Still waiting to hear the winners of the Lost Heroes...

Ending on February 22, 2011, Trendy Entertainment announced the lost heroes event. They announced a few lucky winners would receive a copy of Dungeon Defenders with a PS3/Xbox360...

I have yet to hear any announcement of who won or that this was actually fulfilled.

Desire an official Jer response to this, I will settle for no less.

The game isn't unstable. I suppose by "stable" you could mean "no more new content"; but that's not stable, it's stagnant.

Partly because you don't need the toppest tierest gear to completely beat everything in the game at any given time. I've just been getting my first trancendents and supreme has been out for a long time. I really won't give a rat's behind when the next tier comes out because I don't really even need it. As I said in another thread, you don't need 4000 stats to win.

You don't have to worry if your leet top tier gear will be overridden because it will still be completely effective and useable after the next content update. You're not suddenly going to be gimp and sub par when it comes out. It's also worth pointing out that mythical quality and beyond do mix and match with each other for set bonus purposes. You don't need to get a whole suit of super duper armor before it's useable. It's something you can gradually swap into as you play. Are you really so attached to your armor that isn't even visible on your character (usually looks is the reason in most MMOs why someone might be heasitant to switch to new gear)

This happens in every RPG and MMO imagineable, this is the first game i've played where anyone actually complains about it.

The simple fact is, in a loot-driven game like this (It's been loot-driven since day one), if you don't offer new loot, there's no carrot being dangled to attract you to the next piece of content. It's one of the things that gets people to buy a content pack- new shinies. I've been there and done that when it comes to MMOs. If you add new content to your game but the loot/rewards aren't better, nobody plays the content. If you say you're going to wait until any other game's loot is "stable," you'll be basically waiting til the final days of that game's existence.

you should be excited, not worried, about new loot.

In most games new loot doesn't mean a huge 100-300% increase over the last set... its usually 1-5% and then I would agree its not worth being afraid... wasted time to farm in DD with the huge jumps, even if they have gotten a bit better.
