pmasher 0 Posted December 16, 2011 The current patch 7.13 on Steam has been reported to delete items from your shop. Please refrain from updating if you have items in your shop, until a hotfix is released tomorrow. Another solution is to remove the items from your shop, update, and then put them back in your shop. If you have already updated please email lostheroes@trendyent.com with the Subject Title "Lost Shop Items From Patch 7.13." Make sure to include your current Steam name in the email and we will attempt to recover as many of the items from your backup save as we can. Edit: This is now fixed and we are submitting it to Valve shortly. Edit: Valve is propogating the update now and it should be available soon.
ice252 0 Posted December 16, 2011 Hahaha, this is great lol. Steam doesn't allow you to play the game without updating to 7.13. Only solution is to not play/patch until the hotfix.

Cyriel 0 Posted December 16, 2011 Sometimes it goes wrong :) No sweat, not mad or anything. Things happen and it's nice to see your response is so quick :) Remain awesome, trendy gentlemen.
ice252 0 Posted December 16, 2011 You can disable the update in properties. lol, you can do that, but that'll only disable the autopatch. when you go to play the game, it'll update it.

DUCKanay 0 Posted December 16, 2011 So what do I do? I added items recently but I don't think I lost any. Do I remove them from shop? Can I change their prices?
unsubtle 0 Posted December 16, 2011 So if you 'restore items from a backup save' does that mean you just rollback our account? or only add the items? I gained a bunch of good pets from UMF last night and am worried that you'll just rollback to restore part of my shop (maybe 100m worth in there) while also undoing all my new items (billion + worth) And another question: can we play while waiting for the restore? or will we lose our new items earned between the patch and the restore being done? I'd really like to know both these things for certain, I'm sure most people would.

braveturtle 8 Posted December 16, 2011 so its still not safe to update atm?
Ceron 0 Posted December 16, 2011 If you haven't already patched and tried to play, I suggest against it. Trendy will probably have to do a rollback, so any progress you would make tonight would be undone with a rollback.

Icephyre 0 Posted December 16, 2011 For clarity, is it the patching process that wipes the shop or is it once you launch DD after applying the patch that wipes the shop?
dreeft 0 Posted December 16, 2011 Is the 'fix' a replacement update? or will it be a hotfix and take a day to implement?
Xavia 0 Posted December 16, 2011 Oh right already updated, not been on though so if I don't start this till fix will I be ok or shall I email you ?
NVXE 0 Posted December 16, 2011 Just added: Thanks for the quick fix! I've not downloaded the current patch yet but even if a new fix is available I would have to download 7.13 first anyway (since I paused it) So if I download 7.13 without starting the game, do you recon I would be fine? Thank you.
reiyushin 0 Posted December 16, 2011 Can you let us know when the fix is live?
Edstonx 0 Posted December 16, 2011 Can you let us know when the fix is live? Something is patching NOW. My shop was already cleared out. So someone else will have to test the new update.
JeremyStieglitz 1 Posted December 16, 2011 7.13a which is now released has fixed this, but it's not retroactive to any lost Shops from 7.13 However, TrendyNet does automatic backups every few hours of user data, so if you lost shop items by upgrading to 7.13, e-mail your steam username to lostheroes@trendyent.com as described in the original topic post, and we'll get to restoring your items over the weekend. Thanks dudes & dudettes, Jer
