every time i load up dungeon defenders and get to the purple loading screen it freezes and then shuts the game down and then steam doesn't respond and i don't know how to fix it. i have not been able to play the game for 2 weeks.

Probably some corrupt files. Right click on the game on steam, go on properties, local files, check cache integrity.

What are your system specs?

thanks that worked, but is there any way to delete addons? i need to know this because a addon wants to update but when it hits 100% my Dungeon defenders crashes.

Visit the Steam Workshop page that you got the additional map from and click "unsubscribe."
