Which level is best to farm mana?

Recommended Posts

Im a new player and haven't got alot of high stuff and charachters yet.

I heard solo-ing shipwreck was good but Im having a hard time with my lv 75 squire with 1k towerstats and no resistances/hp this is on Insane.

What besides shipwreck is a good way to gain mana fast?

Rageamok Well not shipwreck or Aquanos on NM solo... I just don't do enough DMG only what like 10-20k harpoon damage unupgraded.

Currently I BARELY make shipwreck or Aquanos on Insane solo :(

And aquanos on insane gave me maybe like 5 mil for completing it, and the map took like atleast 30-40 min.

Good pieces of armor are Billions at this rate ill never get anything good.

you won't get good armor that costs billions without playing nightmare - which would make sense, since the armors you are talking about are obtained from nightmare anyway.

With 1k tower stats you should be able to do most if not all of Endless spires on NM. That nets about 20-30m mana a run.

Do you have EV? If so you can do magus quarters easily. I'm around 700-800 tower stats from stuff I bought and can do wave 13-20 easily enough. I imagine it wouldn't be too much tougher without the EV, if you use the extra DU right and/or use a monk to boost your stuff from time to time.

I have lv 0 EV. And I did Magus quaters normal NM worked fine but low mana.. I tried Survival NM wave 10-20 Died first wave....

Imma try the endless spire but I fear the worst.

No map on insane is going to give you the amount of mana you seem to be looking for. The base value of the item drops on insane just are not that high. If you have a good DPS character and the Assault Map Pack you get a 9 million mana reward for completing all 3 maps which can be done reasonably quick (<10 min). For insane level farming, this would be my suggestion.

Go ahead an level that EV up. If not to 74 then at least high enough to make buff beams. Even with low stats they actually give a significant boost when upgraded to three stars. Once you get going you'll find plenty of random gear to throw on her to make them better, and to make the walls usable as well.

The setup I use was posted somewhere in the guides section as "another step into NM" or something. You basically use buff beams to have 3 harpoons on each path, right next to the crystal. Throw down some gas traps on the left and right side and an ensare aura on the south. With the last DU an electric aura goes over the center of the area, with a mage wall thrown in, to take care of the spiders that show up. It worked quite well for me.

You can always try starting on an earlier wave (first waves are super short and you can get your footing easier). Also having a genie or Djinnlet helps as well, as you get more mana to upgrade faster with.

From the sounds of it, the first thing you need to do is raise one of each tower builder to level 74+ and start gearing them first. After that, you can handle nightmare without much trouble. If your squire is the only one at 1k tower stats, you won't survive in nightmare, period. The game is designed that way. You need all the different tower types to survive properly.

Do a few insane glitterhelm or DLC maps a few runs on insane with towers built with your squire but swap to another char (or use a controller to load them up as player-2 and splitscreen it. Much more exp this way). It doesn't take that long to get them to level 74 and into myths.

Try mages quarters again but this time start on the bottom wave then when you get to wave 10 your towers will almost be completely lvld up to 3 stars which will double or more there dps......then you should have no problem getting past wave 10 but everybody else is right in the what you need to do is use your builder to set up towers on insane glitterhelm and then switch to another character lvling them (you should also be able to join other people's glitterhelm insane as many people do it just to lvl up) get your event to at leastenough to use boost beams and also a monk will help with mqges quarters

Codnan has the right of it, when I only had my countess I couldn't (easily) start on anything past wave 1 NM magus tower without some difficulty.

Once you have other characters leveled up (namely a monk, EV and huntress) magus tower gets a lot easier, then you should consider starting on a later wave.

Insane Uber Monsterfest can net you 40-50 million, if you loot to fill your bags half the later waves. Also, bring in a second character with a controller for even more earnings at the end.

As for farming nightmare,

1k Tower stats, while definately good, but alone won't get you very far. You'll want to add both a Monk and Series EV with at least 300+ tower stats in order to progress through the MonsterFests for 2-400 mil mana runs. You may find it extremely difficult though, on a good day I can make it to wave 12/14 on UMF alone, but I think it might be due to my setup.

My serious runs, I duo with a friend and we've completed everything but Survival nightmare. Not because we can't, just because we never cared to farm those yet. But, I think we'd have no problem hitting 25+ waves. :)

My 2 characters:
Squire - Mythical Huntress Guardian (Primary Builder)
Huntress - Trans Genie/Djinnlett (Ranged Mana, Tower Upgrades)

His 2 characters:
Monk - Random Mythical Damage Pet (Hybrid, Orge & Shark poacher.)
Series EV - Random Guardian (Towers)

Our duo works very well.
