My 1000th post

Trendy, please add a higher difficulty mode than nightmare because just creating harder maps is not enough.
A higher difficulty mode would bring back freshness of the older maps such as boss rush and er monster fest, it would also bring in the possibility of higher quality shards dlc weapons from moraggo, aquanos and mistymire. I know quite a few people who would love to get their hands on a better sandbow or bloodshot staff.
And you don't even have to recreate what nightmare did, all you need to do is what you did with insane+ difficulty for consoles and boost the current nightmare difficulty monsters.

This is my 1000th post and i wanted to use it to express this.

+ 1 for the idea! Even if i wouldn't be able to Play on this difficulty Mode :'D (Pretty Sure you Would Need ~5k+ Stats o.o)

Also, another cool Idea would be to implement a random boss (goblin mech / demon lord) with a high amout of hp mid wave. would take away afkers / split screeners) and may add more teamwork to the game if a random boss spawned every 500 mobs)

obviously not as strong as the boss, but if the boss has 3b hp, 2 mini bosses mid wave of 700m hp would be challenging but manageable ( you get the idea)

That would be a brilliant way to kill afking.

I'd call it Apocalyptic mode, with enemies and difficulty itself colored black, requiring at least 2k stats on Deeper Well campaign, with a good build.

Yeah, RNG would need to get fixed before that.

I don't think we're ever going to see a new difficulty or more heroes
especially not if they 'need to fix rng' to get there

Fixing the rng would require a full wipe on ranked and that's obviously not happening. Lowering the chance to roll negative stat would increase the overall quality of loot aswell.

Call it Hell and Have the enemies pure Black or even better.

Trendy unleash the Troll in it's full glory on NM and that right there may change builds and keep things interesting. For people unfamiliar with the Troll it was going to be an enemy that would only be able to killed by a particuliar element and would ressurect like a skeleton. So would have to be killed several times. It was also suppose to throw rocks that would crush defenses.

Now that thing would keep you on your toes.

That would be great, but there is not a single tower capable of dealing poison elemental damage so you would be forced to use poison elemental hero dps weapon.

They already have the coding for a new difficulty. It is called blitzkrieg. Will they ever implement it? Who knows "(. Grats on a 1000.

There's always strength drains and darkness traps to be utilised.

However they would be a welcome addition and it would be sweet to have an enemy shake things up again and change how people build to compensate for it.

You guys remember spiders, djinn, sharkens? they caused an uproar. However they created new creative builds and kept things fresh as you alwas had to adapt.

Lol the first time i saw a pider i was like: WTF IS THAT thing i hate them so much but i got used to it.
Then djins came: Omg not another troll monsters.
Then sharken: ohhhhhhhh that thing is destroying my buildddddd, i hate it already XD

But now those monsters are fun to play with lol

The best name for a new difficulty would be "impossible", so we can have many threads complaining that beating map XXXXX in impossible mode is impossible.

If the difficulty is like it sounds, expect 1000 mobs to spawn on wave 1 and simply curbstomp you.

I would love to see a new difficultly... But as mentioned previously in the thread it would require fixing RNG which probably won't be happening.

When I experienced back in July, I was but a wee little summoner with 2kish stats. My other builders were 1.5 ish. I spent 15 minutes building Summit. We were destroyed in 3 seconds. The monsters crushed everything. I would love a second shot at it now. But sadly Dredd removed the map shortly after the event.
