JPeters 0 Posted January 4, 2012 Hey Dungeon Lovers, So you can’t connect to TrendyNet? This could be one of many reasons. The first step is to check TrendyNet's status to see if it's reportedly down. TrendyNet Status. You can also check for Steam downtime. The second step to figuring out what your case may be is to create a Log File of an attempt to connect to TrendyNet. You can do this by visiting the following thread:http://forums.trendyent.com/showthread.php?4797-Submitting-Crash-Dump-Files-and-Logs Remember, you are getting a Log File, not a Crash Dump File. Once you have the Log File, open it up in Notepad. Use “Ctrl+F” and type in “CFS: EVENT” This will bring you to the error you are receiving and will look something like one of the following: CFS: EVENT CFS_OnLoginError: ERROR 15 MESSAGE User authentication failed, user banned or CFS: EVENT CFS_OnLoginError: ERROR 116 MESSAGE HTTP Error 116 Status Text: 'Open URL Failed: Wininet Error Code: 2 Now that you know what the problem is, you can begin to resolve it. If you received “ERROR 15 MESSAGE User authentication failed, user banned” then you have been banned from TrendyNet. If you do not know why you were banned, send an e-mail to [email]feedback@trendyent.com[/email] with a link to your Steam profile and ask him politely to look into your case. If you received “ERROR 116 MESSAGE HTTP Error” then you have not been banned, but there is most likely an issue with your “Work Offline” mode, Anti-Virus, or Firewall. These errors will be accompanied with a Wininet error code. The first step is to identify your code. The following is a link to a webpage with descriptions of Wininet error codes and what causes them:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/193625 Next, you should be able to determine a solution to your specific codes. The most common that I have seen is Wininet error code 2, which can be solved through the following steps: On the desktop, • Click on the Start button • Internet Explorer • Tools • Work offline, this is probably ticked, please untick this Now again click on • Tools • Internet options • Connections tab • Select the box that says ‘Never dial a connection’ This should now allow you to connect to TrendyNet. ***Log: CFS: EVENT CFS_OnFileLoadError: ERROR 0 MESSAGE A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the login process. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.)*** This was an issue this morning that people were getting due to a full database error. It should be fixed now. Just let me know if you are still having issues. If you cannot find a solution online to your specific Wininet error, you should try adding Dungeon Defenders to your allowed programs in your Anti-Virus program and Firewall. Logging on has been working for me for a few weeks now, and it ceased to work with no changes to my system, I suspect some sort of server issue... chexy 0 Posted January 25, 2012 guys I just got in, been trying things for last 15 mins and something in this combination worked. Reset computer, reset router, launched game but went into config and changed to windowed mode, then when game launched I went to online and went to open. Proceeded to join a game, quit... but not close the game, then went back to online, and closed and it worked. I'm in now Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Endgame 0 Posted January 27, 2012 Earlier today I encountered the following problem. I tried to enter online ranked but it gave me error message "Failed To Connect To TrendyNet". Then I made a log file of it and it said "Log: CFS: EVENT CFS_OnLoginError: ERROR 14 MESSAGE User authentication failed: last response - RESPONSE Error URL http://ddcloudfs.cloudapp.net/Authenticate.ashx?usernamehex=456e6467616d65&password=14000000b..." Maybe it was just a coincidence but I got this problem fixed in the following way. Open steam library -> Right click Dungeon Defenders -> Select properties -> Open Local Files tab -> Then I pressed "Defragment of cache files" and after that "Verify Integrity of Game Cache". When it finished verifying integrity of Game Cache it said something like "Verifying 6 files failed, getting new files" and when it loaded dungeon defenders, I tried to get online ranked and got in. Mini09 0 Posted February 10, 2012 I'm having an issue when I try to play on ranked mode, while connecting to trendy my game crashes, no error message, it just crashes. I don't know why because I played with no problems before this issue. I made the log but it only says CFS: EVENT CFS_OnFileLoadSuccess 22452 I contacted steam support as they couldn't do anything they advised me to contact third party support department, and I did it several times. I think its amazing how trendy won't even answer (I paid the game and I can't play it, amazing hum?). So I'm here asking again (yea like the 100 time) can someone PLEASE look into my problem? Slithermoon 0 Posted February 25, 2012 I cant join anyonline game because the online game option is disabled. I tryed to verify local files and defrag them and result was the same. I tryed to create the log file but i dont have in my steam folder the folders you are talking about Yours path: Program Files(x86) > Steam > SteamApps > common > Dungeon Defenders > UDKGame > Logs Mine path: C:\Programs\Steam\logs So now im pretty desperate because i dont know what to do; some people who i metsayd i got banned but i dont think so because: 1) there are no reasonably reason to got ban 2) no mail or notification says that so Am i wrong? raptor_q 0 Posted February 29, 2012 I had a game freeze during the "Proceeding to next level" title, shut down the game and i haven't been able to reconnect after that, around an hour has passed and i've tried the solutions offered here on the website. Log says i've got a Code 12031Log: CFS: EVENT CFS_OnLoginError: ERROR 116 MESSAGE HTTP Error 116 Status Text: 'Open URL Failed: Wininet Error Code: 12031 The website over the codes says it is a. 12031 ERROR_INTERNET_CONNECTION_RESET The connection with the server has been reset.
