AngelusDlion 0 Posted May 15, 2012 Normally I don't play online simply because I have zero fun with the kind of self absorbed obnoxious jerks you find online. I've been having a blast playing my barbarian online. Thank you for being the kind of community that makes someone like me want to be part of it. I just felt compelled to share that... That and "I used to be a dungeon defender like you. But then I took a kobold to the face.. :P "

SnakeChips 0 Posted May 16, 2012 Welcome and yes, the barb is awesome =)
Auroram 0 Posted May 16, 2012 Yeah, the community is actually pretty great normaly. I was expecting to read another rant here, so this is refreshing! People who complain about insta-kicks probably just come into a NM game with 5% resists or something crazy... ^_^
SyDiko 0 Posted May 16, 2012 WelcomeNormally I don't play online simply because I have zero fun with the kind of self absorbed obnoxious jerks you find online. You will find this type of attitude anywhere, but normally, you can always find a group of players that fit your playstyle.
Songee 0 Posted May 16, 2012 There are lots of jerks playing DD, but there is many nice people too, so it's worth it. Welcome!

AngelusDlion 0 Posted May 16, 2012 Actually consoles didn't, got it for PC first and so far only... sorry not giving up my barb to play on Xbox live.. which is pretty rife with the kind of people who make me not want to play. (See www.whywasibanned.com if you don't believe me.) and so far the only time I've been instakicked is when I showed up in a 15th level game with a 30th level barb.. totally understandable. :P
arwenundomiel90 0 Posted May 16, 2012 I second the OP. I normally play solo and normally only play in groups with my brother and friends. But yesterday I hosted a game to get help with Warping Core NMHC and even though we lost 2 times one player thanked me for the run. =D Which helped perk my bleak mood. You guys are awesome. <

[J]eolidus 0 Posted May 16, 2012 I've seen some jerks a lot also. I usually DD w/ friends though.
AngelusDlion 0 Posted May 24, 2012 Ok, I did have ONE experience I'd qualify as bad.. As a barb my build phases are pretty boring so I generally waste mana upgrading and repairing other people's towers... you know, making myself useful because I"m going to generally have a lot of mana once I get to killing.. Had someone think I was selling and boot me before I could even explain. that was pretty obnoxious, but still.. one time out of many..
Lordraviel 0 Posted May 24, 2012 :( consoles loose another player!:( Yeah that happens a lot. I got the PS3 version the day it came out, and a friend did shortly afterwards we played it right up to level 70 and beat all the challenges then we ran out of things to do and motivation to continue playing. Then in December I got the PC version becaus eof the new content and started playing ranked but since my friends PC was no where near being able to play it I ended up not making much progress. Then in March we both bought new laptops for gaming and started again on open (because bizzarely he still doesn't have the internet at home) and here we are still playing solo and Duo with all the DLC nearly 3 months later. imported_some_guy 1 Posted May 25, 2012 Had someone think I was selling and boot me before I could even explain. that was pretty obnoxious, but still.. one time out of many.. I don't think that was it. He probably looked at your stats and saw that you didn't have full upgraded supreme gear and therefore there was no way you could possibly be anything but a burden. AngelusDlion 0 Posted May 25, 2012 I'm pretty sure the "stop selling traps" before he booted me would indicate he thought I was selling traps.. :P forgot to add that, sorry.
Grim indeed 0 Posted May 25, 2012 dundef does seem to have a nicer community than most games, i get thanked alot for running people through things/opening for wave 14 survival pets.. but there are alot of jerks... i joined a game (a 'need builder' NMHC SWMF - i wasnt the builder, but they were already at wave 11 so assumed they had one), on one of the final couple of waves a countess joined and instantly called the build bad (well... worse than 'bad', and it wasnt, it was a standard SWMF build), i pointed out that they had poor stats to pass judgements on the builder (all under 600), they started cursing at me calling me a n00b because they have a builder (which wasnt anything spectacular - or better than the builder ingame) i switched to my countess to prove i wasnt a noob (i actually quoted im not a "f****** n00b" - what theyd called me) the room host told me to watch me language (totally ignoring what the other guy had been calling me), i pointed out that i was just quoting what they'd said (calling them rude in the process) the host (not the builder) said that they were friends and kicked me from the room ... granted it probably wouldve been better if id just ignored them but it was so annoying, and is why i now dislike 'need builder' rooms
