon learning how boring farming can be (and that was before gilding) Farming needs to be a fun and engaging experience to keep ppl farming and not just afking the whole game. 

    I fully agree and so does 90% of the community, no matter how small it is now. I only just came back 2 months ago and hadnt played in almost a year before that and all i see is the game is many times more grindy, with no incentive for it. All ive been doing is pushing onslaught, just for leaderboards, and im already burnt out. They need to realise there is no need for extra grind with no incentive. Its gotten to the point to where i dont think they even care to fix this game anymore. Since so few of us play, there isnt much profit to be made by them anymore. I believe that is why we are screwed. Elandrian is our only hope now.

    You'd be livid if a broken system was fixed, simply because you played it at its worst? Screw the rest of us eh? I'd look forward to February bringing huge changes to ap. Trendy has to make a big move to keep us around and this would be it, if they do it right. Aka no relic resets. Grind enough anyways just to push floors.

  3. Last stand chip hasnt worked since mods came out, for me at least, shackled doesnt either, grov a tov doesnt work on ev2 (least with meg manus). Im sure there are plenty of others not working properly. Maybe someday theyll address these issues. But probably not since bees not targeting behind them has been a huge problem since release and they have ignored it. I'd just ditch that mod if i was you. Elandrian got promoted so maybe he can stop the laziness of Lawllaziness and the crew.

    They need to remove gear from being reset with AP resets.

    I 100% agree. Prestiging is supposed to make you be stronger but the time and money that you have to put in, mainly because of gear/relic resets, isnt worth it to most people. I havent reset due to the insane commitment and how little you improve in the end. Once i find my cap in onslaught, ill be making c8 gear so no turning back. Hopefully they overhaul it very soon.

  5. Personally I think alot of these du costs are in a good place, except volcano. My big issue is some of these defenses just need a buff, and have for a very long time. Also several maps need more du such as ramparts seige and assault on the throne room. They open up more lanes but give the same DU space as their counterparts.

Avoiding getting too subjective and emotionally charged makes it easier for us to dissect the things that need to be looked at and really create effective change. It also prevents people from attacking one another, when this game should be about people coming together in one way or another, and enjoying the experience. It's something we're continuing to work towards. 

    We might not get it right the first time, or even the second time, but it's something we're committed to taking a swing at until we get there.

    Hella respect. Now if we can just remove that incursion from onslaught and fix dim returns, i think we can all get back to playing and paying you fine devs. Aint no shame in backtracking sometimes.

    Personally mine is okay in c7 but my mans are decked out so its harder to notice in lower tier gameplay. In higher onslaught you will now notice that after the patch from tuesday, WM no longer stun at all once dim hits max so bosses will walk through without even a 0.1 second stun here and there. Which that is what it would do before after max dim sets in, so now you have about 5-7 seconds before a boss is able to walk at normal pace through them without interruption, even though the animation is still showing them being electrocuted.

    There are a multitude of reasons. One is players have been asking for new enemies/minibosses/bosses for a very long time. Making it an incursion makes it a one and done event, and players were asking for more than that. Another is players wanted another map that was like Lost Temple, but wasn't Lost Temple (specifically Onslaught climb made that map not feel special/hard to encounter).

Players want engaging epic moments with cool rewards, and this is a step towards trying to provide more of them. 

    I would love it if you could share one example of someone asking for incursions in onslaught. Stating that you are working backwards is not a misguided opinion, it is a fact that is proven with the majority of your updates when charts show anywhere from 10-30% of the current playerbase leaving soon after your poor choices in an update. Sooner you realize this, sooner you can have a chance to make this game as good as it could be. None of you working there even push high onslaughts or play tons to know whats needed. You need to consult the top 5-10 players per gaming device and ask them to all give you a detailed description of what they would like to see changed and implemented . Give them 1 week. I guarantee their responses will be far better than what you all could come up with. Also there is no "cool rewards" from this new forced incursion. Just like there is no reason for anyone to push past 80 that you all continue to ignore, but thats a whole other topic in itself.

The main issue is, let me give an example i ran into, if the dragon freezes a frost lane that is already walking on your traps, eve if you put it out within a second you have lost.  Reason being only 1 second of them walking forward will put them on top off your mans, auras and fissures and since there are so many in frosty lanes, your defenses will be fully frozen. If you could magically have 10x the defense damage it doesnt matter when the horde has frozen them off. Thats an instant lose, no matter what you do. So if you get bad timing with the dragon and lane, its an immediate GG. 

  11. It is horrendous in onslaught. If he freezes a lane that has mobs already out, especially frosties, its an instant lose. The mechanic is too severe for high end onslaught and it needs to go. Onslaught above floor 80 already has 0 incentive to play besides leaderboard chasing and this map can easily halt your progress. Theres no reward to going through the hell of playing incursion in onslaught. I tried it at 189 and there is nothing you can do if mobs are in the lane during freeze. Its an instant lose. Tried helping a friend on 109 and we quit after 6 failed first waves. If you get an unlucky freeze at the wrong time, its just over. Being hyped about something in c7 that is a breeze just gives the devs false feedback. Go push floors and then youll see just how great it is. I was on my way to a solid 250 until this incursion dropped. This is a great way to make us leaderboard climbers quit...about the only loyal people holdng this game together. The dragon needs to go for onslaught, or take out modifiers on that map.

  12. The new drakenfrost keep with the dragon freezing defenses 3-4 times seems like it would be a good idea for incursion but it is just a nuisance when farming c7. Worse of all, it is horrendous for onslaught. It makes no sense that we already have to deal with modifiers and you throw this crazy idea where our defenses get frozen multiple times a round. I wasnt near hitting my max floor prior to this update but as soon as i hit 189 i called it quits. There already is no incentive to push beyond 80 other than to possibly get a defender pack and to get on the leaderboards. Making onslaught not just a chore, but an annoyance ever 10 levels is insanity. I want this map in onslaught but just take the stupid dragon out.  Id rather play 5 temples than play an incursion in onslaught. Or turn off modifiers and keep it as an incursion. Not both. I will not be playing onslaught anymore due to this so i guess thats it for me. No point in farming mods to play c7...

    It's enough that we have to do so much grinding but to see all that farming go down the tubes in the next update doesn't keep me wanting more. As I said constant tweaking and the diminishing returns is eroding my own enjoyment of the game and the motivation to continue playing.

    I 100% agree. I cant even c8 my gear because they are constantly nerfing defenses in a pve game, just so they dont have to buff a bunch of other defenses. It's lazy work and the now only 1,000 player base shows we are fed up with it.

  14. With this last patch, mobs and bosses no longer get a small stun after dim returns is maxed out. Im counting 5 seconds in solo play before they walk normal straight out of my defenses. Before this last update I climbed from 161-183 Sunday with no signs of stopping and I just tried 184 and it was a crap fest. Finally got through but only have ditching WM and putting cannons everywhere to power through the 6th wave. There is absolutely zero skill or strategy now with this idiotic dim returns policy. All it is is stack the most dps you can. Dim retturns was only created because wm are so much better than alot of defenses and have cc. Why take this lazy approach? You all should be focusing on buffing all towers that need it and slap some cc on towers. Bring them up to par of the old WM and hornets. This is a pve tower defense game. We are supposed to feel strong  and have a sense of progression. This isnt a pvp game where you nerf everything into the dirt. All your doing is losing more and more people because you think your opinions are greater than ours. Pay attention to when bulks of players quit. Its updates like this. If you left dim out, this update would of been huge for you all at trendy. I just came back last month and was enjoying myself but this is too much. Im that guy who doesnt do forums because i rely on others to speak up but when i seen how few people actually post on here, i had to make an account. I hope you all realise before its too late that in pve games, you dont nerf the most used items. You bring everything else to become great.. Im sitting on 11 c8 amps and still havent taken anything to c8 because my most used builds get nerfed into oblivion and im not blowing 90ish mil just to have a setup destroyed. It's like trendy doesnt even care about making money at this point.
