Any tips for the build on nm3 throne room? (playing solo but have all chars - walls 240k, traps 1.8k, 70% ish frosty increase using some old low ipwr app stuff).  I can't seem to figure out a good setup. Thanks in advance!

1 Wall + 4-5 traps for each of the top lanes, couple of frosties behind the walls. Double wall off each lane down the bottom where the individual lanes meet up at the throne. Couple of AA's in the middle of the map, purge serenities in each lane if you have them.

You can get away without any ranged DPS and no AA? What if one gets through the frosties? Aren't you pretty much toast in that situation? Trying to dispatch a wyvern at your crystal with a Squire waller just doesn't cut it.

If you have extra slow on frosties it's rare they'll make it even half way down a lane, especially on LifeRoot where they seem to take damage from the traps too.

I've failed a couple of times due to flying kobolds going straight for the eggs on LR but it's honestly a rare occurrence. So rare that I've failed more times due to regular kobolds running through walls and into the eggs.

As your 4th hero, and this important...   you need a HD/AP Huntress with Sticky bombs to repair/defend the lanes.

Honestly, this isn't as important as some people make it out to be. I broke into NM4 at around 540-550 ipwr on all my characters and did decently with purely builders. From what I've noticed a decently geared serenity monk helps more than a dps huntress does.

Obviously it's personal preference but I found that purge evil procs + the bonus slow helped out a lot more on hard lanes + it requires no additional attention. There's also the bonus that you can play as any character you choose to, being limited to a huntress is annoying considering the current drop mechanics.

If you don't use a hero DPS you must use the Monk AA tower, correct? That sucks up a lot of DU. If you are also using serenity auras and lots of frosties, you must not have a lot left over for traps.

If a frosty freezes a flying unit it instantly dies. More effective than AA's are.

I deal just fine with 2 auto collect bags. Maybe you'll want 3 if you care about Epic tier stuff. At the end of every round just sell off everything that's of a tier you're not interested in.

checking inventory after every round, that sounds like a lot of work :P space for 48 items, problem is when 49+ items drops, at that point, you start losing pet eggs and consumables.

Well I use premium bags so there's a lot more space than just 48 in 3. Although people can assign more if they're lazy, personally I just prefer sifting junk out during games as there always tends to be that 1 guy that doesn't g every round anyway.

  6. Firstly I'd recommend NM3 Throne Room over Incursion as it drops higher ilvl.

Getting into NM4 is kind of luck based as when you're NM3 geared bad lane luck can kind of screw you over, but it shouldn't be too difficult. I'd suggest getting ~230k hp walls and 2k DPS traps before trying to push up though.

If you're still struggling with that then super slow Serenity aura and slow frosty can be pretty helpful. And also it may seem obvious but try to figure out exactly why it is you fail. Trap placement can be pretty important in the hard lanes to prevent things stacking up.

Agreed. Been in plenty of games that throw stats at the player without telling them what they actually do in detail. Still trying to figure out what that gold stopwatch on the monk's weapons means.  ^_^"

It's an indication of the weapons speed. For instance all "heavy" attack style weapons are slow but the higher the number besides that icon, the faster your weapon is.

    EndGame NM1

Gear up here, then move on to NM2.

    EndGame NM2

Gear up here, and then move on to NM3.

    EndGame NM3

This is where you want to really focus on you passives and build to prepare for NM4.

Which maps should I choose for gearing up? D:

I find Liferoot to be the easiest. But you'll probably want to do Throne Room in NM3 for your final NM3 gear set before going up to NM4. (Or possibly Incursions but I'm pretty sure Throne Room drops higher ipwr?)

Thanks a lot! If you're willing, can you add in a list of maps to farm on Free Play Hard for leveling? Or are they all about equal? Both with and without the daily bonus? I read somewhere that the "best" was Wyvern Den until it got nerfed into the ground. So now I'm not so sure which ones to do. :/

Throne Room is generally the most popular choice.

I'd actually rather see you plop them into a map, with no idea of what's going on, and then tell me what their experience is. Without you building or telling them every nuance they should know. you have experience in the game. Of COURSE it's going to be easy. This is nothing special.

This. As I said previously, campaign is more of an introduction to the maps so people can learn how to build on them decently.

And to add to this - Difficulty in a game like DD is very off. Pretty much the only time DD gets what could be called "difficult" is when your walls get shredded like paper in 2 hits and mobs hp is 50x your dps. There's pretty much no way pre-nm content could be made any more difficult. Even at double the hp and damage if you know what you're doing it'll still be a snore fest & anything beyond that is just utterly pointless because it's pre-nm. People don't spend much time in that content.

  11. Well, the game is still being balanced etc. Although I can't ever imagine anything pre-nm being anything near "difficult" - especially not campaign. It's for people to learn how to build more than anything. Besides that just because you can afk and breeze through content doesn't mean you have to.

Personally I liked the fact I could afk all  the way up to 50 since I could do more interesting things than play what is seemingly pointless content properly. That's just me though.

The question for me is not whether its worth.

The question is: How much sense does it make to sell dlcs much more expensive than before.

I am sure Trendy will not be able to have greater success with higher prizes. They could sell more dlc for less prizes.

In my case I would buy the dlc for 23 Euro, but not for my daughter and my wife. If the dlc costs 10 Euro I would it buy three times = 30 Euro. I think this is similar to other families.

Higher prize is not more profit!

Your case doesn't equal everyone else's case though. I'm sure a lot of people (including myself) will buy these packs because they're good deals.

  13. Insane Liferoot until you have correct gear for all of your characters. It's important to keep in mind that upgrades don't always come in the form of sheer numbers on the equipment itself - rather the passives attached to them.

You may also need to work with your placements and fiddle around with it a bit.

People crying about why they can't accomplish monthly quest in a week. You are lucky enough that people take you seriously and reply to your thread.  It is really hard to relate to people sometimes.

Honestly, this. After all it is a monthly quest, it's not supposed to be done in a short span of time.

The fact some people are losing interest in the game because of this monthly is honestly laughable. The skeleton kills come passively by playing (they're not that rare!) and you can easily knock out incursions by also doing incursion daily quests when you get them.
