DivineAura 0 Posted December 16, 2011 I'm using a 3k HP/ 200k DPS/ 287 fairy monk but died twice on insane monster fest? Before the 7.13 patch I don't die and my health always remain at full but now the ogre kills within few hits....
Nyo 0 Posted December 16, 2011 What are your resists at?
ezkankekko 0 Posted December 16, 2011 Those HP figures are really unimpressive. Are you sure you were playing on insane before the patch? How are your resists? I'm assuming that you're standing inside of a strength drain aura?

grienne54 0 Posted December 16, 2011 87% resist. standing inside auras? And those HP numbers are fine if a 2.3k mage can do it you should be able to
Rainbow 0 Posted December 16, 2011 I think you do take more damage now, though if you stand inside the Auras you should be fine. I just tried it and while I was standing in the Auras I didn't notice a difference, aside from that annoying as hell knockback.
fontarin 0 Posted December 16, 2011 Also dying a good bit more on insane umf - 3k health, max resists. I used to never get more than 50 below my max health.
Dr3aMCaster 0 Posted December 16, 2011 I found this to be true too. They certainly seemed buff. 5k hp on huntress. Never died once or went below 4k hp before. Died half a dozen times.
DivineAura 0 Posted December 16, 2011 Before the patch I can do the steamroller mode where I can hit all the enemies without auras and without losing more than 10% HP but now I lose HP easily :/ guessed they really buffed those monsters. I'll only die while getting stuck prior to 7.13 patch.
WorstPlayerEver 0 Posted December 16, 2011 Yes guys. I experienced this same thing. I suspect it MIGHT be either a) intended behavior -- insane is merely buffed b) BUG WITH RESISTS. I get a feeling the problem is actually they screwed up the resists. While it says 87%, I am fairly certain, we are still experiencing 56% resist (the same penalty if you play nightmare mode). DivineAura 0 Posted December 16, 2011 a) intended behavior -- insane is merely buffed If it's intended then they should reveal it on the patch notes lol.

Edstonx 0 Posted December 16, 2011 That's odd, haven't tried since patch. But pre patch I was using only 1.7k huntress and was fine under str aura till there were at least 10 ogres punting me at once. Then I would have to kinda circle dance to reduce the damage. Andypanda 0 Posted December 16, 2011 Yeah I had the same issue tonight. I have never died inside an aura stack on insane UMF and tonight I was one shot more than once with capped resist and 2900 hps. Doesn't seem like that should happen.
ruuuuuru 0 Posted December 16, 2011 I have yet to go through all the new forum threads, because people probably noticed it already, but: changes I suspect TrendyEnt ninja'd (i.e. not included in the patch notes for whatever reason) in 7.13: - insane mode buff - monster damage buffed, loot buffed (observed on surv mix mode), - trap health nerf (many less charges on my proximities for example), goes for auras too (they seem to die pretty fast now), - shop weirdness - removed 30m price cap, completely rewritten (or just modified?) loot pricing. Those are the things I've observed in the 30 minutes I've been playing now. Probably more to come. EDIT: OK, I'm fairly sure I was wrong about the loot prices. Seems that 7.13c made them equal to previous patches. But yeah, the tavern shop cap was removed and I can't afford the pets anymore.

ruuuuuru 0 Posted December 16, 2011 1: Very possible, but apparently they improved loot from insane mode as well. Yup. I don't hate those kinds of changes. Make it harder, but make it worth the effort. Wonder about people who had no chance to reach wave 25 (or actually survive it), because they bought the game too late, though... 2: No idea, first I've heard of it. Previously my trap-build huntress had like ~150 charges on a fully upgraded proximity trap. Now it's 115. I'm not entirely sure about the aura thingie - they may go down much faster also because the mobs are stronger (which they definitely are). EDIT: I have to rethink this one. But I'm almost completely sure they were at least 121+ and I did not change any gear since yesterday. 3: Glitch, already fixed on their side, will be resolved in 13a But I am playing 7.13a. I think we're talking about two different things here: you - about the bug that made all loot really, really cheap when sold, me - about it being cheaper than it used to be and that I've got 150+m pets locked in shop now. They were 30m previously. I'm not exactly sure where this one is heading, cause I do have trouble getting that much mana. In fact I've never even reached 50m, and trust me, I do play a lot. Steam says 433h currently. Yeah, I don't sell many things... I don't like shops at all, but they're necessary evil IMO. another EDIT: BTW I just have to mention that I LOVE the new FOV adjustment option. This allows me to spot DEWs much faster when they just fly above me, and - often - shoot them down before they deal the damage. Hate the PS nerf, though, because I won't be able to counter 10 120k+ hp DEWs flying over my head anymore...
kiddOs 0 Posted December 16, 2011 When I bought the DLC pack, I immediately tried Nightmare mode. I thought it was going to be easy, but it isn't. My squire doing 200k without bloodrage, 674k with bloodrage with 90% resist at all resistance, base hp with 21k and a fairy that is healing for 1.1k dps. In nightmare mode, my hp was 130k my damage was reduced. I wasn't in any aura. The orges 2-3hit me. I've no idea how to win this mode. I'm in deeper well. futballer9684 0 Posted December 16, 2011 Dev response? This wasn't in the patch notes, so maybe its a bug? I could solo this pre-patch without ever losing much life as long as i was in a Str-drain, and even then I could run out from time to time while using Call to Arms. Now I die inside str-drain as soon as the ogres start mobbing, or you get a bunch of ninjas at once. Before the patch I can do the steamroller mode where I can hit all the enemies without auras and without losing more than 10% HP but now I lose HP easily :/ guessed they really buffed those monsters. nivlam 0 Posted December 16, 2011 I just finished insane UMF, but I had to switch from my usual Imp pet to using my apprentice guardian. With my strength drain aura boosted to 5% damage and 87% resists across the board, I still get very close to dying when there are too many ogres. Another thing that is extremely annoying is the knockback effect now. There are times when both ninjas and ogres swarm me and actually knock me out of my aura stack. I'm going to guess our mods are mostly ASLEEP... so wait until tomorrow to start complaining about a mod not commenting yet. Though at the same time trendy did say in patch notes that they were rebalancing the mobs again. The only thing that threw me off is they have it under the DLC as an add on to another part of the patch. Eternia Shards Premium DLC: * Added Part 1 missions: Mistymire Forest, Portal Defense, LifeStream Hollow Uber MonsterFest (8-player), LifeStream Hollow PvP * Added early-access to "Nightmare" difficulty mode for owners of the 'Eternia Shards Complete Pack' DLC, with Eternia Shard enemies featured, & corresponding level, enemy, spawn layout & boss rebalancings
