  1. I have to disagree, adding shark to a teriyaki based marinade is something that should be fervently avoided.
  2. I believe that the requires level to use a CVII trinket is 30. In your picture the player is level 46 which fulfills that requirement. Also, If someone were to hack then their tower would have much better stats then the tower in the following image.... And if you are wondering how it is possible to get stat similar to the above image, you might need to farm a trinket with stats similar to the one displayed below; I should probably mention that the trinket was relocated to my dryad in order to provide a more comparable example (never put tenacity on hornets).
  3. I would also note that the "Chaos IV Shard Pack" option appears to be highlighted, which could possibly indicate that you have the option to purchase 5 random shards or one specific shard. Another thing to note is that the window displaying the shards is titled "Available Items", which makes me think that every shard displayed can be purchased. Also, I believe that they said, on a stream, that CVIII shards will be purchasable but that the CVIII shards wont be available for purchase when the system is initially implemented.
  4. the game is free to play, if you support the game and like the cosmetics buy your own chest. I enjoy the devs gifts to play more but do not expect a cheese on your breakfast tray. The tone of my post made it clear that I was making a joke...... Also, the game is for everyone and the amount of support that players provide is irrelevant. That point is especially true when the devs are kind enough to give us a fun holiday event such as the non-existent tree that provides non-existent presents that include an item that players can get from just playing onslaught.
  5. Tree, what tree? There is clearly no holiday tree giving out free chests beyond the holiday that it was implemented in. None of us have been receiving free onslaught chests for weeks. I sure haven't been logging in every day to pick one up. Lets all just forget about that obviously misinformed part of this thread. Let Trendy focus on important things that have nothing to do with removing the clearly non-existent tree (^_-) handing out the clearly non-existent onslaught chests (^_-).
  6. It would be nice if we could get an option that lets the game repeatedly re-roll until we get an upgrade and just keep the upgrade. Clicking 2x270+ times for every 10/10 really wears down my mouse...
  7. It depends on what its going to be used for. If you want to use it for pushing onslaught, and you use a tower that benefits from it, then you place it in that tower. If you want to farm Drakenfrost and ignore the annoying Incursion mechanics, then place it in a tower you use for that. In other words, it really depends on what towers you use and what your goal is when playing.
  8. I haven't had this happen to me more then once, but the suicide command (CTRL+L on PC) resolved the problem when it occurred. I don't know what the command is on console though.
  9. do i have to reroll a mod 285 times at once? What if i reroll 50 times and logout, login and reroll on the same mod, does it count? It doesn't need to be at one time, I was doing it in groups of about 40 tokens at a time and I definitely logged out multiple times before I finished re-rolling. But, I was re-rolling a single mod at a time (so, I don't know if re-rolling multiple mods at once has an effect or not).
  10. I managed to re-roll two Tenacity from 1/10 into 10/10 and it took about 250-300 rolls each, so I'm sure that that 280 something number should be relatively accurate. Also, I can't confirm whether this happens every time or not, but Tenacity rolled to 8 and 9 before tey rolled to 10 (so that might be an indicator that you are close to a pity 10 roll).
  11. They moved the version of the map with the secret switches to adventure mode. So, you need to play the map in adventure mode to find them and get the flair.

  13. The solution is simple; grind out a perfect tenacity (except for that that single automation that everyone has) for every tower that you want to use on the map. I'm sure that every single player really wants to spend all that time grinding out multiple copies of a single mod just to bypass a mechanic on one map that repeats over and over and over again in onslaught. Fun.

Here are some ideas that could get me to play incursions more.... - Increase the difficulty to at least CVII and give us the option to raise the difficulty up to our highest onslaught level completed (don't block low geared player from joining, just scale up gear similar to mastery's down scaling)- Add a gold bonus reward for winning, add a multiplayer bonus gold reward (re-roll removed bonus) - Add re-roll rewards to each map, scale the amount rewarded with difficulty level and number of players (re-roll removes bonus) - Add some type of currency that we can spend at an incursion vendor for specific rewards; 1) Incursion specific Flair 2) Titles (how many people forgot that they are in the game?) 3) Achievements (why not overhaul the achievements so it can be something to work for late game?) - I'm sure that the community would be willing to give great, challenging, and fun achievement ideas 4) Specific shards (via an incursion specific vendor) 4) Upgrade materials and/or re-roll items (via an incursion specific vendor) 5) Ways to modify the ascension icon to make ti more unique (different boarders?) 6) Special effect modifiers (like flair) that specifically modify weapons and equipment 7) Skip an onslaught level tokens (via an incursion specific vendor [and with a limit on use/run]) - This would make onslaught a LOT more appealing to me and I would definitely play incursions for it 8) Incursion specific pets [assuming that they get an update at some point] (via an incursion specific vendor) Some explanation of the above list; First of all, incursions NEED to be more difficult if they are going to be something more than a play once and done mode. If how difficult they can get could be tied to onslaught progression then we have a reward for pushing onslaught in the form of harder incursions and potential for better rewards from incursions. Also, if the reward for playing incursions is provided via an in-game currency then a vendor could be created to allow for players to avoid more RNG in obtaining our rewards. Therefore players wont be compounding another RNG grind on top of the current system. It would allow players to work towards the rewards that they want (for me, that would be an incentive to play incursions, or any game mode, more). Also, the above list is not a "this must be included" list, its just a brainstorm of potential ways that incursions could be made more rewarding and/or more fun to play.
  15. What you are explaining is effectively how Incursions were originally introduced, though limited to the ends game that existed at the time. They use to be at the highest difficulty and were the only place to farm the highest ipower gear (when ipower still existed). I know that I would play them a gain *outside of the weekly quest) if the devs decided to make them function similar to how they use to.
  16. Does that mean that the game is going to go farther in this direction, because whether it does or not is something that I will. personally, take into account before sinking more time into it and it would be nice to have some clarification.
  17. Drakenfrost started as a great patch, but took several wrong turns that made it crash and burn. Lets look at what happened below; Drakenfrost is released 1) We get a new map, Drakenfrost Keep = GOOD 2) We get a holliday event = GOOD 3) We get the initial implementation of expanding on elemental combos = GOOD (but temporary pain) 4) We get the ability to re-roll mods = GOOD 5) We get an inventory sorting filter = OK 6) We get more space in the material vault = VERY GOOD 7) we get an initial implementation of communities = GOOD (for some players) Patch 4.3 is released 1) Drakenfrost keep is turned into some sort of pseudo-incursion level = VERY BAD - If it was given an incursion then it would be GOOD, but that didn't happen - Its no longer viable as a map to farm re-roll items (or even play casually) 2) New version of Drakenfrost Keep is appears every 10 onslaught levels = VERY BAD - I have to ask, did the Devs even consider how this will affect solo players? 3) We have to play adventure mode in order to get the Drakenrost flair = BAD - I haven't confirmed this personally, but I have seen people talk about it 4) Communities was fully implemented (on pc?) = GOOD (for some players) From my perspective, we were initially given a great update with nothing permanent to complain about. But for some unexplained reason, the Devs decided to alter a well implemented system and change it into something terrible. In other words, we took two steps forward and three steps backward with the Drakenfrost update(s).
  18. its not that you instantly lose, its that you have to kyte it into your towers fora really really really long time, if you ant ignite it. Better to have burning strikes on a hero though.
  19. Exactly, this change just makes onslaught annoying (and likely impossible for some) for solo players. The freeze mechanic makes the new map completely worthless for farming the new re-roll items. What was the point in even giving us a new map with things to farm if it was going to be made worthless as a farming map? In any event, I'll echo the sentiments of some prior posts and say that I have no plans on ever setting foot on Drakenfrost Keep as long as that freeze mechanic exists ( that includes no longer progressing in onslaught).
  20. I completely disagree with both of your points for the following reasons; First of all, your statement about "All other naturally damaging defenses that don't have an element" is incorrect. Specifically, the oil geyser naturally does damage and does not have an elemental affinity and it an not be affected by an elemental servo. At the same time, it qualifies as a tap as I explained above. Second, since the Oil geyser functions exactly the same as explosive traps, with regard to not being able to use an elemental servo, it is more likely that not allowing explosive traps to use elemental servos was intended and not a bug (since the design choice was made with two towers that function similarly and that could be exploited int he same was before DR was a thing).
