Use a controller, they can target items stuck under dummies.

its a troll, he purposely put giant items in your shop while you were afk until they went behind the dummies and he couldnt grab them. there pretty much is no way to get rid of it except using a controller, in my experience. Maybe now with the POV slider and zooming in and out you can mess with it, but, wow what a douche bag who did that to you.

Edit; This happened to BOTH of my afk shops today too. Why? Atleast for my trouble i got 50 million out of selling these giant pieces of hack, yeah, and I used it!

The only possible way to delete them is to throw a lot of items on the ground until you hit the item cap, but I'd use items you don't need if I were you.

Throwing items on the ground till item cap is reach, just makes it so you cant throw more items down.

If you don't own a controller, set up about 5-10 MMs targeting the dummy, then get as close to the item as possible and mash E, you should be able to pick it up. Just keep moving around pushing E till you get it. the MMs keep the dummy flat on ground and makes it possible to get.

from the faq:

Q: Unable to pickup item behind dummy.
A: You can use an xbox360 controller to pick this item up if this happens. If you don't have one send a PM to IceArrow with your Steam name for assistance.

Problem with that is.. asking Steam to help with an issue with a hacked item is just asking for trouble.

The person who looks at it ~might~ understand that it was dropped there by someone else and just delete it or they ~might~ just look at it and decide to ban the account in questions for having a hacked item period.

Going that route you are basically at the mercy of the mood of the admin who catches your problem ticket.

That makes no sense, if you aren't guilty then you should have nothing to worry about.

If the admin who looks at the ticket follows the "letter of the law" ie. players with hacked items are auto banned, then yes it does.

It all depends on if the admin bothers:

~ To look at where the item came from...

~ Bothers to read the notes attached to the problem ticket...

~ Believes the OP's story that the item was "just dropped off in the shop" rather than something he traded for that he realized he can't use.

Ultimately going that route puts you at the whim or mood of the admin who investigates the ticket. Not worth it IMO.

This response makes complete sense.

Being to scared to even get a admins help kinda makes you look more guilty then you might be

Randomly banning people because a hacked item shows up will only lose them money

Which is something that I'm certain most CSRs making $10-12 really don't put much thought into.

Like I said, once you get an admin involved it's basically a crapshoot as to what action they may choose to take.

If you have an item stuck under the test dummy you can pick it up if you use an Xbox 360 gamepad. The method of selecting and picking up items with joystick is different than mouse.

If you have another type of PC gamepad or joystick, you can use that if you read this thread:

http://forums.trendyent.com/showthread.php?20170-How-to-use-almost-any-brand-type-of-controller-with-dungeon-defenders-PC-Guide&highlight=emulate+joystick

If you have no joystick, then you can use your keyboard to emulate a joystick if you read this thread:

I mean no disrespect and I understand where you are coming from. However, I honestly believe that you are going a bit overboard with your responses to the situation. You make this out like you're being pulled over by a police officer, and whether or not said official is going to give you a ticket based on their mood.

At the same time, according to the OP and several other posts, this problem is a common occurance. And, lets just say you are correct and the admin deems that you are hacking out of pure speculation (highly doubtful.) If indeed you ARE wrongfully accused, then you escalate the problem.

Again, if you are NOT guilty, then you have nothing to worry about.

My point being that having an obviosly hacked item in your tavern and asking Trendy to look at it -can- lead to potential problems simply due to the fact that the people who investigate these issues may or may not be very competent/qualified and yet still have the ability to ban an account with just a few clicks of a mouse.

Example from WoW: My wife's account was suspended a few years ago when she reported another player for continually spewing a stream of profanities at her for *Gasp* killing his Hordie on a PvP server (He promptly logged in on another account Alliance side and spammed her with Profanities until she put him on ignore, then followed her around doing the same thing in /say for 10 minutes). So she goes ahead and logs a harrasement ticket in the system against the guy naming both his Horde and Alliance characters and logs off.

Check back the next day and HER account is suspended for "profain language" because the GM who investigated the ticked clearly didn't pay a lot of attention to the chat log or notes in the problem ticket.

Long story short, we DID escalate the issue and her account suspension was lifted but only after she lost three days of play time due to the GM's error which ultimately put her off the game so that she never really got back into it again.

Moral of the story: Do not trust low paid employees of game companies to always do what they are susposed to when dealing with actionable issues in game.

I understand, and I'm sorry to hear about your wife's misfortune. That particular experience would put anyone off and certainly make them think twice about a company's customer service repuation. Blizzard should have given you a free month for the stress that they've caused with their error.

Lets just hope that Trendy admins are little more competent than that. And, I'm sure if Trendy made the same mistake, they would hook people up with a free DLC credit or something. *HINT HINT!!!!!*
