Are Chickens tradeable?

As far as I can tell, the trade does not work on the console, and I can't drop because it's not drop-able (which is probably a good thing).

I wasn't 100% sure whether or not to post it here as I'm not sure if this is a "problem" or a "feature". Are chickens supposed to be tradeable?

Be aware as I seen this - if a player is trading/selling tradeable chickens, its a modded item.

Chicken Trading is NOT Modding.

My friend has a chicken pet and has told me that you can trade chickens IN-GAME. (Meaning NOT in the Tavern)

EX:

Player Hosts Private Match > Host invites desired trade partner > Host selects "The Summit" > Both players drop Chickens in the map and pick up each others.

I can NOT confirm or deny if this is true for 100% certainty as I'm 4-5 challenges away from my own.

Sorry, I can deny that exact method. A legitimate chicken has the drop option disabled both in tavern and on field.
