  1. they are dreadful, but playing with a builder monk, my only option^^ Some maps I simply dont use any anti air and bate kobolds to suicide on frosty towers. First map in the game (forgot its name) on incursion NM4 my setup is a monk damage builder with SA's LA's etc then Frosty towers for kobolds to suicide into, and manually shoot the non kobold flying units with Squire flamethrower (no ranged dpser), and a squire waller. I simply rebuild the cheap Frosty towers when they get destroyed. I tried building 3x Skyboards leveled them to max level after wave 2, and they still could not handle the k
  2. Forgive me if this has already been discussed but I did not read the full thread. How is this a defense for a 4 card deck? 1, everyone only brings 1 dps to a fight (1 card) 2, everyone builds with whatever cards they have, this could easily be over 4 cards. 3, if a tower does break, its normally gg solo and in multiplayer it doesn't really matter. Nevertheless if a tower breaks that has to be rebuilt, its 9 times out of 10 a wall. so a waller is needed in a deck. so we have 2 cards dps + waller that are mandatory for quick switching during combat, the rest are irrelevant.   3. Here is how to farm gold: Free play - Hard - Dragonfall Bazaar Build directly around the Core. Monk Anti air (this is key as you do not want to kill ground monsters. Squire walls with spikes facing inwards towards the core. You can use the explosive Uber sphere as for some reason it is classed as Hero damage. Play with a hero that has full 15% quad gold drop gear and unequip pet.   4. That moment when 1 mob gets past your wall that has never failed in the 10+ times you have completed that map on wave 6/7 or 7/7 and 1-3 shots your core before you can run back to kill it. Now lets be clear, this is generally not a big issue, as most maps are pretty open with the defense play taking place normally close too ones walls, however some maps (Catacombs) are not so forgiving. I don't really want to get into a silly internet quotation war, as its just so time consuming and pointless. It also feels like playing directly into your hands as you appear to be very keen on such activities. Criticism towards overly powerful new heroes is justified.   7. Its kind of a psychological thing, as well as a game play issue. Psychologically, you do not feel like you have to "rebuild/relevel" you characters to their former glory if you simply add a NM5 or give the existing NM difficulties an ipwr boost + monsters damage/health boost. Game play is always a lot more fun with a character you have built, as it does exactly what one designed it for, while starting from zero one has the generic gear and you has to invest a lot of time before the characters start to be playable like the original character that was wiped. My Boost aura (rank1) increases my lightning aura (rank 1) by 379 dps, while my squire cannon gains 1369 dps. my boost aura/LA monk has 4345 Defense power, 28.3% defense crit, 6387.5 defense crit damage and 350 speed, while my squire only has 4244 defense power, 30% defense crit, 6765.5 defense crit damage and 350 speed. Balance is here! I do not feel like I need to spend $$$ to play on the same level as everyone else.
  11. Thats great news, but when the dev team is churning out new heroes that are normally purchased, its hard to see where your incentive is to actually improve the original free heroes. This might seem a bit conspiratorial, but one has to think when the new heroes (that people purchase) have towers that are approximately 3 times as powerful mana for mana. I feel it undermines your authenticity at the very least. But I am happy to wait on a strategic revamp if it will implement content that is challenging again, but it would be nice to know that heroes will be for the most part balanced, rather th
  12. It appeared the dev's are pushing back their "balance" or strategic revamp patch yet again in favour of selling us *Cough* i mean bring us new heroes. How do you guys feel about this? Do you just want to buy the latest fun Hero or do you want to see an improvement to all existing heroes and possibly content that is challenging regardless of hero deck you make.
  13. I don't see that as an argument against it, but rather an argument for it. Preset or saved defenses would only be created by the player of that account. I only ever use the town square if the "join multiplayer game" bugs in the private tavern or when its carnival and I need to use the wheel. :) I know its a cop-out answer, but it works and frankly coming from someone who enjoys the building aspect of this game, solo play is so much more fun as you can control all the green mana usage.
  17. Bump sort this please. onslaught NM4, 1.6 hours played and only at wave 7 due to bad luck with horde. I love the idea of horde, but it is just unacceptable when it takes 30+ mins per wave. Why in gods name is only one lane active at a time... how is that horde? ALL lanes should be active with a constant flow of goblins. Edit: 2 hours later, I have just finished wave 11 due to another 2-3 horde waves.....
  18. IMHO the solution can simply be; reduce each wave by 100~ all lanes are flooded at once all horde waves gain 30% movement speed.
  19. Sky Guard is terrible in my experience. Take NM4 solo incursion map1. I attempted to have the only anti air units being Sky Guard towers, however they were constantly destroyed by combold flyers. So I maxed them out 3 Sky Guards inside a boost aura, and even then they were unsuccessful at defending vs Combolds and simply got destroyed. My solution on that map until my dps hero was better geared was simply to build a mass of frosty towers split them up enough and have them as cannon fodder, rebuilding them each round. This allowed me to succeed, while actually having Air Defense was a guaran
  20. Currently the most interesting Squire relic is the one that adds Ballista speed, however this only appears on Waller relics. Some suggestions: The same as what can roll on weapons but rather then a % of defense health, it uses defense power. So in other words: Ballista projectiles explode on impact for XX% of defense power as damage around it.Ballista speed increased by XX can now roll on defense power relics.
  21. Now we have seen the back of resistance lanes, it would be great to be able to save difference defensive setups. In other words, once I have set up my towers, walls, traps etc, I would have the option to "save this setup". If I revisit the same map, I would have the option to "apply save" and all towers would be built, assuming I had the mana (difficulty/mode dependent). I am sure this is not a very easy thing to implement, but it would massively improve the quality of life of playing the game.

  23. what the hell 71 waves in only 6 hours oO What map was it on? I have been doing liferoot, and the longest I played NM4 was about 14 hours and got to wave 35 only. I started at mid day, played till 2am, however I was afk most of the time, coming back just to check and stop my char logging out. If I was not afk, I gues I could have maybe got to wave 45 or so. I was also playing Solo if that makes any difference. Do you build your defenses right at the lane entrances to increase wave speed by removing the travel time of the monsters? or was it on a map with shorter lanes?
  24. why do you keep remaking posts regarding your wish to nerf this pet? I would like to see other pets having impactful abilities, Dragolich has exactly that. It matters when you use its ability and that makes for a more fun experience. Having a pet with an ability that makes zero difference is pointless, and that is most pets. Good pets are the one that increases speed as its massively impactful on catacombs, and the other is dragolich (that I know of) as using it correctly can give you an edge on a map you previously were unable to beat, while using it poorly can result in failing that map.
