[Steam] How to Backup your PC OPEN/LOCAL Saves

Recommended Posts

To Back-up your PC Open/Local save files:

Program Files (x86) > Steam > SteamApps > Common > Dungeon Defenders > Binaries > Win32

To Back-up your Mac Open/Local save files:

/Users/*username*/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/dungeon defenders/DunDef.app/Contents/Resources/Engine/Config

In here you will find DunDefHeroes.dun and DunDefHeroes.dun.bak

Simply take these two files and copy them into a safe location.

Every time your game saves it over writes the .dun and .bak files in the Win32 folder. So for those of you concerned I recommend copying these files occasionally to keep the spare back up.

If you ever lose your data you can simply take the copies and place them back into the Win32 folder.

Can you copy dundefheroes.dun files between PC and Mac and vice versa? Yes the game saves work interchangeably.
