Mana Farming

So I started Dungeon Defenders a while ago and have levelled multiple classes to 83 and I'm now wondering where is the best place to farm mana?

I see people buying and selling on the forums using tokens worth ridiculous amounts of mana each and I can't even make enough mana to upgrade my gear.

I can currently farm Magus Quarters to 25 if I sit repairing but the mana earned for the time the waves take doesn't seem too great.

Can anyone help me out? It's really hard to find information for this game.

There's shipwreck and QFTLES, they give good amount of mana... if you have the gear for it though.

If you can do Aquanos NMHC survival (maybe just NM), you can clear 60 mil per round easy on some of the middle rounds: 8 to 15 or so... This is with Summoner... Ymmv

Oasis/Shipwreck MF for mid stats. Shards survivals is prefferable though, as you get upgrades as well as the most mana.

You get more mana if you run things solo btw, although you shoud duo the MF's for the MVP rewards

Just focus on completing Shipwreck Ruins on NMHC, once you can do that your money-making career will begin.

Aquenos NMHC can get you a lot of mana if you can do it!!!

Also note that during solo surv, pick up loot till that last 800 or so mob since it just disappears without selling for mana. Sell all during the build phase and that should give you an extra bit more. Of course do so without blindly getting your toon killed (just spam the E key when in a loot rich area). You will pick up a lot of trash but in later waves some of the trash is worth a couple hundred and it all adds up.

I have been farming mana from the throne room survival nm hc mm. If i afk, I get around 50-80m mana per wave. If I actively loot during the wave with empty inventory I have gotten up to 180m mana per wave. I usually start from wave 11. The build I use is very fast to do and does not need repairing during waves.

Drizzit what is your build and stats? I'd like to know that build :P

Make sure that all the auras are buffed and upgrade buff beams first. If you are having problems with west or east, or have smaller auras, you can sell the north electric aura and but str drain auras on each side. You can also remove the reflection beams from north and south, and use them for extending buffs or walls if necessary.

My stats definitely aren't good enough to get far in survival on shards maps solo yet, I might be able to do Throne Room or Shipwreck I suppose. Is it better to do these with afk controllers to earn more mana or what?

Multiple controllers will give you more mana. Do shipwreck for the MVP rewards (ie. crazy pets)

Time to complete the 14 waves is far better at < 45 minutes per run.

However, with Shipwreck the mana doesnt really start to ramp up until wave 11.

I've tried this actively looting and from wave 11 it's about 150m+ and increases as the rounds go on.

This seems by far the best method to me.

do throne room NMHCMM, not so hard and almost every round (if u pick items the whole round) u can reach 100+ mil in 1 wave

With 4 characters the last round I was getting around 150m in items and 40m per character so 310m

Yes indeed, split screen really improves mana runs :) I'm not certain where the peak in efficiency is though as I usually just DUO split screen instead of all 4.

no difference between 2 and 3 players visually. Your main still gets half the screen while the other 2 gets 1/4th each.
