DPS Monk? Is it worth it?

I want to keep some space for a character when my brother has friends over, because they all love to play as a huntress. They wouldn't mind if I deleted their character and replaced it with a DPS monk, so long as they still got to play as a huntress. I just wanted your opinion as to why a DPS monk would be good/bad.

hero boost monk = awesome
dps melee monk = fun
dps range monk = alright

make one and get an oversized junbao!

lol thanks guys. I decided to make one after all. Until I get my second controller back from my friend's house, I won't be able to power level him though. Does anybody mind helping me out? It's still a level 1 :P
