Is DD over?

If a DD2 is released, I unfortunately wouldn't buy it until it A) went on sale, B) got most of it's DLCs out of the way and had them packaged, and again went on sale...

Sure I enjoyed the game, and didn't mind the small amounts here and there that I paid into the game. But overall, I paid upwards of ~$80 for a game that I felt "did" get good attention and patched often for a while.... but still lacked attention to some of it's core problems. And that to me spoke more volumes.

Game was released on Steam in October of last year, and still I experience the downsides of the game to this day. Well, the last time I bothered to play ;)

I feel like this post is a little futile.... There is already the last part of the DLC on the way / Aquanos being fixed for its loot and exp values. With the amount of work they are putting into to making the console version patch i don't see them just making a DD2 anytime soon. This game has endless potential and has a great playability factor if these are the games you like. I'm not a steam user i have it on console where believe the problems are worse. There is still so much planned for the console versions to try and bring them up to steam standard. However all that aside, i used to be a call of duty fan, now there is a game that rips you off with its DLC. Not Trendy, 3.49 on ps store for downloadable content... If you gonna complain at that price i'll give it you myself you pikey!!

yes it does look like they are working on other things and dd2 is not on their minds :(

but lets not lose focus of the fact that we maybe missing the point

trendy created a bit more than the a base game with huge amount of content, more that available for most new games.

and they also released and support a very nice sdk for it.

so its now up to the community!

map / mod / conversion makers are crunching away, it takes time to learn all the stuff they released and to create new content

right now we are having another map contest and in a couple months from now that map will be available in ranked for free!

if they continue to do this every quarter we should get a new free ranked map!

that about 4 a year.

plus there is a much larger quickly growing number of community created maps available right now for play.

some are pretty good and they will only get better as the community shapes them

so don't just end up here lamenting that dd is over, as i posted before it's just begone!

so head on over to dd workshop and get yourself a new map to play! :)

and don't forget you too can pitch in and help create some new maps, mods, conversions, so just play them and provide the authors your valuable input!

Pc players are so lucky -.- They think there isn't much point in playing anymore but their content spreads far more then ps3 does.

I wouldn't say we are lucky, I would say those who bought the game on PS3 (and Xbox) didn't have good luck.

Idk if I agree with you on that sir. I own DD for PC, PS3, Android n IPad. Id say that DD on any platform isn't a waste of money.

$15 bucks on the consoles must have gotten you well over 100 hours worth of fun. Plus a few more bucks for DLC, and a few more hours of play time.

Granted on PC DD was able to fully blossom, you can't use that as a reason why DD sucks for console. Just like I can't say "ps3 got moraggo dessert n my iPad didn't"
