how much longer are you going to play dd?

this is aimed at the community in general. There seems to be people dropping out left and right because of the current state of the game. I have gotten tired of the game myself. My builders are all around the 3.4k mark and my dps toons are above the 3k damage mark. At this point since progression is broken and it will be almost impossible to hit the 4k mark so I see no reason to continue playing.

So, newer and end game players, how much longer do you plan on playing dd?

i'll pick it up and play new maps now and then with the g/f, but i don't play regularly like i used to

like you said it's not worth going nuts item-farming anymore. i'll spend time trying for more "static" rewards like boss weps, seahorses, etc, but i rarely run survival modes anymore because the payoff just isn't worth the hassle for running a map for 3+ hours.

I'm pretty much stopped caring myself. I sometimes play a map here or there when I'm bored, but I'm not playing it like i used to. time vs reward is not kind with this game, so bored with it now.

Until the day I die or I have children. Either way I won't have a soul.

Until I get all avhievemnts. Ill play with my friends afterwards until they hit where I'm at.

There's nothing else to do after that. Personal achievements are nice (all challenges done on nmhc, all chars to 90, all accessories obtained, ultimate items on all chars, etc etc.) But they don't do much for me and its not good to brag about that stuff.

As for trading. You can't do anything with your stuff but keep it or give it away. You can trade for mana tokens but what the hell are you gonna do with those.

I'm suprised there are still people who play and have obtained pretty much all achievements and done most the personal achievements I listed.

This game was fun and ill say its one of those games ill be glad to play again the future.

I just need crystal.dimension then ill start to realize what is left for DD as no more heroes are avaluable and we have yet to see maps (workshop maps are nice to play).

I can understand some peoples addiction with this game especially when they got everything.
The reason why people want to hit endgame for some games is to do PvP. A game like DD it just doesn't feel right to play pvp.
Some people also like to brag about themselves being he god-tier player with the best items in the game. (My friend in some mmo.)
Some people also enjoy their names in the top 10 (imagine asteroids arcade game.)

There's nothing to do on this past where I'm currently at. I played for the fun of it, and the time spent on it was all worth it.

Once I get my achievements and help out my friends ill huge away my gear most likely. Then pick up the game again in the future.

I stopped a short time after shards 4 with only crystal dimension on nightmare missing as achievment. Game simply isn't fun with the current gear drop rates. And unlike in other games such as WoW I don't have any kind of interest in becoming an merchant to get gear in a way that has nothing to do with the real game.

I come back for a week or so whenever they release new DLC, but other then that I was done a few months ago.

Yes, this game has lost its life for me... Drop qualities reduced, nothing to really shoot for...

Trendy should release some impossible maps, for those endgame veterans with REAL DROP RATIOS, this would at least give us more things to play before we fully quit.

Due to the crappy progression, until Guild Wars 2 comes out. I wanted to get all achievements, but that seem unrealistic to me now without either hacking, benefiting from hacking, finding someone to carry me (all these options are rather unfulfilling), or hoping one day they fix scaling and progression.

Stopped for now. Since the FPS drops to 4-8 during combat phase since last patch. Like watching a damn slideshow.

All there is left to do is get a handful of achievements, a couple of which are nearly impossible to solo, and that on itself is a problem as not a lot of people seem interested in playing it anymore, in steam at most I see 5 people playing it out of a 45 or so DD players.

So, to answer the question, not much it seems, definitely thought it was going to be a lot longer.

when i get to play again im considering leaving the game once im done with all achievements i really dont see much of a point grinding gear for no reason if i can beat the mission and beat it on survival nm hc mm

already around 3k stats could care less of getting an ultimate set

already have many other games to play and finish DD way to time consuming just to find a new upgrade to your hero

I have almost stopped playing. I come on every now and again to maybe check shops for trans (like anyone would sell good trans...) and maybe run a mob for a bit, but already started playing other games. Today, my college courses are starting again so that makes even less time I may even be on.

i feel this game was on such a high point. and now they letting it die down..

imo it feels like they got there money, no they dont care as much. the game was more fun when they try hard, when i was on ps3 playing this my friends used to tell me "theses new this and that out on pc" i dont hear that any more,

i just dont feel like there is a effort coming from them anymore, there are many bugs i could name right now, not that they would fix them if i told them anyway. i want to play but part of me is telling me i want to play some think else.

this may not be the issue, but, it just looks like what it looks like.

This game was a fun distraction, and I'm sure others still do enjoy this game, but I will completely stop playing when GW2 comes out, which for many who prepurchased the game will be this Friday night/Saturday early morning (depends on time zone). My guess is that Trendy is slowly beginning to shift its effort to other projects. I have an embarrassing number of hours dedicated to this game, and I definitely got my money's worth. Despite some of the negative aspects, I would still recommend this game.

Honestly, the fact that I won't be playing DD anymore has little to do with Trendy/DD and more to do with GW2.

Till torchlight 2 then goodbye DD cause you suck as devs for making an for fun loot game with friends or solo an elitist grindfest

I play this game when im bored of my other games so ill play this game for a long time still ... when gw2 is out next week i wont be on for a long while until im bored of that :P

Propably until Borderlands 2 is released :) Occasionally after that, especially if I still have some achievements left... Though this is definitely not a request to get more achievements invented for the game :)
