So... how do I get good?

Recommended Posts

Hi, I've been playing this game solo off and on for a while.

I've seen some pretty insane equips (like 40+ upgrades). I've seen people with hundreds of millions of mana...

I have a level 70 tower Monk with a decent Animus pet and a decent 31 upgrade melee weap (haloween hard reward). With hero boost I can do about 60k dps (including my pet dmg).

The thing is, I can farm a lot of mana from several maps... In fact I have like 20m mana, but I have nothing worthy to upgrade. I feel like you can only get the good equips if you have good equips in the first place... Where the hell do I start? Is soloing not even a viable option?

Any advice of any form would be appreciated (i.e good maps to farm armor on, maybe even recommended setups)

You could browse the shops for items. 55 upgrade weapons aren't that expensive if you look around.

If you want to obtain the good drops yourself from Survival, you need more than just Monk. Be it friends or leveling alts, you need at least another class to do Survival.

Well, i dont like to say it, but you've lost the opportunity to get decent loot and play along with the grown ups. So, you'll have to grind and grind and grind hard glitter, until you can buy an super-loot weapon and get the opportunity to farm and farm and farm to get one yourself.

Kidding.

Try glitter, till you can make it on insane... ...then alch-surv-mix... ...IF you just wanna get better stuff.

If you looking for some fun, look for ppl to play with :)

I have a 70 squire and soon to be 70 apprentice. Squire has a mediocre high five, apprentice has **** equips. I'd love to upgrade a nice staff or something but I dont have one!

Glitter hard if you can manage. Also one of the best places to level up your alts provided you can get the setup right.

Insane glitter imho is good but the difficulty jump from hard to insane is a little too much for most people to handle on their own. Get some friends or people who did it before and see what happens :)

Actually with you monk and that DPS I would recommend uberfest on medium, you can get weapons with 40-48 ups in medium and armor with 30-38. Solo I fail at 12/14 or 13/14 but I still get decent rewards, and soon enough I'll be moving onto hard.

My strat for it is using a gaurdian to buff my auras I build with my monk and I actually use a huntress for dps, but when i started i was only doing about 50k dps. I just stack ensnare lightning healing and str drain and wait for them to come. Up through wave 10 is a cake walk. On my huntress in between waves, i place strategic prox mines to lighten up the waves, but without them you can still do quite well.
