  1. I don't know it's bug or not, but I saw Juicebag's video, then he did reset, pet reset to lvl 1, but stats left max... Mb it's Trendy's idea and we can stack stats after reset, but probably it's bug :) they do not give buffs out without mentioning them :P 99% sure its a bug, but it would be a nice way to approach pet scaling, but even with that they need a 1000% damage buff to be even noticed.
  2. pets are just for their abilities, dragolitch, roller 1 shotters, and poisonous tips for HD dps. There are some other fun ones like reflect damage, stun, heal etc but mostly not needed in end game. I personally only ever use a 1 shot for rollers, everything else I AFK against, I think their abilities will be relevant again in higher Onslaught levels, but the stats are to low to have any effect just like their dps. they might actually be handy (stat wise) after Ancient power "ascension", but trendy saw fit to revert pets to level 1 ... which is just overkill, I say don't touch pets on prestigeing.
  3. As said above, its 1, 2 then 3 maps all the way up to 60 ish. Above that its all 3 maps, 2 random ish and the third is the new map every time as third. oh jesus the same map as the 3rd on every level past 60... yeah im out already. I got sick of farming incursions back in NM4 days due to the repetition of some maps, sick of the tiny trial map pools... sick of mastery (though that was a grind due to the obnoxious heroes required and some utterly irritating achievements when you didn't use all heroes/defenses) so guaranteed same map even if it mutates every 3rd map is not something I would enjoy at all. Sad to say that I dont think DD2 is for me anymore, really disliked being forced to play all heroes with annoying achievements in mastery (I quit i think in M4), and now Ancient power seems pointless as the buffs it provides are tiny while all it really does is reset your game and get you spending gold/medals. Onslaught seems fun until you make a mistake and have to repeat a bunch of maps... and now you play the SAME map over and over post 60.... Anyway I am sounding bitter and I really don't mean to be, its just sad as the game is changing a lot but sadly slowly but surely away from something I would enjoy. With that said I think the game needed to evolve or I would have quit the old version and trials was a massive improvement over NM4, but now it feels very forced and grindy. "play these heroes or lose, build all the correct counters or lose, complete all these challenges or lose, grind and grind or get nothing." Ramble over, if any dev reads this, sorry and I hope it gives some useful feedback.
  4. that would obviously be to simple and fast... for an infinitely scaling system XD Honestly I would have liked just 1 map per level, maybe with a few extra waves to make the building/upgrading a little different though thats not that important as building is already a bit different due to the lane buffs.
  5. shots fired! into feet by trendy XD sorry that was mean, but its crazy that the one thing I was seriously concerned about (ancient power) so drastically failed. Lets hope the fact players can no longer use a single build doesn't back fire also (that was something I massively hated with mastery). I have only done a couple of floors on Onslaught due to lack of time, but I liked it until I screwed up on my second map and was forced to start the floor again. I think this patch has made some big and brave steps forward into the unknown and its only natural that trendy might have walked off a couple of cliffs and trod on a few landmines in the process. Nevertheless, the game keeps evolving which is good.
  6. After losing a map, restart map not floor. Nothing makes me click that X in the top right hand corner faster then failing a map and having to replay 2-3 maps due to a silly mistake, I mean pressing G twice by accident (which I have done many times in trials) would be an F'ing disaster. No one cares about this making the game "easier" at this point, and if they do they don't understand what game difficulty actually is^^ I think this would be a welcome change due to it reducing frustration, reducing punishment grinding while only reducing (and I hate this term) "artificial difficulty" slightly. I doubt anyone would have a problem with this change... But maybe im wrong? Discuss
  7. The PS4 leader board title roman numerals are wrong, you have written 4 rather then 6. (IV rather then VI).
  8. why Hey sorry, im no longer perma logged in the forums and no longer visit that often. Basically the game is objectively getting better, more in depth and complex (so I never felt the need to voice my concerns) but sadly its heading in the wrong direction for me personally. With mastery the challenges introduced came at a time where I simply could no longer commit as much time and effort to dd2 as I could in the past, and in addition to this they felt very forced. What I mean by this is; challenges were all about having all the heroes with at least relics and shards, using all tower types and playing exactly the way trendy wanted you to. This is in stark contrast to what I enjoyed while I played, which was create a somewhat unique build and attempt to beat all content with that build. I remember the first time i beat Bastille, unholy catacombs etc with my frosty lightning aura build (which was completely underpowered back in NM4 days) and it felt great! (Though with that said, it was a much worse game overall and the balance was awful, so I would have todays version (pre mastery) any day.) Now the idea of a unique build on all maps is literally impossible with how mastery works. Looking ahead, it seems that onslaught might also be a case of using way more heroes then now due to the random lanes, so until i know more I might not be playing that either. But maybe if i can make a build with just squire, monk and apprentice I would consider it however.... the ancient power is something I do not like the sound of, as I am not interested in grinding thousands of ascension levels and gear to then delete for ancient power. But I need to know more about that before I make any real decision on it. Anyway I have not fully explained myself here, but hope it somewhat answers your question, basically just not feeling mastery or onslaught from the little info we have of it thus far. Sad for me yes, but the game is better and everyone else seems to be loving it, so maybe it just time for me to find another game or wait and see with onslaught.
  9. since im no longer playing, just wondered what the achievements were for this map?
  10. I mean, the most accurate one would be where you look at the numbers and just write down the regular damage, crit damage, and damage from other sources (e.g., thunderstruck) and damage when those crit, write down how often each regular attack goes off, crit chance, and then just do the computation yourself for damage per second. sure, but the point I was simply making is don't test for 30 seconds it will never be accurate or even close to accurate. The best you could get from a 30s test is maybe a broad indication, but even that could be way off if you get a string of crits or non crits seemingly completely invalidating any hypothesis you were formulating, only to realize the test was invalid rather then your hypothesis to begin with. I found 500~ seconds was always a pretty solid amount of time to test with DD2, though I would on occasion with minor upgrades/changes use much longer tests as I needed more accuracy. I also think trying to do the maths and writing down all the stats/formula is kinda a waste of time when you can get very accurate results with a cup on your mouse button while you are afk^^
  11. Ah well, thanks for looking into it! Don't believe any test that is done over 30 seconds. if you want anything close to realistic results use no pet abilities or any abilities for that matter and just auto attack for at least 600 seconds ideally 1000. Then check the results. With that said, when a shard is utter trash it will be pretty obvious within the first 30 seconds but I would never rely on such results as that could be massively impacted by crit chance given how powerful crit damage is and how low crit chance is in this game. A string of lucky crits will have a huge impact over 30 seconds, but not 1000. Actually, I think a series of shorter tests give a more nuanced picture, and resembles situations encountered ingame more. Nobody will ever find themselves in a situation that calls for them to autoattack for 16 minutes... Yes crits can make each test result vary, but so can the choice of weapon (aoe, speed etc.). That´s why I make several short tests, to get a general idea of what the weapon and slotted shards does. its not about creating a picture of what its like to actually dps bosses, its about illuminating crit RNG and giving a more valid picture of normalized dps. A longer test is better in almost every case, and every case I can think of. Now doing 500 30s tests is good as you would then take the average of each of those 30 second tests. But its all about trying to eliminate random variables from proc's or crits. Anything regular however is fine, like character self buffs (monk etc), its just easier to do a long test without having to keep that buff up perfectly on 2 back to back 1000s tests :D An alternative would be to somehow remove all crit chance and proc chance variation, but that is not possible as far as I know in DD2. Then a 10s test would be just as valid as a 10000s test.

  13. LOL This was the only shard that could have been great. I am not regretting taking a break at all now :D
  14. does it stack with the old 40% lightning damage?
  15. Sadly I got bored of Mastery mid M4, will we see some content made available for those of us that don't enjoy it? or those of us who no longer enjoy the very rigid choices involved in mastery (tower/hero choices etc). I just cant will myself to login anymore, now granted I basically stopped playing C7 before mastery was launched as that was done to death, but I did not expect myself disliking mastery this much. Being forced to play heroes I dislike or building 1 of each tower... building 10 types of towers... is just not the game I loved. I loved a game where I could play my specific build over and over, and on occasion branch out to other builds, now mastery was refreshing in M1 but then M2,3,4,5,6,7 is just the same thing over and over and over... and its not the type of thing I enjoy repeating. Yes there are some things I hate, but in general its more a case of "ugh i cant be bothered" rather then utterly detesting it. How the hell are any of us that don't enjoy it going to get through the remaining masteries? seriously I cant see myself even finishing M4 at this rate. Also the carrot on the stick is shards that are really not impressive at all. Anyway I have been putting this off for a while now, as I don't want to sound negative and provide no real useful criticisms... but what can I say its just not doing it for me. I just hope I am a minority. When will we get other content/onslaught/endless?Will you buff the hyper shards? Will we be forced to grind 600-700 points to obtain those better hyper shards if we want to stand a chance at future harder content?Just let me buy them for 10k+ medals each LOL
  16. My hype is low. I think mastery is a fun thing for many players, but sadly its not for me. The multi builder stuff is not my cup of tea and neither is spending more time in my inventory then in combat. I think will wait for new content, enjoy mastery guys and your "slightly better then standard shards", hopefully the thunderstruck will be super strong and fun.
  17. Someone reads my posts! :) Mastery V-VII (or IIV for those who appreciate our concept art for crowns) will have ascension levels included with them. I know this might seem like I am trolling, but this is a genuine question. Does that mean you will add X ascension points (assuming you have the equivalent or more on your heroes) per Mastery from V through to VII, or does it mean we will get all our ascension points back just like it currently is on trials? I hope my question makes enough sense to be understood... its hard to be clear with a toddler on ones lap.
  18. I would say attempts wise, it took me the most, but half of the attempts were me just reseting or screwing up the first few seconds. once I had my first build phase down, i failed i think once or twice on my second build phase and failed at the end of wave 5 due to ignoring a shield goede boss that was somehow causing my blockade to destroy itself extremely quickly. Never knew that could even happen. Anyway then it was pretty easy with low RNG unlike the first map. However I only had 1 blockade (volcano) on that map, so thats probably why the RNG factor made it so infuriating and unenjoyable.
  19. Thanks for the answer, apparently this card can not be soloed It can be soloed. I did, and others too I´m sure. If you compare that aids of an experience (first map M4) with M1-3 maps, its a lot harder to solo. Maybe there is something I am missing but jesus christ it was an annoying experience completing that map. Though I disagree with how the OP stated his point, it is frustrating that one would make the very first map have such an awful combo of achevements, no walls, no more then 1 of each tower, no walls. I mean come on! Sure if you do it in a group its a toddle, and maybe there is something i missed, but yeah its not comparable with M1-3 maps in my experience. There is no "first map" in mastery mode. You can choose them all from the get go. Which I know you know. So it's weird seeing that statement from you. If it's too hard for certain people. open the game to public. The game shouldn't be balanced around solo play. As proven by SimonB, solo is faster than playing in a team. If you are good, prepared and a bad ass yeah ofc there is no technical first map in mastery (I have even suggested others play them out of order), but one would expect some level of continuity when playing through the maps... begin with the first map which is: the one at the top of the list, the one automatically selected for you, the one that begins the campaign etc etc. These are the small mistakes and oversights trendy makes, which means the player gets a rather disjointed clunky experience. Maps should have had some level of consideration, and yes I think maps should be possible on solo, in ALL CASES. unless its specifically expressed as a "group map" or a "requires minimum of 2 players" etc. This is very different to "balancing around solo play", they can be harder on solo, but not to the point of this "first map" in M4. Its just silly, how that map took me probably almost 10 attempts (3~ where my own fault by forgetting upgrades/wrong deck heroes etc) with the second map being an AFK fest with only a bit of shooting at bosses/berserkers in later rounds and obviously a 1shot. Anyway, my point is less about technicalities and more about player experiences, and I think its something trendy need to hear.
  20. Thanks for the answer, apparently this card can not be soloed It can be soloed. I did, and others too I´m sure. 21. I think it´s for a weapon slot. One possibility could be: Primary attacks creates a lightning that strikes a foe for 500% hero dmg every 3 secs. hmm maybe burning+lightning shards combined.
  22. 470 Stars: Thunderstruck I want to know what this one is...
  23. So the major problem with this suggestion is that you now make incursions mandatory end game grind. Assuming you could play any map in the game it would not be to bad, but now trials and every other mode is irrelevant as they simply don't offer these ultra rare drops. So Trials would be gone straight away. For the min-max'ers it would be worse, as some maps are easier then others, some faster to build then others and some with more monsters per wave (better build time to monster quantity per map ratio), assuming of course that all monsters had a chance to drop these ultra rare items. This however would become a problem in almost every case where you are not forced to play a set map, which is why i think they should have some weekly map buffs a bit like the daily quests, where some maps each week are highlighted and give slightly better rewards. Maybe more gold/medals or a chance to spawn rare bosses that give better loot (always drop 2-3 legendaries for example). I think they need to make just 1 game mode for end game, call it incursions, onslaught whatever.. but it should reward end game type items/xp/shards etc, it should trump all other modes but only obtainable after completing everything else. I just cant see how you could balance this mode with trials, one has to always be better then the other.
  24. what like repairing a blockade in wave 5 when combat is about to end... yes repairing it simply because you like to see 100% "durability" on your blockades even if its the very end of a match. I just clicked the X in the top right hand corner after that blunder and went and played some overwatch. There should be an achievement where you have to write "dungeon defenders 2 requires skill" in each build phase, if you forget it once, it auto uninstalls your game and downloads some ransomware with the simple demand of uploading a video of yourself being kicked square in the nuts.
  25. I save about 50% of my shards on random relics on random "mule" heroes. Dryads can store the most builder shards due to 5 relic slots.
