Ceron 0 Posted June 10, 2012 When I play Talay on Survival, it feels like I'm playing pre-7.32 where there's dozens of ogres trickling out at the end of every wave. "Mining Complex" is obviously a ruse; Talay is actually a secret factory that produces ogres in excessive numbers. Is it necessary for there to be upwards of fifty ogres per wave? Nomen 0 Posted June 10, 2012 +1 for a clever title :). To add to this: there is also a cute trickle of about 30 ogres at the end of waves of Moraggo. Takes up way too much time.
zingfharn 0 Posted June 10, 2012 Hahahha. Agreed. It's an ogreload. The thing is, they scaled better with 4 players before the mob counts were dropped. They'd wrap up around the same time as the wave finished. If you kill them faster (easier said than done when they hit 50m, and get trapped behind stuff in gas), the timings sort out, but yeah. Same issue in Aqua too. Not quite so insane, but you're often waiting for 5+ at the end. I like the number, though. Unless it's my imagination, they tend to drop the best loot, and often drop multiple items.
bc304daedalus 36 Posted June 10, 2012 would have to agree aqua isnt so ad on mixed mode its just nm hc were u get the oger trickle but still that only takes 5mins per wave when afk soloing it, but mining complex is a joke u kill everything then wait for up to 20 mins for the ogers to spawn (yes ive had them that slow last night)

Alhanalem 62 Posted June 10, 2012 Ogres are also trickling in on Deeper Well survival, and probably others. It even started happening on my Rainbow map, which has nothing but ogres (so later waves take forever when you're at 400/900 ogres and they start coming out 1-2 at a time)

zingfharn 0 Posted June 11, 2012
20 mins for the ogers to spawn (yes ive had them that slow last night)
20 minutes is an exaggeration, at least since the patch. We ran with 6 people and an entire wave took no more than 7 minutes, right up to the end, including the ogre train. I know, because we were under a time restriction, and deliberately checking wave completion at the end of each wave.

Stupid me forgetting to check time to 24h DC always ends up in a funny rush-a-like runs ;)
