My issues with DD. (Long read)

Hey all.

I lead a raiding guild in Warcraft and I've been an active player for 7 years. I've begun to notice DD is starting a feel a little like WoW so I thought I'd throw in my two cents.

Here are a couple of my issues with the game at the moment that I hope can be resolved in order to improve the quality of this game:

The game is a grind after beating the campaign: As of right now the "end game" of DD is a grind, and it feels like reaching max level in WoW. Currently the only way to do the high level content in the game is to spend hours on Survival Mode which as we all know slows down considerably at the later waves. My friends whom I played campaign with have no interest in doing any of this and would prefer to have more regular levels to play on which yield similar rewards.

A proposed solution: Add more campaign content that gives players rewards a step below what the hardcore players get for slogging through insane survival. Don't leave out the player base who can't dedicate all their time to this game. This way the people who are grinding survival and UMF don't feel like they wasted their time. If they are willing to dedicate the time, they deserve the better rewards.

The end game is no longer about tower defense: This is my biggest issue with this game at the moment. UMF is currently the best place to get the best gear and it often requires players to have characters built specifically for DPS. Save for the occasional monk aura, it's very unfriendly to players who built their characters for tower building and don't want to respec/level a new character.

A proposed solution: Updates should include more tower defense related content. Basically I just want to see lots more normal levels and less of the challenges.

That was the goal of UMF. You can go from Insane glitter to the first few waves of UMF with the proper set up.
People who are grinding insane survival and UMF are getting the best loot in the game, why is that such a waste of time?

End game content should not be clearable by tower builders alone, just like someone without monk auras or a very innovative strategy cannot clear UMF on insane.

By the way, you CAN use towers in UMF. Look into getting a guardian or two.

insane glitter (not survival, regular) lets you get pretty awesome pets from the shop, in addition to the chests dropping 20-30 upgrade armors. the funny thing is the head honcho himself stated that nightmare mode is going to be fast fights with 7.12 level gear dropping.
