Collusion 0 Posted February 15, 2012 Was this done on purpose to force us to use Apprentice towers for some thing? :|
Dizdain 0 Posted February 15, 2012 Was this done on purpose to force us to use Apprentice towers for some thing? :| was clearly accidental seeming they already fixed it. they already submitted 7.17c to valve
ssjrockyrambo 0 Posted February 15, 2012 Are you telling me not a SINGLE PERSON tested this patch before they released it? What's the point of the beta-group then? This is ridiculous.
FruitLord 0 Posted February 15, 2012 Agreed, really guys...test something?
ihearthawthats 0 Posted February 15, 2012 well i'm glad it doesn't cost $40,000 to release a patch on pc like it does on console or trendy would be broke by now.
ssjrockyrambo 0 Posted February 15, 2012 well i'm glad it doesn't cost $40,000 to release a patch on pc like it does on console or trendy would be broke by now. Well at least then if they did release a patch, I doubt we'd need to worry about bugs.
/4n!114 ][c3 0 Posted February 15, 2012 ive always had problems with harpoons hitting smaller enemies, and that was mainly why i never used them. i tried misty today with a squire build, and with 500ish in 3 tower stats, and 400 to range, it was incredibly more easy than with app towers with 900 dmg/spd and 600 hp/rng. to counter this issue though, i just dropped an MM tower at each location, since i had 30 DU to spare with everything set up. Naed.draagur 0 Posted February 15, 2012 Agreed, really guys...test something? Ever think about there being more to beta testing than just submitting bugs ? You know, it does take a dev to fix a bug when its submitted too ....
ssjrockyrambo 0 Posted February 15, 2012 Ever think about there being more to beta testing than just submitting bugs ? You know, it does take a dev to fix a bug when its submitted too .... Oh, I know that, and I don't mean to place blame on the wrong people, I'm just saying, why wasn't this patch tested in a couple games before shipping off? It couldn't have taken that long. JHarlequin 0 Posted February 15, 2012 There are a variety of test methods. Trendy is trying to provide some good updates every week. This patch attempt was to slightly improve harpoon towers, and they tested the variables and got it to work, they tested it in general probably to be sure the code would run. Then they probably tested it on what they intended it to do, so they had orcs going up and down stairs and wyverns flying. Which meant it would hit the orcs, and the wyverns, but they didn't test it on every creature. Which they sort of don't have time to do. Still, the moment they ran it, and then they played with it, and other's played with it, they saw the problem. They quickly figured out what variable was wrong and fixed it. Don't complain that they didn't test, they did test. They just couldn't test for everything and something slipped by. Be glad that they are able to do fixes like this and pay attention. If it was a blizzard or valve game, we might have had to wait at least a week before they fix small mistakes like this.
Bogdanov89 1 Posted February 16, 2012 TE last few patches actually broke the Harpoon Turrets more than they fixed them. TE please bugfix the 7.17c patch as far as the harpoon towers go...
