How to guarantee good boss drops on Sky City

First, you want to join someone else's game with a completely undergeared character (if you have bad resists this is even better). Make sure you die at least every other wave and try not to contribute too much.

Then, make sure you die pretty much at the start of the boss wave. Even if someone else is killing the boss without any issues and all they ask is that you repair the defenses by a crystal, make sure you try to attack the boss but miss the jump by a mile (wait about 10 seconds after it passes the platforms before using them).

If you do all these things, the game should reward you with an ultimate weapon with over 320^ and really good hero stats (including over 500 to hero damage). Even better is that it will give all the other players garbage.

So that explains why the best Wrench i've gotten so far has had 30 upgrades (5 other times have been lower). Thanks for the tip. I will be sure to take all this advice on board.

host rage for you being bad which is something i would do if someone did that in my game haha and you get kicked GG

We could get a Sky city suicide party going. 1 person host, 2 games minimum, host gets first dibs on the best weapon drop out of the 2(or more) games but everything else you get to keep.

This was intended to be more of a joke. I have been complaining about the drops, but I wouldn't exactly say I've been nasty.

I don't think I'm the only one that finds ridiculous that if I do Sky City on Insane HC, I'll typically get a weapon with 180 - 200^ and generally positive (albeit low hero stats)... something that's not amazing but is at least an okay weapon and useable. But when I do it on NMHC, I consistently get garbage with very negative stats and 30^.

I ran NMHCMM Aquanos 4 times yesterday, split screened with 4 chars, I got 10 horses with 1-25^ and negative stats, and 2 decent horses with 100^.

Then I ran Boss Rush NMHC, got a 20^ eagle and a Legendary armor.
Ran it on Insane HC, got a 160^Eagle and two myths with decent stats

that sums up every freaking instance of sky city for me. I really hate this games RNG.

It's like playing wow again, except instead of hoping for that 1/15 or w\e drop, you are hoping for 1 in a ****in googleplex or something

I would like to add that for steam saws atleast, usefulness of stats appears to be inversely proportional to size :mad:

Completely agree.

I dont mind that NM loot has a higher chance of negatives, seeing as the values can get rediculously high, but does it have to have <50 upgrades as well (which takes a possibly usable item, and makes it something that gets sold instantly).

I agree also, playing on insane HC is actually giving better rewards.

I did NM HC Mix mode for a seahorse on aqua... crap myth with a lot of negs with all 4 characters I put on.

I did it on insane HC mix mode........ I got a trans with 300 hero health and 400 hero attack.......

maybe i'm just really lucky but me and a friend duo sky city nmhc all the time (he builds, i kill boss) and we've gotten like 5 good ult saws in the past few days and a ton of really good trans ones. 1 sup. and 2 pretty good monk wrenchs today!

i don't think we've ever gotten anything with <100^

glad to hear im not the only one getting monk wrenches with crap drops on sky city. Ive done it around 10 times in the last 3 days and only gotten one monk wrench with over 150^, but had no extra projectiles...
