Required info/help.

Can anyone help me with a few questions I have?

1. What is best for monk dps, Ranged or Melee? And why because Ranged seems best to me
2. What is the best weapon for dps Ranged monk?
3. What is the best weapon for dps melee monk?
4. What is the highest dps ranged weapon you've seen? With +5

So far I've decided dps ranged is best with +5 bolts? But I find Wrench is the best for this but can only get to 40k ranged damage...

I appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

1. Ranged. Ranged dps is best for all endgame really mobs will blast you endgame unless you are playing barb or a squire that doesnt do damage.
2. Might not be the best but gambler's polearms are commonly used and pretty easy to get.
3. Probably a wrench not sure.

2cents I could be off.

It's kind of subjective- Melee damage is perfectly good but it's riskier high wave NM survival you're putting yourself in great danger on monk being in melee range.

Remember though, while monk is generally "the best" for DPS, if the monk has really high hero boost stat he can boost the damage of anyone else in a relatively wide area- so when you're playing in a group, you can be other classes and still do strong DPS (Jester and huntress both have solid damage scaling and really benefit from the monk's hero boost)
