at2ocity 0 Posted February 5, 2012 Don't forget, sometimes the save won't corrupt, but other times the same thing that didn't seem a problem might cause it. Meaning, unless you try each method 20+ times, don't rule any out.
UltimaGabe 0 Posted February 5, 2012 This may come off sounding like nothing but a complaint, but I mean it as an honest question. I would love an answer to it. The dev team also told me that they have been unable to reproduce the save corruption glitch here in the office. If we can't reproduce it, then there is no way for us to be able to fix it. If you have experienced the issue, we need as many details as possible concerning what you were doing before your save was corrupted. There must be some common ground that we can find on the issue. My question is this: Why is this being brought up now? Now, as in, AFTER the patch was supposedly submitted? Why was this never brought up in the past several months since the game's release? It seems to me like finding out how to reproduce a glitch, thus finding a way to fix the glitch, is something that needs to be done while you're working on said fix (as in, before the patch is submitted). AnyaMirskii 0 Posted February 5, 2012 Pretty sure the patch hasn't been submitted yet. Submitted or not... I'm having a hard time trying to figure out why nobody else has asked this yet. Why wait until the day after the last day they expected to submit the patch, before asking the community for help with solving an issue? An issue that, in fact, has been around since release? It's just so stupid there are no other words for how stupid it is... Not trying to offend anyone, but I can't think of any other way to put it.

It could possibly be that they havnt had the time to truly look into it untill now? It could be they have been trying every which way to reproduce it till now, but having not had any success with that, they are asking the community ? there are a bunch of other possible reasons too. And please, go back and read the patch note briefing. The console patch wasnt/isnt "just" about to be submitted, they havnt given a date for that, they have however given a timeframe for the patch notes.

If they had no time to look into it from release until now, then all I have to say is wow. Just, wow. That would be the most pathetic attempt at support I've ever heard of. They HAVE had time, they just prefer to coddle PC players rather than fix what's still broken. And yes it could be that, but in which case they should have asked us I dunno, a while ago? And please, go back and read several of the past Digests and dev posts. The console patch WAS "just" about to be submitted, they constantly stated they intended for a January submission. It is now February. The time to ask this was, at the latest, as soon as they started working again when they got back from break.

Again, there is no firm date in those posts. Just as i said the first time around :)

I just want to stress I wasn't trying to insult TE when I used the word "stupid" in my first post, since I'm sure that's the only reason you replied to it. And no, i posted because your statement was just plain "wrong" :) I just made an account, after like a month and a half of lurking the forums, to say this. Which in of itself is rather sad. I really hate to say it, but the way you were talking to AnyaMirskii came off as rather rude. That's not exactly a good thing to be honest. Also with the support we have been getting, we being the console crowd, I think we all have a right to be rather pissed off at trendy. It seems like you guys don't really care to much about the console players. It feels like this company does nothing but cater to the PC crowd and lead the console crowd on. It took Trendy HOW long to finally tell us that we wont be seeing ANYTHING other then lost shards DLC on console? The excuses this company keeps coming up with, in my opinion, sounds like straight up bull****. The whole console limitation thing? Come on now, that is just knowingly feeding us a pack of lies on a silver spoon. Give us more credit than that, please. That is all I have to say at the moment. I feel like I have wasted my energy to be quite honest, because as soon as a mod reads this post its going to get deleted. However, that is how i feel. Thank you guys for what could have been a wonderful experience and I wish you all the best of luck in your future endeavors.

I feel like I have wasted my energy to be quite honest, because as soon as a mod reads this post its going to get deleted. However, that is how i feel. Thank you guys for what could have been a wonderful experience and I wish you all the best of luck in your future endeavors. First off, thank you. Second, not directed particularly at you or anything, just saying this now because it saddens me to read more and more upset posts from fellow consolers, but I've realized a while ago by now (since the news) that there is no point in getting mad. That is why lately I've tried my hardest (except in some cases where I had a discussion with a PC player where he constantly talked down to me) to come off as calm in my posts. I'm not mad, rather, sad, and I'm encouraging all my friends to write e-mails to Trendy begging them to at least release the gender-swaps. Yes, it is a normal reaction to be angry or upset at the news. No, it is not a good response to act vindictive and swear off the game, the company, and all future DLC or game releases. That is counter-productive. The reason we are all so upset over this in the first place, is because this was--and STILL IS--a wonderful, fantastic game, and we will not be receiving the support we'd hoped for. To deny Trendy further support is to cause them to abandon our platform completely; unless they are bound by a contract to Microsoft/Sony to release the remaining QftLES DLC, such responses of "screw you guys, not getting any more of my money!" will make them not want to release the rest at all. Besides, it's not as if the game has any less content or entertainment value now that we've heard this news. (Granted, the entertainment value can be arguable--thinking about how PC has everything and we have hardly anything at all can put a damper on the fun of course, but that doesn't affect the game itself) Rather than writing angry posts, I implore my fellow consolers to write to Trendy as I've asked my friends to do--what harm can it do? XEQU 0 Posted February 6, 2012 i would say pick up a hand power gamer , in best case those, who have got the corrupt savegame or still have them. take this bunch of peeps and put them with one dev together. for instant reply. im working in it industry too... and i cant even imagine u will find the error without help from the community. u need people to test that stuff u wanna know... especially if u cant reproduce the error by urself its important to gain more information. - clarify the basics. what console ure using (xbox , fat . slim which verson of dashbourd) and so on. - what is when u push x button - trie this and exit game - whats the system reaction when u do this... etc.. - push button x.a.x. to activate logging/dev/debug mode to get an errormessage or what so ever.. dont get me wrong. but the process ure doing with community manager is the wrong way. this delay has to less effect on the solution finding. it slows everything down. if u have the fear that ur gametag or a dev is known by somebdoy. just register a TrendyDev Live account (choose what u like of cource) search trustfull people for testing and get this over. in case u get spammed or something leakes choose ur decicion ur own. but this would be the best way ( in my opinion) to get this solfed. i was beta testing anno1703 it was a similar procedure. guys just a bit brainstorm ;-)
Orko 1 Posted February 6, 2012 Hipnochan I don't know if you saw this what I typed. But what are the patch notes and my questions If you place a (change storage) in the game option.. Then you can save the game to that storage would that work? I have two save files, the other one is label back up save? What your thoughts about the option save?
Majikal 0 Posted February 6, 2012 I like the option to beable to change storage devices. Its a pain having to sign back out then back in just to switch.

AWAKENiiNG 0 Posted February 6, 2012 One more question: To the people who have had corruption issues, are you all playing online or on local play? to be exact, i was hosting an online game with one other friend (private lobby). we were playing glitterhelm hard or insane survival on like wave 11 when my xbox froze. when i got back on my save was corrupted. dabbel619 0 Posted February 6, 2012 I want to share how the save corrupt file thingy happened to me: I finished mistymire on insane for the first time alone using my Sodas Addiction event weapon. Then I went back to the tavern by using the crystal (pressed start in the crystal menu). Back in my tavern I did only one thing, upgrading my recently earned Gosshamer Sharpshooter. After that I was waiting until the blue saving circle was gone, because I was aware of the save corrupt thingy. I went back to the main menu(start-main menu). There I was waiting again, blue circle took more than 10 sec to dissapear. I thought that was abnormal, but hey I was waiting till it was gone so nothing could happen to me. Next day save file was corrupt. Ive played only once local and that was month ago.
iamisom 2 Posted February 6, 2012 Hey, guys. We've tried all day to reproduce the save corruption glitch, and we've been unsuccessful. Maybe there's something else that we should look out for. To those who've had corrupted saves, what 360 or PS3 are you using? (As in, slim 360 or slim PS3; hard drive space, etc.) How much hard drive space do you have left? Any details you can give might help.
Cladun 0 Posted February 6, 2012 I use an xbox elite and only had 1 gb of memory left-using the 4gb of memory that came with it to download the game-and had my save corruption by pressing the xbox button to turn off the game while in my tavern(offline.) I do not know if it was autosaving or not(most likely yes.)
