  1. Hey CG. Rough launch huh. Anyway, waited till the work week started to make this post. easy to focus on some negatives, lets talk about some great things you all are doing. You all give a damn about your game and the community. It shows. You may not always have the best transparency when things go wrong but you always work extremely hard to make up for it and admit when you make mistakes, thats big and deserves to be recognized. The end of week open letter was appreciated, owned up to items that were done wrong, and provided a path forward. Thank you for listening to community

  2. Just some small things that irk us defenders when trying to enjoy multiplayer <3 1. Chat auto-closes mid typing anytime an objective is updated (waves end etc) 2. Keybinds work while typing (i.e. hero display ui pops up, greying-out the game and your chat) 3. New messages are not displayed until you press enter, causing us to not see many lines of text from other players, constantly. 4. Incredibly lagging chat, sometimes not posting a message until minutes later.

If I have 4 builders in my deck and I want to swap them out for maybe a hero dps, or maybe some leveling alts, then the amount of clicking and right clicking and just plain fiddling to get it done is pretty bad. Steps: 1. Press H on keyboard 2. Mouse to heroslot to swap 3. Right click 4. Left click on Swap 5. Mouse to hero you want to select 6. Right click 7. Left click to select Repeat for each hero slot you want to swap With the time limitation on campaign this is like 15 seconds operation which is WAY to much!   4. I'd love to see tower destroyed notifications and possibly Ogre notifications. Maybe I just don't really check my towers enough, or check the map enough.. but I think it'd be real nice to have this feature.. Just a nice QOL addition. What do you guys think?

  5. Would be nice to have a tower destroyed option. I disagree with the Ogre one. DD1 had it and in the end I think most people disabled it because by the end game, ogres spawned constantly. Massacre shows a little of that already.

  6. Yeah the loot was significantly nerfed, I am playing solo and the progression curve is now much slower mainly in Nightmare. Until nightmare its easy. But its duable I think -You just need to do it in little steps. I am now finishing Mista mines survival probably like 10x try:] and i was not able to make it still to 25 waiting on good pet drops. Anyway with starting from wave system the Game offers you much less grinding for good pets so this will make significant boost to stats. Like my first rock in NM was 160+ stats which almost doubled my stats:] Also DPS chars are now signif

  7. I use a controller. I feel your pain x10. Changing back to my DPS character with 2 seconds left in the preposterously-restrictive timer on Lava Mines Campaign Massacre is harder and more stressful than using Shang Tsung in Mortal Kombat 2 and trying to get a fatality where you freeze the opponent with Sub Zero and then Switch to Kung Lao and throw your hat at them, decapitating them while frozen. Okay, it's an elaborate comparison. But it's harder than it needs to be by a lot. :)

  8. Please do not tag all of us like that...it's not necessary. Of course we're still doing it and it's a big priority right now. We honestly just don't have a good idea of when it will be ready. It's close but there's still some major kinks that need to be worked out it's just too hard to give a timeframe right now.

The new horizontal way of reading stats for hero and towers it like bugs me for some reason I don't know how many feel this way but i prefer the old vertical version of the way it showed stats easier to find the stats I wanted on the hero I do like the fancy new look but the order could be better the old way.

  10. Fine, I've received KS rewards, thanks a lot! Now, what about another pre-order rewards? I mean the prestigious edition rewards. Also, what about Soundtrack, Strategy Guide and "Thanks" Credit?

  11. Pre-ordered the defenders edition of the game last year which cost me £50 and i never seemed to get any of the pre order rewards. I've made a ticket on the support page a few days ago but haven't gotten any type of response at all.

  12. When are these supposed to be coming out and what do they look like? The only skins I have received are the rift skins. I did the $300 backer tier. I’m just wondering what’s going on. If anyone knows and has some type of info it’d be great.

  16. Chat is such a fundamental part of the game, and yet it feels like the devs have not prioritized getting it fixed. Only at the release was the chat bug fixed that caused it to never keep scrolled to the bottom. However, 4 new bugs have been added - see list above.

  17. The Siren can cast a spell that puts a permanent resistance on mobs it affects. Seems to cast it real fast too. I agree, it's ridiculous. When I was playing on Massacre, my final wave took forever because I had to kill multiple ogres with these buffs. It's not like it was even an added challenge. My walls held up the whole time. Just a time waster.

  19. So I finally got an email reply, and I was told that we should expect the rewards sometime soon, probably the next small update lol. I am assuming when the devs mentioned 'on top of the rewards you've already received", they were talking solely about the kickstarter rewards and not the preorder rewards. We shall see :)

  21. Yup there should be already a party window with player HP/Mana/Name but we dont even have a working in-game chat or item trade... 1.0...

  22. Agree, it was a well written, thoughtful note. However, the fact that local split screen was not addressed at all concerns me. Has this feature been de-prioritized? Eliminated? I backed the game on kickstarter, but agreed NOT to play the game until my wife can play it with me.(couch co-op)

Maybe I am just building the wrong things or just not strong enough because I do not have a dps character I am a solo player and I am towers only type of guy i do dps the enemys or try to at least but because i do not have the mana to build early enough for each lane there is always one lane that does not get everything for wave 1 I guess the dps hero would be a fix to that but like i said I am more of a pure strategy type of person I only dps what i can or help with what i can.

  25. I kinda like what they may have been going for with the change from EA, but the TOWER stats and HERO stats need to be in separate columns, they are kinda all over the place, it irks me too, so you're not alone OP. The compare feature is a little gross also lol

  26. Also a solo player - I was having similar issues. I constantly find myself wishing for just 5-6 more seconds on the wave timers. Lava Mines was especially annoying given the long travel time when heading towards the top crystal. One thing that helped me was swapping over to a damaging pet. DPS pets put out pretty decent numbers in Massacre. I'm only in Act 2 at the moment, but my NM dragon can pretty much solo Ogres, and has the added benefit of dealing with spiders before I even know they're there.

  27. I'm sure that massacre will be adjusted and balanced more in a future patch. That being said, I don't think you're going to be in a position to only use towers at any point in time (especially during progression). It's supposed to be the hardest content in the game and as such I think the intent is to require strategy, strong towers, and active hero play/dps to defeat.

  28. yeah this could be frustrating after a long day of farming i would assume it only had 2 tower stats when it has 4 but it looks so weird.

  29. oh do not forget the timer on massacre not enough time to do everything needed which makes sense since it is a harder difficulty but the timer should not be it. I do get everything i possibly can place down on time but barely.

  30. +1 What OP said and thank you CG. For what it‘s worth I would also be completely fine with Hero Levels and EXP only. Gear would be nice but ok if you can‘t migrate it.

  31. DEFENDERS, With the launch yesterday, we haven’t had any crazy big issues, which is amazing. That said, we do have some bugs to get fixed, so let’s get into it! Bug Fixes Fixed an issue with the Huntress causing a crash. Fixed an issue where player dropped items were not showing correctly for clients. Fixed an issue that was falsely triggering hacker flags on players. Fixed an issue where Pure Strategy could not use start from wave. Fixed an issue with the Hero Stat panel’s responsiveness. Fixed an issue with the Bug Report’s responsiveness.
