I'm with Naed on this one. When DD starts downloading updates in Steam, I reflexively click the patch notes link to see what's coming down the pipe, then realize that there aren't any there, and I've gotta fire up the 'ol web browser to truck back here. Not that I don't like it here, just it's an extra step.

Version 1.3 is up~

Old custom maps ARE available on local (and only local) but you must download at least one map from the Steam Workshop to get the button to change from "Get custom missions" to just "Custom missions". I will be upping a map that can give mana soon. i don't think the person who made this is around anymore. I am, I replied just before this~ Updating both of my maps for upload to the workshop today. Also, is the one-mod-from-the-workshop a requirement for people who have non-steam versions of the game? edit: answered my own question, if you click the get-mods button it'll switch to the li

Hey, I've got a problem with this map - I have no trouble getting the files in the right folder (I'm sure that I've done it right), but I can't see the map in-game. I went to local and tried ti find it in challenges, but it ends with "Halls of Heroes PVP" map and I can't scroll any further. Help? Just checked this, and it seems you're right, this may be a change with the new steam-workshop integration. I'll poke around and see what I need to update / if there's a new location the files need to be in. Might also upload to the workshop for those on Steam~

If you finish a build phase and start a round in overlord mode, your equipped pets won't spawn properly if you drop out of overlord mode. Not sure if it lasts for just-that-round or the rest of the game. --edit-- Doesn't seem to be happening consistently, trying to see if there's something else that affects it to make it reproduce-able. -- edit edit -- Upon further review (playing in a friends game) This is a local graphical bug, he could still see the pets and reported that they were still buffing towers properly. So more of an annoyance than a great big fix-it-now.

Guild Wars 2 (and the beta weekends leading up to it) and Torchlight 2. Both of those in addition to Dun Def. The excitement I had for D3 faded pretty quickly as more and more things about it were announced.

Frequent freezes when joining games near the end of the round
Chibi replied to Artemis251's topic in General Discussion
I've been having the same/similar problem, it seems to be a return-to-tavern (or occasionally retry-level) crash that happens frequently but inconsistently when someone else is hosting. Loading screens will show up black with no spinning purple static orb / rune circle, and the exe crashes. Validating the game cache doesn't seem to have any affect on it, and though it does occasionally find files to fix afterward, these seem mostly to be config files getting reset to defaults. -
I think it was mentioned that they were considering (planning?) on adding a jetpack to the EV's Bounty Hunter skin.

EV skin and its stats ( 20% less HP and 25% less Movespeed)
Chibi replied to sindro's topic in General Discussion
I don't mind skins that change stats, it gives you the option to go either way with a character for any given map. For people who think that they should be an entirely separate character (amazon/bounty hunter) it seems like you could solve your problem by leveling a second EV to use the skin with whatever stats were more or less desirable, which is exactly what you'd have to do anyway with a separate character. *C&P'd from the discussion thread about this* -

Custom Maps are not currently supported on Mac, we will temporarily disable them from being listed in the next Update. However, we'll soon look at making DDDK also generate cooked maps that work for the Mac version too! -Jeremy Okiepokie, thanks for the heads up!

Finally, I find it but I have another problem now. :( I can find the map in challenge menu BUT when I try to start the game, Dungeon defenders shut down. I don't know why and I try to play in another custom map like Mad Mana Map and Oneway, they are in same situation. Yeah I have the same problem :[ I'm not sure what to tell ya, this is starting to sound like an issue with DD itself when running on a Mac, or with Mac when running DD. Since I don't have a Mac, there's not really anything I can do in the way of testing/debugging that. Is there anyone successfully running custom maps on

why is this capped at 200mil. Because that's the hard-cap put in place by Trendy.

I play the in mac and I can't the folder(UDKGame\CookedMods)in steam folder. I try to open a new folder and change the name to (UDKGame\CookedMods) in : application Support\steam\steamapp\common\dungeon defenders but I can't find the map in challenges menu. What should I do if I want to play this map? I'm not sure where Mac / Steam on Mac stores it's files or where the appropriate path would be :( I'd just try to match it from the dungeon defenders directory down.

Maps still not working for me for some reason. :kobold: Edit: Nevermind. Installed older version by mistake. Derp. These maps don't work on the DunDefDevelopment.exe version though. The released versions are UPK files, they've already been cooked and packed. The DDDK (just like the UDK it's based on) is designed to work with UDK files, which are the uncooked/unpacked working files of levels. There's really not much to see in this map anyway, as far a editing/learning goes. The bulk of the changes are actually removing restricted and DLC related Kismet, there's only a few new lines
