No offense, but you failed. Try again, please. Not enough DU provided on the map for lower geared players given the number of areas you need to defend (even with the tile bonus). The only people that this won't be a "brick wall" for are those who already doing more difficult maps that were not the intended audience for this map (given your previous comments).

I completed it post-buff with some difficulty on NMHC survival, but I vastly outgear what you claim the intended target audience for the map was supposed to be. For those people struggling in Nightmare (those who you claim this map was supposed to be helping) I truly feel sorry. The only ones that will be regularly completing it are those who already outgear it and provoked this knee-jerk reaction in the first place. The rich get richer, as it were.


This map realy easy.... just learn to play its not hard

The bonus tiles can stand on give you more DU u can have 125 on the map and then there are tiles that when stood on upgrade all towers to 3 stars This map is is not hard

The part I find amazing is that people can't kill 4 mill hp ogres. I just wish to find one person who can stand by a crystal and kill low hp ogres. Is that so much to ask for?


I can do that :) My Sts with only 50k range damage makes quick work of ogres. (yes in nightmare)

And thank you to the other poster for answering my question. I need to get home and try it out again to see how it goes.

Ive lowered the levels difficulty in the next patch. Through raw data and my experience making tons of DunDef maps can tell you it was easier then Sky City. Still, I have lowered it even more.

My minions are at almost 2900 attack. 2.7k adept tower attack 2.5k aura strength.

everything buffed and i just got pulverized on pure strategy!

Enemies are moving at least 3 times faster and ogres on wave 28 are up from 2.2mil to 26 million!

This has been ruined so badly that nearly 3 k Minions on a solid 3 star buff beam get instantly smashed!
without scratching the mobs!
This map is now at least 10times harder what the hell!

This map needs at least 150 DU for me to have a damned chance in hell!

There is just not enough DU!

Could we possibly get another 40 - 60 seconds build time on each wave for the campaign? It just isn't enough the way it is.

Just Hotfix revert the changes you made today and everybody will be happy it seems.... You make it too easy and the people that have 3k stats say its too easy... now the people with 3k stats cant even finish it... What the hell is going on? Who the hell makes these stupid decisions is what i want to know... I have 2k dmg on my countess and i was able to get to wave 28 with 3 other people... Now I don't even want to try it because it seems like it will be a waste of time. I would rather go die a bunch in aquanos or skycity which i can't even do either. LAME FIX YOUR CRAP TRENDY



Edit : I just read the admin post I'll try the map again now and see what happens.

Instead of relying on the data, have you actually tried playing it yourself with the intended pointrange? Then based on the fact that you made the map, you also know beforehand the best tactic, so based on this reduce the difficulty with a couple extra pegs so people can start on the map with a less then optimal build and slowly improve on it as they are playing it.

Since honestly if based on your experience AND your data you stated that this was balanced, please rethink your entire balancing procedure.

Besides I do think that the fact that the progression has been borked for like so long already that you shouldn't rely so much on your data and your experience since you'll just end up being wrong again. Just like the balance was off during all the new shardmaps, and every subsequent new character and every subsequent new map and the fact that it still is borked...

PS : and while you are at redoing that, maybe add an option where you can do the campaign without the buildtime limit. For all I care at -90% lootquality reward...

It never directly affected me as I'm doing other stuff in the game right now, but many of my usual teammates were happy to be able to do their own stuff, leveling, farming mana and finding decent loot, without waiting for me to be able to walk them through a farm run.

Thank You so much for trying to strike a balance and keep both sides happy, well, at least satisfied.

I'm thinking is still be too hard unless ppl got 2.5k stats at least.
so still us casual/solo players will still be hitting a brick wall and having no fun.

just have to wait on the patch.
if its still a joke,im un-installing it cannot be done with the stupid grind for random gear.
and having to lvl and gear many chars just to play it now.

now the question is how much did you up it before hand?

I'm thinking is still be too hard unless ppl got 2.5k stats at least.
so still us casual/solo players will still be hitting a brick wall and having no fun.

just have to wait on the patch.
if its still a joke,im un-installing it cannot be done with the stupid grind for random gear.
and having to lvl and gear many chars just to play it now.

I'm pretty sure Ogres don't spawn on wave 1 of Sky City. Also you have a lot more time and mana is closer to the crystals in Sky city making it quicker to build on. I can set up 3 harps at each crystal and buff beams at 2/3 crystals before the first wave even goes on Sky City.

On Kings game there's only enough mana to build about 8 harps and most of it is in obscure parts of the map.

Sky City is so much easier then King's game atm. Because I can't watch 2 crystals and kill ogres at them on wave 1 of Kings Game.

4mil? I'm seeing 25mil and 56mil copter ogres. I would love 4mil or even 10mil. (nm hc non-mixed on v7.40b)

And my seahorse can do 6.5mil w/ monk boost - still too many too fast. The dews are nasty.

So wait a second... your solution to "this map is too easy" is to raise the difficulty by over 5 times? Late waves were spawning 5m hp ogres, and now they are in the 20s? This is the same trash as all of the other DLCs now - another map that nobody can play on NM except the top 100 players in the game, who already have everything there is to experience in the game.

I love this game, but at some point I'd like to experience the end. I don't want to have to play for 4000 hours to reach end game. I've already spent all of the money on the game and DLCs, let me finish it please.

In my opinion, this map was buffed too much.
This map was challenging non-survival because of the time limit, but survival was a bit easy. It was nice to start getting transcendent gear/weapons for my character, since I am no where near getting to wave 30 on misty. I think this map should have been
made harder, but this patch was a bit too much.

People complaining about the build time, surely that's part of the challenge? On maps like karathiki the build time is much harder.

I still think it's a great map - it'll be even better when it's balanced properly. I doubt it will ever be as hard as sky city due to the very simple layout/choke points.

Also, will/have the leaderboards be reset now?

Why do people keep saying Sky City is hard? Sky City Campaign is easy as **** and the survival is simple as well.

It's the location of mana and the amount of time for building that makes kings game so hard.

I have to admit the map was on the easy side when I played it just after release. I've completed the survival NMHC and NMHC MM before the patch and I could afk wave 30. I tried it again and the same setup got trashed on wave 20 while actively repairing/ flash healing.
I'd say this map is a lot harder than aquanos (survival) now and maybe slightly easier than sky city.
