New Tavern

Yes, I know. We've all heard it once or twice. But, seriously, this is something not only I but nearly the entire community has been waiting for. A few months back Nexus introduced a concept of his own, which excited lots of the viewers. Sadly, for whatever reason it was never implemented into the game. Whether it's the coding or programming, or whatever it is you need to do to change it, do it!

I can't be the only one who is sick of the stuffiness with all the trophies and the worn out "L" shaped tavern. Once you become an Ultimate Defender, there isn't much room for items.

Nexus' idea of expanding the tavern, and having an outdoors area with an extra room made just for trophies was genius. It's long overdue, imo. If this isn't already in effect, I don't see why this shouldn't happen soon. Personally, the game is nearing it's end. There's not much to do anymore. As an experienced avid player/fan of the great game Dungeon Defenders, I say this would be the best possible thing for the game. I see many long term players that have their interest in the game dwindling to mere nothing, same goes with me.

I gave away tons of my builder gear a few months back, and I basically sit in my tavern 90% of the time. Along with the other shop owners or the people that just like to hang out in the tavern and have a fun time talking to friends. I can't necessarily see myself playing this game or even getting on the game at all in a couple months. Quite honestly, a new tavern could keep fans such as myself around for a while longer. It's in the best interest in the players of the game. At least all the people I've talked to this about. 30+ people at least.

PLEASE TAKE IT INTO CONSIDERATION!

Well it's true, we do need a bigger tavern and honestly I find it hard to fit items in there at most points.

I agree. The trophies have everything cluttered. Now we have 2 more than have to be squashed in somewhere.

Even if it wasn't Nexus' design, it would great just to have an upgrade. Something near the size of his, with an outdoors. The trophy room idea was the best part of his entire design. To have a whole separate room purely for trophies is an amazing idea. The extra room for items and space would be much appreciated.

Agreed a new tavern facelift is in order.

I must agree. There's simply no fun ways to decorate the current tavern. Nexus' tavern would provide far more ways to make pretty colours. :D

If this is so much wanted, someone get started on the DDDK and make this new Tavern. They can simply strip parts ( or some parts simply won't have to be made ) and then implement that. Make it a contest for hell's sake. "Tavern design Contest"

They already implemented two maps from the map contests into ranked. I don't really see the problem with making a separate contest for a new tavern. There doesn't even need to be a money prize. EVERY player uses his tavern so obviously that would be a big prestige thing.
Imagine being able to go ingame and say "I designed this place."
