Lagginhard 0 Posted January 7, 2012 Whether it is actually hacked or not I don't know, but the stats and damage are well within the games known limits. Have personally seen better swords drop in misty then that, both stats and damage wise.

Kaglaz1113 0 Posted January 8, 2012 No one here can say it's hacked or not, unless of course they are a dev, or can look at the open source code and determine that. Every post anyone puts up here asking about a potentially hacked item, someone will almost definitely say it is, and someone will almost definitely say it isn't. Either way, unless otherwise stated, they have no evidence to support their comment and just speculating. My observations: - It is within the games legal stats, as far as I can tell, so it's not an obvious hack in that regard - Any item you don't loot yourself is potentially hacked, which means you run the risk of having a hacked item by doing ANY trading, whether it looks hacked or not - The item looks really good, and I haven't seen an item like that drop, but I'm not getting past 20 in NM survivals yet, never mind with hardcore and mixed mode options. - People talk about legitimate items that are far beyond the stats on this one. This is the way I see it: White area: Don't do any trading, don't accept items, only play with and sell what you loot. Gray area: Don't trade for items that look too good to be true. Gray area: Don't trade for items that appear to go beyond the games normal capabilities. Gray area: Don't hack items, but trade freely. Black area: Hack items and/or mana I think most people fall in the gray area somewhere. Personally, I would keep it, because it looks like it would be hard to attain. However, only use it if I started to see more and more people with those caliber weapons.

Thanks for the post, I'm in the same boat as you where I have never been to Nightmare, Hardcore, Mix-Mode, and Survival anything so my knowledge is limited. Looking at the magnitude of games that people sell (for real money) in their shops, this seems to make it just on par or slightly under par. I'll follow your advice, thanks!
