About The Pink Raccoon

  1. I absolutely understand why people feel the way they do about this, and I share the same sentiment in that "what's the point in having a stat if its hard capped". I guess you could say I'm just trying to look at the positive side of it. For me, it's not a deal breaker if the attack rate is hard capped. Defense rate has always been a weird stat; when you get to a certain point there's just an insane amount of diminishing returns, where you need like 1000 more defense rate to take the attack rate from 0.11 to 0.10. The way I'm looking at it is "well at least now it's always consistently use
  2. I just wanted to take a moment to talk about the PTR, because I feel like DDA is in its best state right now. We've finally got some extra heros in the mix, and whilst I've not played with them all that much, the Rogue looks quite fun, and the Warden brings some new towers to play with. The Warden's Sludge Launcher is probably her best defense so far, with it being a tower that I've found quite a bit of use out of. I'm happy there's more choice of hero to play now, with some of the base heros feeling more defined now with the stat changes. I've been playing mostly Squire so far and he fee
  3. I'm absolutely in the same camp as you and I agree with pretty much everything you've said in this post. I've made a few posts about balance over the course of a couple years so I feel as strongly about this as you do. I find when a game is reduced to 'meta only' it becomes quite boring, and quite frustrating that I'm unable to experiment with different builds or setups without being massively penalised. However when it comes to balance I can normally think of at least a couple ideas that could possibly help. They might not be the best ideas in the world, and we all have biases and perso
  4. I agree 100% with the shard bit, I made a post a short while back saying a similar thing actually.
  5. Those 2 things are Buffs and Variation, which kind of find themselves intertwined. How many people play Squire? Or Huntress, or even Apprentice? or Lavamancer, or either of the two genderswapped heros?? No I reckon many people likely have these heros sitting around in their decks somewhere probably naked with some boots on just for the Speed Boost shard. The point I'm trying to make here is that there's not really much point in playing any hero other than the Monk and probably the Barbarian (considering the new OP mod setup he has nowadays) because you're sacrificing too much. I enjoyed playin
  6. I'm down for Vicious Strikes to get a buff.
  7. As far as I'm aware, two of the least used towers in the game. Don't provide enough Oomph for their DU cost. They wouldn't be so bad if they functioned similarly to the DD1 EV Buff Beam: That being if it provided range, speed and resistance as well as damage. (I'm aware the Boost Aura provides resistance). I would love to use them more frequently, but I just can't warrant spending 40 DU when I could just place a Flame Aura or another Hornet's Nest and get loads more value. Not sure how the community feels about this.
