Regarding the harpoon choke point, I rotate the reflect by 45-60 so it covers stuff from the bridge and copter missiles from above, like this
(bridge) (reflect, tilt more) (minions)
====== / oooo<-

Oh and fastest run was 26:19 with this build.

//Edit: I replaced the harpoon with a proxy, worked better. I also placed a random jester present at the NW minions, got a proxy too which seemed to help.

Well, I figured this. Ogres just crushed all my minions 3rd wave. So now I have to set aside my tower boost monk, and throw a Genie on my Huntress. Looks like I have to go Ogre hunting. I'll give it a few more tries. My Huntress hits for 27 mil dps tavern, but that is with my cat, now I have to cut that in half to get stuff upgraded fast.

Add me up on steam if you like, i have no problems with the build but lack the DPS for the boss. You can go ogre hunting and I do the upgrades :p
Won't be playing much tonight though...

Looking top down from map. My top/left aura and minions take a beating. I did not notice the STR drain did not cover the minions until wave 12 and they got cleared out.

Wave 14 the djinn took 2 aura's by the bridge. This left one crystal with no Ele to protect from birds. Game over wave 14.

The amount of spiders, djinn, Goblin copters the top/left minions have to face is pretty thick. I tried to dps, but lots of times I just got webbed while being shot by goblin copters.

The minions top right by the tunnel, and where you get Turtle pet did just fine as well as the ones in the water. No issues there.

My guess is this build works. It got to wave 14, just had to do lots of dps.

Maybe moving the auras closer to the minions, away from the tree, could work.

I don't know if it was the harp. It's has 4.2 tower str, it just did not get the djinn that theft my Ele aura which was covering the crystal. I had the top/left aura more stable though the minions were still taking a sever pounding. I will have to give this another go, but getting taken out by a djinn theft wave 14 is very annoying, when everything else seemed to be holding somewhat.

EDIT:

OK, dropped a prox and spike on the minions top/left and dropped a gas/prox in place of the harp. I did not use ensnare bottom/right (in the water by fall) because there was a gas trap there anyway to save DU.

Boss came, and stuff started to go down at that point. It could have been the minions by the boss getting smashed. I killed the boss with Huntress.

REWARDS:


I was hoping for my box to fill up with trans armors instead of myth but still the same crap insane gives. Same crap Ult Obsidian weapon, Same crap high level pets I won't use. The one Exception was the Sup ACC.

It was a whole lot of effort to do this solo, and one can only scratch their head as to why the insane drops are like the nightmare drops except for the SUP ACC? OH, it's Dungeon Defenders that explains it.

Just Soloed again. Another Sup bracer but no dps stat and Neg Tower str stat. I think I killed 1/3 of the mobs. Not sure I like this build. I like a build were the towers kill mobs. Basically it's kill boss before the whole thing comes down.

Tried draemn's build. Both builds made it to boss, boss dead. I can't say I choose one over the other because both builds take a sever pounding and lots of player work upgrading and killing mobs.

I say give us a extra 100 DU and MU. I would rather just build and wait on boss. If things are not gotten to properly or in order, or you forget, I find myself replacing stuff through the waves before Boss arrives. That is with both builds.

With 4 players I tried yesterday the boss had 1.5 billion health. (What the heck?) 3 of our players died, but thankfully the boss was down to 500 million for me to finish off. Defenses started going down everywhere. The rocket volly's from boss are just crazy, and the boss is swarmed with lots of ogres, Goblin copters and everyone else that wants to kill you.

I am not saying the map is impossible, beat it several times, but for a lot of players, it will seem very hard.

The amount of mob's released after boss comes is a little over the top. You don't have long to kill the boss. I would like to see this scaled down a bit so players without insane DPS have a chance to duck and dive, killing boss without all the defenses being crushed.

So I've been mixing up the builds.
West is exactly like Doctor's old build (3DU wall 5DU buff 4DU wall with 2 spiders, 6 archers, 1 mage, 1 reflect, 2 aura stacks, 2 gas traps), minus some minions and buffs on the crystals (not needed with my auras). I was worried about removing the reflects, but they do not seem to be needed at all I figured once I tried it without.

East crystal is exactly like in your new build, as is the river part.

this setup has stabilized west tremendously for me. Before I constantly had to pay attention to either NW or W by the bridge. now i can leave it for more than half a wave unupgraded (besides buff ofc) and for a full wave once it's 1*.

Done a few solo runs now with no issues at all, had better loot on insane though ;/

Did 4 player online and it seemed to be a bit mental with the amount of mobs, but with all of us ~3.5-4k stats mark the defences hardly took any damage at all other than occasional snot balls.

Boss was down extremely easily (about 15secs?) with 1 Monk 2 Barb and my Squire so I couldnt say how the build that was used held during the fight and finally got a Sup accessory.
