Graphics Card you use

Lol, really? I get no FPS drops on a ATI 4250M with stacks of auras. Odd.

A 7970 is an option too.

Absolutely! That is the direct competition to the 670. :)

It's definately on par with a 680 once OC'd.

There are a ton of factors that can go into frame rate loss, especially if you have a pretty beefy GPU. A major problematic player can be your hard drive, especially a low RPM drive. These new 'eco-friendly' disks are suspect too, they're probably not designed for gaming.

What type of hard drives are you guys using that are having these frame rate problems? (Make/Model?)

Actually take a look at this segment from Tom's Hardware review of the 670: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/geforce-gtx-670-review,3200-15.html

(Based on that review,) the 670 is the best bang for the buck vs the 680 and 7970. Infact, the 670 is cheaper and faster than the 7970 to boot. Even if you over-clocked the 7970 - you're only looking at a 5-6% increase vs the 670. I don't think that's enough of an increase to justify the price tag or heating issues that typically comes with overclocking.

Hmm, I guess so. I'm going to wait for the 660 to come out and see if that is good in SLI. Then I'm gunna be working my a** off to get my gaming setup done.

With 2x660 in SLI, your rig will be a beast - they should outperform a single 680!

I know having 2 560Tis in SLI are equivilent to an OC'd 580.

I hope they don't just slap a 660 sticker on a 560 and say it's 'BRAND NEW!'.

EDIT: Should really stop getting off topic here. Sorry!

3x gtx 580's in tri-SLI at 3240x1920.

No lag unless it's network related. Happens alot when playing with overseas players.

2 x 6950 in CrossFireX.

Bigger maps with alot of player where I'm not the host - think it's more because some people are hosting on 56kb/s modem's!

Edit: Oh and 1920x1080 all on high.

Core2Duo E6400
6GB Ram
HD4870
Graphics set to High detail

Very little Lag, more related to Internet Latency I think. 10ms latency to my ISP's International gateway's due to being on Cable.

Just wondering;

1) what graphics card you guys use to run the game?

And

2) does it ever drop frames drastically?
A) what map or during what action?

1 - MSI 550 GTX Ti

2 - I've notice it drop on Talay Mining Map.

gtx 670

Everywhere fireballs are firing at high speed. Got a little better turning of damage flashes and numbers. Not a lot however.

ATI Radeon HD5870 1GB

Never lags even slightly, mind you, I don't use a lot of inferno traps or fireball towers.

I've heard a lot of good things about that card.
