Can we actually have several gem mines active the same time?

    Nope.

That actually isn't true, when you first introduced the gem mines I bought the 1st one late and the 2nd one as soon as I could and had 2 running at the same time. When I logged in I would get 2 popups with 2 seperate timers and 2 lots of gems. Unless you guys have changed something since then you can actually have 2 at once.

Edit: it was only a few days of overlap but the purchase dates were as follows :-

Etherian Gem Mine                 - Date issued: 7 Oct, 2018 3:42pm BST
Autumn Etherian Gem Mine - Date issued: 2 Nov, 2018 12:06pm GMT

When stated, this was initially true and was what we had set. However, we had it changed shortly after on our backend. Going to lock the thread as it's older.

  4. Greetings Defenders,

Hotfix 4.3.2 is now out on Steam, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One! We were able to snipe in some important back-end fixes, as well as sneak in some bug fixes. Let’s get into it!

    Bug Fixes

    • Fixed mini-map occasionally not displaying on Dead Road, Temple of Necrotic, Forest Biome, and Liferoot Forest.

    • Fixed an issue on Steam and Xbox, where replaying from wave on Drakenfrost would not award Frost weapons. This was already working correctly on PS4.

    • Fixed an issue with main menu music playing over the intro video on PS4.

    • Fixed an issue with some SFX on PS4.

    • Made multiple back-end changes for issue tracking and slight connection improvements.

  5. We had to look into this, it is most definitely supposed to be there, and it is most definitely not right now. We're going to look into getting this taken care of with our next patch. We implemented a lot of new functionality with our social menu changes, and we believe this is what changed it. Never fear, we're on the job.

  6. Just to keep things civil here:

Paying players and free players feedback is equal in our eyes. Their experience may be different if they don't spend money, and it's good to get that perspective, it let's us continuously evolve the game to be as inclusive as possible. While we are also a business, and financials are important, we're game devs who really want to make insanely cool things so that we and our players can have fun.

The most important thing to walk away from is providing constructive feedback. "I did not like this feature because of X, Y, and Z" is a great way to handle that. What we have increasingly been doing a better job of is promoting that type of interaction, because it shows respect when presenting feedback. If we ever came on the forums and said "too bad, get rekt kid, Y O U SU C K, pay us", we'd completely understand negative/condescending behavior, as we set the tone, but (as far as I'm aware) we have done nothing but tried to make sure there is a bridge of respect able to be taken. Avoiding getting too subjective and emotionally charged makes it easier for us to dissect the things that need to be looked at and really create effective change. It also prevents people from attacking one another, when this game should be about people coming together in one way or another, and enjoying the experience. It's something we're continuing to work towards.

We might not get it right the first time, or even the second time, but it's something we're committed to taking a swing at until we get there.

  7. Greetings Defenders,

Hotfix 4.3.1 is now out on Steam and PlayStation 4, with Xbox receiving it later this afternoon. We were able to snipe in some important back-end fixes, as well as sneak in some bug fixes. Let’s get into it!

    Bug Fixes

    • Fixed a major issue with PlayStation 4 users crashing due to memory problems.

    • Fixed an issue with fire damage from buffs not affecting torches on Drakenfrost Keep for some players.

But for some unexplained reason, the Devs decided to alter a well implemented system and change it into something terrible.
In other words, we took two steps forward and three steps backward with the Drakenfrost update(s).

There are a multitude of reasons. One is players have been asking for new enemies/minibosses/bosses for a very long time. Making it an incursion makes it a one and done event, and players were asking for more than that. Another is players wanted another map that was like Lost Temple, but wasn't Lost Temple (specifically Onslaught climb made that map not feel special/hard to encounter).

The list could go on, but we have countless feedback that supported making these decisions (on top of our internal design direction). It's also been out for one day. Things can be tweaked, changed, and made to feel better if they overall don't feel great, which is not what we're seeing currently. Stating that we're factually  working backwards is misguided, as it's a personal opinion, and that's fine, but it's not something we're seeing on the large scale. Players want engaging epic moments with cool rewards, and this is a step towards trying to provide more of them.

Couple of good points made here. Also remember that you can buy the reroll material from others, which can get you that 10/10 quicker.

don’t think anyone would sell their materials since they are probably rerolling their shards as well since the rates are so low in getting a mod level that is better than the one being rolled.

I'm on the other side of the fence, where I would potentially capitalize on the market of players wanting it, and start selling them off in bulk for a premium price because of how new they are. Then when the prices got lower over time, use all the gold that I had accrued to buy as many as I needed from the players who rushed and got all their mods. (That's just how I play games myself)

However, we don't have to worry about guessing and thinking. We are able to track in-game sales on these items, and we know for a fact that there are a TON of these materials being sold. We expected these items being sold at a much lower rate initially, but they surpassed our expectations. That's the fun with player economies, they'll almost always catch you by surprise.
