8-bit boss?
This boss disables your weapon by breaking off some of the pixels to your weapon. Once you kill off all the waves of viruses, the portal on it's back opens. Once this happens you have to jump inside, solve a puzzle within it's coding, and wait for it to be set into a loading mode. Once it's in this loading mode your teammates can now harm it.

Shadow boss?
A boss that can take the appearance/stats/user names of any players at any given point in time. which will trick your friends into thinking the boss is you but wait... there's a twist! friendly fire is now on and your teammates may hit you if the boss has chosen to take you're body as a disguise.

Clock work?
This boss can bend time and reality, switching the map, and dishing out harsh blows against your defenses with it's ability to move defenses or destroy them.

I know these aren't the best ideas in the world but I had fun writing them xD

nightmare reaper:a reaper in a graveyard mission. he can manipulate and control souls (minions) and create eskeletons. in the boss round came minions,ogres,spiders and more,and one is the nightmare reaper(only killed by players)with increased damage and health.with the controled minion has killed the boss control other.when the boss are with 25% health he attack with the real form with his scythe and skeletons.

I'd like to see something reminicent of Cerberus - a nice giant evil 3 headed dog would be a great addition, and would of course be able to attack on 3 fronts so harder to solo.And since its called Dungeon defenders could we actually have a dungeon level lol with racks, iron maidens etc?

Boss Battle: The Kobold Prince.

A legendary prankster that loves to cause confusion & chaos where ever he goes. He's fast, small & short tempered. No one dares saying "No" to him.

A very fast & small(hard to aim at) moving boss that would jump & throw AoE grenades at heroes & there defenses.



Boss Battle: The Cloud Dragon

A mysterious dragon that surf the clouds on sunny days. A few people said he looks completely different when its raining. As if he becomes a demon during the storm!?

It would be epic if our defenders could fight a Chinese dragon in/on clouds. Seeing a serpent dragon coming out of the clouds trying to bite you with a mouth wide open would be quite scary!



I could keep them coming... :p

I love reading other peoples ideas btw. More, more!!! :D

My boss idea is that why not have a orge/ Orc that has a load of other mobs such goblins and the healer guys which may fall off or through things as the boss progress's 


Another Idea is that a kinda dragon boss which flys around

get the boss in the middle and make 4 lanes spawning supporters all the time which walk to the boss to heal him

goal is to kill the boss within a time limit (no core in this version)

to do that you'd have to build defenses to kill the supporters before they can heal the boss and than finish him...

as dark mages and these dig in healers already got a bunch of health it may get really challenging

The Dragon return would be nice, that was a fun boss battle in the original DD

MEDUSA BOSS: which will turn everything in front of her into stone for a few seconds.

MINOTAUR BOSS: Would be awesome, would carry a huge axe and would sometimes bull rush you causing massive DPS!

LEVIATHAN BOSS: Probably would want a boss because, ya know, my name. It would be an water map boss and kinda work similar to the dragon boss, where it would hang on a ledge where you can hit it, but would shoot fireballs everywhere causing DPS to anything and everything!

KING BOSS: Final map you are defending the King as the "core" with 4 lanes leading to it.  Once boss wave starts, King is revealed as the main bad guy, using magic to possess the enemies you've been fighting the whole time.  Each hero is spawned at the start of a different lane.  King summons copy of each hero that will protect the lane the respective hero was sent to, all defenses are fully repaired.  Players must fight through their own defenses and the copy of themselves to reach the King.  Once reaching the King, players fight him while he uses assorted magic attacks and dodges with teleports/flight and protects himself with magical barriers.

POLTERGEIST BOSS: Phantom that takes control of defenses at random which begin damaging heroes.  Players can only damage the boss by destroying their own towers (thus making the lanes vulnerable to enemy waves).  For non-physical defenses (auras/traps) there may need to be something more substantial to aim at, perhaps a more physical form of the boss shown manipulating it?

I'd like to see a flying boss.

A zepelin type flyer like you see on the Ramparts stage but obviously upgraded.  A Goblin version of Old Ironsides if you will.  As its flying to the crystal it drops off ever larger mobs so you have to focus it down asap

maybe even some kind of boss that can throw/catapult mobs right up to subcores or crystals

According to the details, Summoner came from Crystalline dimension... so did a lot of evils, so it would really be possible to have it? It would be an epic nostalgic moment for many =p

Goblin Mech Mk2

New anti-personnel shoulder-lasers, stab-attack, KISS (Kinetic Incendiary Super Swarmer) factory, whirlwind and FULL POWER.  Still has chop attack and missile batteries.

Anti-personnel shoulder-lasers: Chooses a far-away player and channels a long-range beam toward them.  The laser can be outrun, 5 seconds up, 5 seconds down.

Stab-attack: one of the blade arms strikes in a straight line toward a player with medium range.

KISS factory drops sapper units that roll toward towers.  Swarmers cannot be damaged by towers, must be killed by heroes.

Whirlwind: Boss activates a defensive shield, preventing all damage and spins wildly in place for 10 seconds.  This causes the pilot to get dizzy, making chop and stab attacks inaccurate for 10 seconds.

FULL POWER: All systems activate for 20 seconds, but results in system overload for 10 seconds.

Multi-phase fight: At the start, the boss swings blades and shoots missiles like the Mk1.  At 80% health, he turns off the missiles, halts chop attacking, activates the lasers and begins to stab attack "Precision!  More precision!".  At 60% health, he activates the KISS factory while continuing to laser and stab "Don't let them give you a... KISS!".  At 40%, he gets angry and activates whirlwind (10 seconds up, 20 seconds down) "Get awaaaay!".  After whirlwind, he fires rockets and (attempts) chop attacks.  At 20% he goes crazy and activates FULL POWER, firing all systems for 20 seconds, but overloads the mech for 10 seconds (+100% dmg taken, no systems active).

In my vision of this boss, missile attacks are more like artillery shells, instead of the seeking missiles from DD1.  They would be fired and the impact area would be highlighted by a red circle prior to the explosion.  This is to make the laser and missile mechanics different.

Silly Idea

The Singing Robot Troupe: Beeburrbot9000 sings, dances and spits... Two Directions has a head with two fire-breathing faces... Kilometeree swings around on a wrecking ball.
