The Woes of leveling up a elderluck cry baby story.

Recommended Posts

So I 've been procrastinating leveling up my dps squire to level 78. He is level 76 atm pretty close yet far from 77 so. I did one glitterhelm run misplaced the Slice and dice at the bottom of the plank bridge to far too the wall and a ogre hits the crystal. Long story short I still got 2.1mil then I used my exp bonus. I sat down and I was about to do 5 runs of glitterhelm and then I thought about it again and I just turned the game off.

How do you psych yourself into grinding levels? Even after that I did 2 insane + MM runs 1st wave using a 2nd controller I build auras and bouncers and didn't get hit or the crystal. It just seems like more trouble than its worth get me?

I wish there was a exp booster item or potion. That would triple the exp or something ah well.

Theres my useless rant.

I don't know about you, but I've played plenty of rpg's where you have to farm and grind to get your stuff. Mainly, I'm talking about wow. I've played it for 5-6 yrs now. Honestly, just plow through it. Whenever I need to farm, I like to get help so that the workload doesnt seem like its too much and that it doesnt seem too boring. Eventually you get into the habit of it, and it wont seem as hard.

Sorry if this doesn't help much. I haven't played wow for a long time now, and it's hard for me to farm on DD so I don't know how well this relates.

Hahah not everyone has the time or materials to grind to 90. So in order to grind to 90 you essentially need to grind for gear to grind to lvl 90. Just my 2 cents.

I have no problem grinding the problem is repetitiveness. I ve done glitterhelm so much to get my character to 74 and 78 and I deleted 2 of my level 78 characters by accident and had to get them back.So I am kinda sick of grinding. I can't solo insane + so I don't have many choices. And Ive played a mmorpg that takes longer than this to level up I got to level 85 on like 6 characters on that game and maxed level specialist cards with + 13/14 wings on them. if you break this down into how long it would take or could take. It would be 2 years of work at least thats how long it took about. And the Rng for wing upgrades was so brutal it would take your gold, wings, souls, and scrolls everytime.Heck even the resistance was a pain to make and the materials for everything was so expensive unless you paid real money. Then they shut that server down. And in a mmorpg you have quest and different areas where you can gain certain amounts of exp and different items and materials. DD is pretty closed so the grinding gets really boring.

I see no point in going to level 90 on console, yea 100^'s items but its not worth the effort imo. I just don't farming on dd is alot of work. I farm 3-4 times a day on several different maps and I do pet runs. Rng is so mean to me. I barely find anything to up my stats. Making trading the only real option if I want to get what i need.

I think a pet that gave you more exp would be a good idea,

Someone did a post a few months ago about level 83 being a game changer, i'm guessing lv 90 is another game changer in regards to insane plus.

why don't you do mistymire insane plus first wave restart? you can get like 28mil exp in an hour i can help you later if you want

i tend to do a giraffe run in the morning then a few soul focus runs, and later do a few morrago with 1 afk controller

I only wish we could make a pet like that. Unfortunately that requires a major code change and thus a patch...

Honestly, Leveling in DD is not much of a big deal to me. You just need to be patient and be keen on your goal and thats it. But I must agree with TS (Thread Starter) that leveling in the world of DD can get really really boring. So I usually get through that by playing a spiltscreen with my wife, so that there are some conversation and interaction in the game. I also have a regular partner in crime in leveling, we usually do glitter runs but would shift maps or do challenges when we get bored. We kinda tell each other how much more xp we roughly need to get to the next level and would help the one with the closest gap to achieve his level first, then we'd find that the other person is actually nearing his goal too! and we'd continue this on and off.

Nothing too helpful to share, but thats how I'm doing it for now. MMORPG takes a lifetime if you wanna compare leveling in DD to it. DD takes only a Day.

my advice is to just play for weapons and armor and ignore the experience because your going to get that along the way anyway, even if your characters are leveled up to 90 and you have no decent weapons or armor it's not going to help you much takes a long time to find good items so i just play the farm for the things i'm looking for and add as many afk controllers as i can play with to finish the level with the full bonuses. My higest lv character has just got to level 89 but i see other people with lv 78 characters stronger than mine, hoping that will change soon though because i can actually solo morrago myself now so should get some better stuff

Depends on the mmorpg and DD is a few hours of glitter helm but you have to want to do it over and over. I hate taking time its like when i work out.I like to do it all in one set but sometimes I don't feel like doing it so I just go do something else.

What happens in 2 weeks classic? U holding out on us?

Yes, classic, please elaborate? Do you know something interesting about today's beta activities in Gainesville? Can't be the Xbox DLC because Elderluck is a PS3 guy and you were talking to him... a new PS3 event maybe? This kind of purposeful teasing is more than some of us can bear! :)

perhaps its a dark bot/laser robot with more ups than the first one, but you have to be lvl 90 to use it. would kind of make sense because that seems like the most popular event pet, and why not end with a pet everyone loves.

I would buy the pc version 1-90 you can do it in like 1 week

If you play on Ranked I give it a few hours, if you play on open/custom its about 5 -15 minutes. lol So many options, You can get to 90 in less than a week tho. Those maps give so much exp like 12million for a few minutes vs. 7-15 minutes for 1.7-2.4 million.
And you actually get multiple classes and weapons to work with and better stats so you can have a variety of fun.

Whatever the last event pet will be won't carry DD currency. The DD trade market will crash along with its tainted population.

it goes really fast that way i find i usually didnt even notice i gained 2mill exp in the short time n about 7mill exp or more when the show ends
