As stated above,te has only ever said we need multiple chars now to solo.

They cannot change it to multi-player only now,after many ppl bought it for single-player as advertised on the store page.

Plenty of the game is still solo-able. So, they aren't lying, or false advertising. If every content update after this one requires 4 players to win a game, then that's fine. They aren't breaking any laws. The game itself, which was sold only having Insane mode, without the DLCs, is all solo-able. Thank you for your time. What happens after that is THEIR choice.

This thread has gone hyperbolic what with all the talk of false advertising and the BBB (They are not what you think.)

All this debate could be greatly reduced if only Trendy would come out with a clear and consise statement of intent for the future of the game and solo play. As far as I know, they never have done so, which leaves us all to twist in the wind and post crazy s***.
It leads me to believe they are flying by the seat of their pants. Which is how the game has been all along with all the rewrites, released bugs, and patches.
If they wanted to show they still cared one whit about solo players, they would simply add more build time for solo players to nm and insane modes. Builds have to be more varied and often one has try to swap 2 or 3 times in one build, particularlly if one wants a class specific reward.
Do you think Trendy even tries to play any of these maps solo? I don't.

P.S. A solo player has to be about 10x as good, quick, and precise as 2 or more players. I ran duo last night and it was a breeze on maps that were crushing me.

You're aware the Better Business Bureau is all but completely irrelevant nowadays, right? The BBB relied on four things:

Companies caring about the customer
Companies needing happy customers to make money
Customers demanding satisfaction
Customers complaining to the BBB when they aren't satisfied

Finding a digital media developer/distributor that actually bothers with paying the accreditation fee to the bureau is like searching for a needle in a haystack. Ubisoft is one of those few and they also have a flawless A+ rating. Yes, Ubisoft has an A+ rating. When a consumer makes a complaint to the bureau, the offending company has to rectify the complaint to the satisfaction of the bureau, not to the person who made the complaint.

Also, Apple Computers is a non-accredited A+ company. Apple is currently putting out three major fires: They're getting sued by the Department of Justice for price fixing, defending itself from the media after erroneously attempting to shut down the domain of a Russian security company that was assisting them in identifying a botnet, and finally defending itself in a class action anti-trust lawsuit after a firmware update to iPods made them unable to use music from anywhere but iTunes, which they then raised the price of songs on iTunes by 30cents. These complaints are having no effect on Apple's rating with the BBB whatsoever.

So even if somebody was thorough or concerned enough to research Apple on the BBB, they'd have a false impression that this company works in the interest of consumers.

Oh.. my god... not this ridiculous (polite word usage) argument again.

1. It is their game.

2. The game description is singleplayer AND multiplayer. Nowhere in that does it claim EVERYTHING IN THE GAME HAS TO BE SINGLEPLAYER usable.

As long as it has SOME singleplayer content, they aren't false advertising. Furthermore, EA, Ubisoft and other companies all reserve the right to turn off online servers and end what you commonly know as multiplayer. They do reserve that right.

Are you going to sue Blizzard because, if in 30 years from now, they shut down the servers for Diablo 3?

No it wouldn't. As long as they have solo-able content, there is nothing 'false' about it. There is single-player content. And there is multi-player content. As long as they keep both, there is no false advertising, even if anyone cared enough to try to push it through the BBB (Who would pretty much immediately laugh at them)

Furthermore, it's THEIR game. Not Steams. Trendy can, at any time, decide the game should be multi-player only and remove the single player tag from Steam's advertisement for them. No-one would benefit from this, mind you, but that is a right they have. They could also do it the other way around if they so choosed.

It would be nice if Trendy would distinguish multiplayer content from solo content instead of making it seem like everything in the game could possibly fall under both categories. Every other online game has content that if you try to access it will warn you: "Hey.. You probably uh.. Need a group for this.." And if you don't heed the warning, you pretty much get stomped all over immediately and realize "Well.. Maybe that ISNT soloable after all.."

The shards maps are all solo-able on easy, med, hard, insane, and for many, even Nightmare.

All shards maps are beatable in single-player. Some problems exist on some Nightmare maps, however, it can be done.

When you get back, they've taken out all the seats except for the driver seat. "Yeah, we chose to make this a 1 person vehicle for now. We don't care that you bought this product, since we designed it and can do whatever we want."

You bring your car in because it was recalled. They fix it up, then they add a complete rear-seat entertainment package: 3D TVs, PS3, Xbox, the works. Sadly, since you normally drive alone, you don't get any benefit from these newly added features. To really enjoy it, you need to bring some passengers or somebody else to drive.

Someone, I forget who, in the last 2 pages said he thought it was because the level was starting at LEVEL 7, whereas Aquanos and Mystymire start at LEVEL 5, so the increase in mobs is huge.

I can't confirm right now. I'd hoped someone would check it and make a thread if it's true. That would explain the problem.

They add all them mad cons,even though your the only one that driving it and did not buy it because of them features in the first place.
So now where you could get from a to b on one tank of petrol,it now it takes two tanks of petrol because of the weight.
Also you could get there in x amount of time,now it's slowed you right down and almost taking double time to get there.
you did not buy the car to cost you double your time,and double the money to use it,when your the only person in it,thats why you bought that car afterall.

adding a 3d tv, xbox, and ps3 to the backside of a car is not going to double your required amount of gasoline.

The point is it's all optional. You can play all shards maps on Insane mode and do just fine. And even on Nightmare mode plenty of people have completed it Solo.

You just refuse to admit this. When you bought the car you bought it with INSANE mode only, and then they add Shard DLC which has early access Nightmare. It's all still solo-able. Deal with it. Nightmare is supposed to be difficult.

Go back to your trollcave. If you aren't good enough to beat Nightmare mode solo, I'm sorry.

I don't.. Neither of them presents much of a challenge on insane for a reasonably geared character and they are both soloable on nightmare.
