MrBurningFinger 0 Posted July 17, 2012 Hi all, i've been wondering how you make an hybrid i have been struggling to make one and it would be great if you guys out there can help a soul out. not sure if this is the right thread to put it in...
Rand0m1zat10n 0 Posted July 17, 2012 Generally you get gear with hero hp and damage, along with tower stats. Also, upgrade the resists. IMO, this isn't a very good idea, as even though you'll have to manage less characters, it'll end up weaker when doing survival, as your stats won't be as high as pure tower or DPS. imported_some_guy 1 Posted July 17, 2012 My squire is sort of hybrid. basically, I just wait I find a piece of armor with good tower stats and decent hero stats, then upgrade the resists and focus on tower stats. Although they're not extremely useful except for maybe on a few challenges.
ReaPxKinG 0 Posted July 17, 2012 A hybrid provides mediocre dps and tower stats with good resists to survive. I wouldn't recommend this considering the fact it won't replace a pure dps or pure tower since you can just switch out heroes during build time.
MrBurningFinger 0 Posted July 17, 2012 wouldn't the 33% (not sure if correct) boost in towers help? or is it still not worth it?
Rand0m1zat10n 0 Posted July 17, 2012 It's not gonna be worth it, as 33% won't help all too much when your stats are 1000+ lower than what they could be.
MrBurningFinger 0 Posted July 17, 2012 alright, thanks for all your help.
DozenMarks 0 Posted July 18, 2012 Is the scaling overall been upped a lot, then? I thought it used to be that having like 2500 in a stat wasn't all that much of a big increase over only 2000 or maybe even 1500, with diminishing returns and all. Would suddenly getting a certain set up to the 3000-4000+ range over perhaps 2k+ all around be that much of a big jump now to be worth focusing again? I wouldn't recommend this considering the fact it won't replace a pure dps or pure tower since you can just switch out heroes during build time. Technically, it's possible to achieve the same stats as a tower or DPS specialist- it's just much harder because you can't accept as many flaws in the stat rolls (e.g. large minuses to a stat you might need). If you're going to be the active builder, it's good to be a hybrid because you won't die as easily and you can still contribute in combat.
gamer22 0 Posted July 18, 2012 my squire pretty much hybrid sure it doesnt have the greatest hero atk points only on 1k but my health 1.5k and tower stats close to 3k my seahorse isnt focused on tower stats and my blood rage is around 1k so my seahorse can deal crazy damage under rage my weapon is also not focused on tower stats all dumped into base damage so i still deal dps while being mainly a tower hero
Lordraviel 0 Posted July 18, 2012 If you are insanely lucky on the high end maps you could probably cap enough stats to Hybrid with little to no penalty, and make full use of the Builder bonus but farming a set of gear capable of doing that legitimately would take forever. Also at that point your stats would be so high that getting the perfect hybrid gear would be completely pointless. Untill you are reaching the stat caps on gear it just isn't worth it though, you are better off with 2 sets that fully invest in the appropriate stats for DPS or Towers. Eagle109 0 Posted July 18, 2012 Hybrids arent really good anyway until u have high stats, as finding good gear at lower levels is hard enough without requiring good into 5 or 6 different stats.
gamer22 0 Posted July 18, 2012 hybrid only good late end game with good gear like what i got at the moment squire probably the easiest hybrid to build aswell as you dont need much points in range and can afford to use pieces that doesnt even have range tower stat

Pretty much as I have Hybrid Countess from since I can remember I was going to THP/HHP maxing then focusing on TDMG/HDMG, about 400 casting, and 100 running, then as much as I could into TSPD, stucked with like 1000 range and ZERO joust xD
DozenMarks 0 Posted July 18, 2012 So the amount of points before diminishing returns kicks in super-hard is a lot higher now than it used to be, I take it?
